I agree about some of the Lautie stuff seeming to have a pretty niche target audience, but the Choc is a REALLY good piece. A great mechanical slider with very nice travel/feel/sound. I see your other comment about the Top B as well… recently got a Rain in Ti and love that one too. Wish there was a slider that was a combination of the two, it'd be perfect! (i.e. a Top B with maybe 8 clicks each direction instead of just two).
@@FidgetFocused The Top D has been on my radar for a while, for sure. The factory setup on the Rain (peek plate, ceramic balls) is exactly what I wanted when I was looking at Bubble tuning vids, so If I could get the Top D sounding like that, I'd probably snag one pretty quick. Guess I need to watch some Top D tuning videos! 👍
Imho the only Lautie product that is pretty worth their usually inflated prices is the mechanic ring. Affordable and pretty unique in its class. Can't really think of any other substantial magnetic ring that competes at the same price off the top of my head.
@@LeonValenti agree with all of that but I will say this one’s good. The ring was underwhelming to me. I much prefer the acedc haptic rings. But It was also like a series 1 Lautie ring when they first released so maybe I need to revisit!
@FidgetFocused you oughta try the mechanic-c and take some magnets out for a light haptic spin feeling that I haven't found in any other line of rings. I recommend a 2-3 magnet setup. Also, the only thing stopping me from getting a choc after your review is my desire for another Top-B 🤣
This one really appeals to me, but you mentioned it wasn't your favorite mechanical track slider. Among similar items, what would you say is a safer bet?
@@volkovoy1191 depends. If you like quieter mechanicals this is really a good bet. But there are others like the 01edc mini burger that is a beautiful loud ping and the tango edc sugar cube that is softer but middle of the road sound wise

@@RossHoekman there’s always the top-d! That thing is an incredible hybrid of great clicks, metal toys brand, and plenty of travel

@ there’s a peek top-d that you can get. It’s glorious
Got mine the other day and I love that little slider it sounds different depending on which side you slide it
