I have the same PR-4000 rack with two pairs of the flat j cups and love the flat ones. Good review. I didn’t realize the rounded j cups were that much bulkier. Flat ones are rock solid and I like the play with them.
I actually use my monolifts for all of my barbell presses. They're a huge shoulder saver- not to mention getting you into position. They do however suck for squats. I use Titan's roller J-cups on my PR-4000 for that.
Both of those bad boys are on a sweet 4th of July sale right now. I have one of each. Prefer the flat sandwich for squats because of the smaller lip and I always use the 38mm Titan SSB, which ""almost"" needs the extra room. Bench I'd be fine with either but prefer the round for high RPE blind returns.
@@NoFate247 I consider my restraint in not buying more just to lower my average cost as a big discount on their utility bench . Cone on REP, when can I get it?
I bought 2 flat sandwich cups pairs I like the play in them. I didn't realize how much more beefy the round ones are. The pictures don't do it justice on their site.
Well right now my main jcups are the Titan Monster Rollers Cups. That's not a knock to Rep though I would use Ohio Bar 28.5 mm and the Rogue Rackable bar. I use normal bars nothing that's considered specialty shaft wise.
@@NoFate247 according to their specs they look to be identical besides the pin size. Just seems crazy to have such a significant jump in price for having a 1" rack. Pretty much 30% my more. Love your videos btw!
@@NoFate247 The spec on the website says 40mm or less. That's about 1.6" but the Cambered Swiss Bar (and most specialty bars) are 2" outer diameter.... 🤔
@@NoFate247 Thanks for confirming! I figured it would likely still fit, (and that spec was REP erring on the side of caution) but I'm glad to hear it does work in-practice.... 👍🏼
Which do you prefer?

Yeah I got the rounded in and was like dang didn't expect the difference
I really, really dislike the lack of a securing pin for these types of j cups. I really enjoyed the look at them though! It’s not you, it’s me😂
If I had a dime everytime I heard that :)

Do you like the roller j cups? Been looking at reviewing those
@@NoFate247 I actually do! I highly recommend them. For 75 bucks, you can't go wrong. Plus, they fit my Rep rack perfectly.
I don't have a rack or lift but I had to know the difference!
That's the kind of subscriber I love! The real ones 💯🔥🔥🔥
Nice review. I'm gonna get the round ones now because I already ordered the Cambered Swiss Bar. I'll use your link when I do.
Let me know so I can send you a thank you gift 🙏

They are both on sale, almost making me wish I didn't own them so I could get a good deal

Thanks for showing the difference
Have the Rep sandwich cups on my rogue monster rack. Love them. Even similar Custom paint job
Great minds 💎💎💎
Good comparison of the two types. Would not have really noticed the difference other than the price.
I honestly thought they would weigh the same until I got them both in hand.
Gimme as little lip as possible!
I can see how that lip can be an issue for your power lifters hitting those prs, might interfere with your setup
Checking in!
How'd you like that intro song!!? How was Vegas bro

Exactly!!! I had no idea until I got them in house. What type of bars do you use with yours

what is the difference in height from the bar trough to the top of the lip?
Less than half an inch
So the pr5000 flat ones (1") cost $35 more then pr4000 flat ones (5/8") and only difference is the pin size. Big price jump for just a bigger pin
I am not sure why it's such a big jump but I haven't held the 5000 attachments so not certain

Both will be fine. Actually the standard J-cups will probably work for most people jaja
They definitely would. But a used mini van will get you where you are going but a lot of people want that premium vehicle or even an ev
Thought this was going to be some sort of sports bra review. 😔😔😔
Don't yet need one, but it's coming LOL
Will the rounded J cups prevent the rep camber bar from spinning down to hit me in the head when doing bench?
Yes they will
I loved Blades of Steel
Great Catch! Epic game
I just received my Rep cambered bar today. My flat j cups had the bar flipping. Will the rounded j cups help with that issue somewhat
Yes the rounded j cups have the cambered bar locked in
I assume the Rounded J-Cups don't work with your Rep Cambered Swiss Bar?
Oh they work just fine. Why do you think they wouldn't?

Rounded for me
Are the Rep 4000 j cups compatible with the Rogue Monster Lite racks?
No not exactly
Rep is a foreign 3x3 so not exactly 3 inches by 3 inches
How did you get those red
Great question, I undcrewed them and spray painted the metal part. Thanks for watching and subscribing
