This is why I cant stand football. The faking of injuries is pathetic.
The problem is the rules.
If there were drastic consequences like being banned for a couple of months this would immediately stop. Same for dives. I find lack of fairness and sportsmanship to be far more disgusting than anything else.

I never was a fan of Bayern Munchen, but always liked Thomas Muller. Up to this clip. I 'd never thought he would ever drop the fake card, pretending to be hit in the face hard, just after he attacked the other player hard, trying to hold him. Dissapointing
Considering the wages most of the players are on they'd spend some of it to have decent acting lessons.

И если наказывать фальсификаторов за симуляию, то следует и в равной степени наказывать нарушителей, настаивающих на своей якобы невиновности.

They don't penalize the "victim" enough for this. Simulation is almost never called. In the NHL (ice hockey) it's a penalty that is given almost every time it happens (which is rare) decreasing diving/embellishment. Bring yellows back for players that pretend they took a headbutt and get rid of this crap.
There is plenty of “diving” in the NHL, everyone knows to sell calls a bit, they’re just a lot better at it and more subtle, whereas these guys are totally shameless. It’s less about the rules/penalties than it is the cultures of the sports. In football, diving needs to be more heavily shamed and the masculinity of the divers attacked.
