    A slightly different video for you today, no 3D printer required! I would like to make some pins from my failed 3D prints, what do you think? Any other cool pin ideas?

    How to make a pin:
    Step one: buy pins
    Step two: glue
    Step three: profit

    Starbond comes with a little red cap. It has a needle in it. If you put that on the applicator it’ll prevent clogging when you stick the bottle in a drawer and keep it fresh.

    You can use petroleum jelly to prevent super glue from setting up inside the bottle. I just dip the bottom of the lid cap in it and it keeps the moisture out for a couple weeks.

    I want to make tiny Tetris pins! The official ones are super expensive. They look real nice but are expensive. I could print some out and make them myself!

    For the CA Glue, after use, try putting a needle into a cork, blunt end first, then push that into the hole in the nozzle. The pin may come out of the cork when you try to remove it but grabbing it with pliers and pulling it out will keep your nozzle working for longer. Some bottles even come with a pin in the nozzle lid.

    I think you could use an old earring as the pin backing but you would have to sand the end into a point😁

    I would like to see how to create enamel pins, like the colorful metal ones seen in stores. most how-to videos for them are actually how to order them. you can glean parts of the process from the how it's made episode, but not super useful for home makers

    will hot glue work for sticking the pin on

    • @make.anything
      @make.anything  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hot glue might work but it is more likely to peel off of smooth metal surfaces like the pin backs. You might want to ensure that the glue wraps around the back of the pin a bit to help hold it in place
