Find and Fix Explained | Leakage Reduction Programme | Uisce Éireann

Water flows from treatment plants and reservoirs through a complex network of pipes before it reaches our homes and businesses. Many pipes in our cities, towns and villages are old or damaged and will often burst or leak.
If these pipes burst overground in public areas, we send crews to fix them.
But an underground leak is harder to find! To do so we must measure how much water is being used in the area.
When water is unusually high, we send crews with special equipment to find the leak underground.
Finding and fixing these leaks means a more reliable water supply for customers.
