Hinduism (rather Sanātana) has two dharshanas (schools of philosophies) - Āstika and Nāstika. Āstika dharshans believe in the authority of the Vedas, while Nāstika darshans don't. Both Buddhism and Jainism are a part of Nāstika dharshana. They are not separate from Sanātana.
