I am a senior citizen who recently went back to school in January of this year. So much has changed since I attended school. Smart Student Chelsea has helped me to understand how to cite. I was so frustrated in the beginning of this Spring semester, because I could not understand how to cite. Thank you so much Chelsea for your help. I will keep watching and listening, until I graduate in 2024. Blessings!

I know you made this video three years ago, but this video and others have saved my ass where I'm just having to learn APA on the fly after using MLA and Chicago style citations for my entire academic career up to this point. Thank you very much for a straight forward tutorial that actually shows me examples of what it is I am supposed to do, rather than only just showing me what not to do.

I just wanted to say thank you for posting this. I have been putting off learning APA standard because on paper, it all looks jumbled and more than my brain wants to process on top of my other class assignments. But it is a requirement to learn for my online class, so I went searching YT for someone to explain this to me in layman's terms. Thank God I found you.

Some researchers (Côté& Miners, 2006; Lam & Kirby, 2002) have theorized that emotional intelligence influences the relationship between sportsmanship behavior and job performance.
    or
On the other hand, research examining the potential relationship between sportsmanship behavior and performance at the organizational level has also produced contradictory findings P. M. Podsakoff et al., (2000) providing only partial support for the existence of this relationship.

Anyway, I got it totally wrong, at least with the third source the et al., probably saved me somewhat..... But, this is the first time I have experienced this. It's not something that every occurred to me as a potential issue before.

Hello Chelsea. I have some doubts regarding the References.
    1. In some of the References entries I see the Title is shown in Italics, and Source in normal text, whereas in some of them (in the same Reference list)I see the Title shown in normal text, but the Source in Italics. Why is it like that? Which approach should we follow? Is it okay not to mention the Source if we are not sure about it? Many times (especially while referencing articles on the web) - there is no source mentioned. Please help remove this confusion.
    2. In some of the References entries, I see the page/para/slide numbers and timelines (in case of a video) are mentioned, but in many cases they are not mentioned. When to mention them and when not to mention them in the References? Also, when to mention them and when not to mention them in the in-text citations?
    3. When do we need to mention the Title within quotation marks?
