You deserve much more recognition, I have a professor who's not great at explaining and demonstrating the proper way to implement APA. Thank you so much for the demonstration at the end!!!!!!! I'm finally handed a strategy and a way to tackle this bull.
Chelsea, all of your tutorials have been a life saver. I'm in my last term of nursing school and I have received 100% on all of my written assignments. You make writing papers actually tolerable
Thank you for your support and taking the time to share. I'm happy to hear my videos are helpful to you. At the end of the day, the hard work is all you though. Way to go!
Took a year off of school to focus on work and now I'm back in school full time to finish up by the end of this year. I never understood APA but tried to fill in the blanks when a paper was due. I come back and I hear there was a new edition to learn. Upset, I went to TH-cam to help. Seriously made my life so much easier!!! THANK YOUUUUUU!!!!!
You're welcome! I know how frustrating APA can be. Especially since they just changed it! I have a full playlist for the new APA if you need help with anything else. Good luck to you and thank you for supporting this channel!
I’m in the military and we just started using this out of no where. There has been so many changes to the last paper I wrote 3-4 years ago. Thank you for doing these videos, it cleared up a lot of questions I had.
2 years later and your still being a huge help for students! Thank you so much for explaining how to format headings and subheadings in a simple manner. You don't know how grateful I am!
finally, this parallel showcase of heading with the actual paper made wonders. I have been struggling with this for over a year. THANK YOU! ( from a Greek Graduate Student)
Thank you so much!!! I spent so much time trying to figure this out and other sources I found were so confusing! This video was extremely helpful - it broke everything down step by step and I can now confidently submit my paper knowing that my headings are APA compliant! :D
Thanks to you Chelsea on my midterm paper I got a perfect score of 100%! I had proper APA formatting throughout my paper and also understood everything that I was writing about. Thanks for your amazing content (:
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for helping me with countless papers for several years now. I always come back to this vid for the refresher and I'm always impressed with how well you teach and how easy it is for me to apply the teachings. I'm writing my last paper before graduation. Thank you.
I just wanted to say thank you, I've been struggling this past week with better understanding APA in this particular area, your video made it so much clearer to me.
Grateful you took the time to explain in plain English how to follow the APA format. Doing my MHA online has been very stressful with all the assignments due every Monday. I always get points off based on the APA. Thank you, I am sure going to follow you and share your videos with friends/classmates.
Thank you!! I was just told to write a 7-10 page portfolio for a business with basically no guidance besides it has to be APA format! So thank you thank you!!
Thank you for your help. I have never prepared any papers with these headings before, and I am required to use them in a random non-composition course. This helped out so much! Thank you!
I have to thank you! I would have failed my class. I am an old fart that has decided to jump in head first. I am learning how to write my paper thanks to you. The instructions said to write it in an APA format. I had no idea what that meant. You are a God send. I am grateful.
Great video! I am currently using 7th edition APA for my college course. This video was very helpful! Thank you so much! Great work, you explained this so perfectly with every detail!
Hi Chelsea, thank you so much for all your great videos about papers specially about APA tutorials. Keep up the good work! Stay safe and healthy always Chelsea!😊
Thank you Chelsea! I was having issues trying to figure out the headings and subheadings should look on my situation analysis for my MBA marketing class. As always, you've helped me format another paper!
Thanks so much, I'm doing grad school right now and I'm trying to write my research papers. I've been on a few year hiatus, so this really helped me out.
Thank you so much! I don't understand why I was always taught how to use an MLA format, when all I have been using since college, is APA format. My paper has been so intimidating because I am unfamiliar with all the rules, especially the headings/subheadings, and you helped break this down! Thank you again for making this helpful video.
As an international student, who was taught only MLA, I now need to learn APA to write my papers. Thank you so much. Just a question, could you please explain how to write a research proposal?
Great, I have many videos on the different formatting principles of APA 7th edition. I will be making a video about research proposals sometime in the near future! Best of luck to you while you learn APA :)
Thanks Chelsea for your clear and helpful explanation. I still have a question, in APA style can I number heading and sub-heading or only allow text? Thanks again.
Great video! Sometimes I get confused with headings and subheadings. If I am writing an essay about ADHD, should the subtopic "symptoms" be in level 2 and the each symptom of ADHD (inattentiveness, impulsivity, and hyperactivity) in level 3?
May you please describe of how to do the left flush style for the subheadings? Or is it the same way as the left side paragraph? But other than that thank you so much for this video! I needed this dearly 🥰
Hi Chelsea, really awesome videos you're doing, your effort is definitely appreciated! If you have the time to assist, I am busy finalizing my paper and I'm stuck not knowing whether I should capitalize the word "Up" (Communicating Up - Level 2 section heading) or not. My research indicates that because it is classified as a minor word (4 letters or less), I am of the opinion that it shouldn't be capitalized. However, I have seen it capitalized before, which is confusing me at the moment. Any assistance in this regard would be amazing! Thank you.
This is so helpful for me, thanks to your video's I have finally started to do my assignment. But still I have some doubts, see under level 2 heading if I want to write down some bulleted sentences. For example, my paper is on Public International Law. Now I have written down the sub heading as ''Sources of International law.'' But I have to write down those sources one by one with a brief explanation. How can I write them down? Is it supposed to be under another level heading?
Thank you so much, I have a question. Does APA allow numerals prefixed before headings and subheadings, especially in thesis? For example, if I am in chapter 3 and level 2 heading, Can I just write 3.2. Level Two Heading?
Hi there! Great questions and unfortunately, no APA does not want section headings numbered in any way. All section headings should be signified as written word that briefly describes the section
hi, i am doing my masters dissertation in apa 7th ed, do i need to start a new page for every section, eg. should introduction, method results etc. all start on a new page? and the introduction for a dissertation should be written as 'introduction' heading?
I haven't done APA before. However, my thesis is supposed to be in this style. Only technical editing was done which clearly shows the levels but with numbering according to the text. However my style in the text, though easy to follow is definitely not APA. To repeat, my levels are clear and there are intext numbering. Please advise.
My professor just want table of contract damages and a disscution of the pros and cons from judges prospective and those involved in case. So should I just start with table
Hi there, it's hard to say since I don't have all the information. But from what I know, I'd say that I would include an introduction about contract damages/ what your table represents. Then perhaps include the table, followed by the pros and cons. If you need help building/formatting a table, here is a video that might help you. Good luck! th-cam.com/video/35zjCOLsMu8/w-d-xo.html

Hands down the best tutorial of APA (7) level headings I have ever seen. I'm going to share it with my professor to help other students. Thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you so much! It was very informative! God Blessings to you!
Thank you!! I appreciate your support of this channel :)
Love these videos. What is the best way to learn the basics or practical aspects of formatting?
Thanks Chelsea for your clear and helpful explanation. I still have a question, in APA style can I number heading and sub-heading or only allow text? Thanks again.
I would not recommend numbering them. If they are formatted correctly, the number is implied! Good luck to you! :)
Thanku so much for making detailed explanation
Great help, thanks for posting
You are a lifesaver
I have a 10 page policy paper due that I believe just has a set of headings. After I have centered the headings, where do I start between each one?
Great video! Sometimes I get confused with headings and subheadings. If I am writing an essay about ADHD, should the subtopic "symptoms" be in level 2 and the each symptom of ADHD (inattentiveness, impulsivity, and hyperactivity) in level 3?
This was posted on my birthday :)
lol! Love when little coincidences like that happen :)
Do you have a video on outlines in APA? So many students don’t know how to do an outline.
May you please describe of how to do the left flush style for the subheadings? Or is it the same way as the left side paragraph? But other than that thank you so much for this video! I needed this dearly 🥰
Please guide if we have to write chapters names on the top like Literature Review etc..Will this be include in level one heading?
Thanks for the information!
Thank you so much that was super helpful.
Great! Thank you so much for watching and supporting this channel. Happy paper writing to you!

thanks for this. How long can the level 1 heading be?
Please can you demonstrate practically how to do the level 4 heading without the text becoming part of the level heading. Thanks
Your awesome!
Dear Chellsea, dear all,
Do I need to number headings (sections) in APA style? Because I don't find it in your tutorials.
Many thanks in advance.
Thanks Chelsea. I like your name. Thanks for your amazing videos
Mam good video.Should the heading be in capslock or not
Thank you so much!

The word "and" is not a preposition. It is a conjunction. It still does not require capitalization in titles, but I felt the need to clarify.
