JFYI, air assisted clutches aren't new to drag bikes. They are new for other makes/models, but the idea/use is far from new on Hayabusa.
Seb at NLR built his NLR Boost Lockup for Busa "several years ago" and James Doughtery (RIP) designed and built a "2-stage Air Clutch" that was in Paul Stefansky's Kawasaki Funny Bike (over 30 years ago). I know that because I was the rider on Pauly's FB back then (with James' 2-stage air clutch in it).
Fun Facts, the last time I rode Pauly's FB was next to (BEHIND at the finish line) *Bob Malloy on the John Sands Nitro Injected HONDA* and James Doughtery worked at MTC (way back when the first Slider Clutches were designed/released for GS and Z-1)...

That's awesome to hear as a young guy. Iv been working for about a year on a compressed air spool assist and clutch locker based off a ardino. Bikes a 155cc compound turbo deal so glad to see I have a design I can look at. Lmao xr200 clutch was never made for this kinda power let alone 10k clutch dumps 😂
