One thing I've always loved about Bill is that, since he wrote for and acted in few of the sketches on Chappelle's show; he knew that what they were doing was some revolutionary/boundary pushing comedy. He still adapts alot of the bits from that era in a way that it isn't a generic copy of the joke. It's a retelling. In the best possible way.

Perfectly true, those times someone talks at you and all you can wonder is why would anyone pay attention to this.
As a female, I *DO* catch myself yammering on and on. I feel bad for guys. But, if the guy asks me how my work day was, and I'm telling him, I'll throw in some odd stuff such as, "Then Candace ate the taco that was WAY over it's expiration date and the next thing you know... she turns into a Zombie and starts attacking the people in finance...". I love this channel. With everything thats going on at the moment its good to finally here things from people who are level headed. Just some light hearted relatable content irrelevant of who you are. From a white guy to you two it's great to hear how much we are the same compared to always hearing how we are different all of the media and socials. if people spent more time discussing and sharing in forums such as this we would quickly realise that the issues we have are with the small one percenters and together we could weed them out. keep up the good work!

Oh my gosh I swear Bill Burr is teaching me life skills. What you guys were talking about at 11:03 is so true. Women like to talk, share and vent. Your reaction is the same for most guys, just trying to care and picking up bits and pieces. I know we can be a headache but in those moments women just want to connect with you and to feel heard. I know for me it feels so nice when someone cares enough to listen to your side especially when you need to vent. It's how women bond. You don't need to know all the names and details but if you can understand the core of what she is saying and have some empathy that goes a long way :)

I"m older than you guys and I never heard of Burr until I found reactions on TH-cam about a year ago.
There are probably a few, if not, a lot more comedians out there we haven't heard of, who we might like. But, how do you go about trying them out? Just listen to every damn video. I mean, after I first heard Amy Schumer's Sex Stuff, I laughed all throughout it, her other specials weren't as good, but it made me want to try and listen to more female stand-ups, so I searched a dozen of them, kept following the videos YT was suggesting and none of them were funny to me.
Saw Sebastian Maniscalco on Comedians in Cars, thought "this guy just might be THE comedian/style for me", and he wasn't. Got nothing out of his special I watched. Not even a smile. Ironically, the only thing I took for him, was the deodorant thing he talked about on Seinfeld's show and that's it. And I remember it almost every day, whenever I spray myself.
So, it's difficult to find comedians who can make you laugh and who can make you take stuff away from their act. Even if you cannot personally relate to what they're talking about, like relationships or marriage, you can still laugh, but it's hard to find one that hits that bar or that area where you go beyond even just smiling to yourself and laugh out of loud.

In my opinion its unhealthy if a couple doesnt ever argue. If someone never disagrees with you then they're being fake as hell telling you everything you want to hear.
This is very true. On the other hand, if you’re arguing every other day that’s not healthy either. Talking things out is different than arguing, though. It’s normal to talk things out on the daily. It’s not normal to argue every freaking day or other day.

Communication is vital to a relationship and sometimes communication comes in the form of an argument, that's perfectly normal and a part of the reality of having close interpersonal relationships. No one is identical to anyone else so there's bound to be friction between people who are very close or spend a lot of time together. How you handle it determines whether it's a beneficial process or a toxic detrimental process.

actual perfect guy IS one that you fight with every now and then... The thing that everyone seems to forget is that when you fight, you are both actually fighting to stay together... If you didnt fight, it would be because you didnt care about keeping the relationship.
I don't know about that, some people just like to argue. My husband tries to argue with me, but I don't take the bait and I don't let him get me emotional. Result is him arguing with himself lol . He seems to love arguing and I just won't have it. If he's in a pissy mood, I'm going out and I'll be back when he can speak like a civil human. Best advice I ever got was "Don't get caught up in someone else's bad mood and let them ruin yours".

Are there not times when you are willing to engage in an argument with your husband because it isnt something you want to concede or wait till later to discuss?
@@grimtrix Most arguments are the result of the other person wanting something from you or wanting you to stop doing something - I prefer to skip all the emotional argument junk and get down to business. When he starts, my first question "what do you need, or what to you want to stop?" If it is possible to fulfill the request, then its done - no fussing and getting emotional about it. If it's not possible, I say so and ask what I can do instead. Things can be simple if you really want them to be, and I absolutely hate drama - so I like to keep it simple.

I was told by my grandpa that stress and argument are the life blood of a long term relationship. He was a neurosurgeon, married for 48 years, and although he and my grandma rarely fought he felt that it kept him alive longer. She died at 91 and he died one year later.
