    A thanks man !!!! Now that is what I call a good video !!! Good work you kept it brief you understand we are people who are busy and your info is very clear and direct, I need people like you anddddddd it is not often when I say this to an American cauzzzzzz I mean let's be honest rightttttt to many yanks right but you are doing good I am going to subscribe to your channel finally someone who understands that you don't need more then 2 minutes to explain the workings of a simple magnetic relay !!!! Thumbs up sir ! Good job !!!!!

    will it work with pulse signal?

  • @weAreNotAloneHere

    So for it to work as a trigger does the trigger line need to have its neutral connected to the coms too?

    • @Electronzap
      @Electronzap  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The mechanical switch part is completely separate from the control and module power parts of the board. It can switch a load with the same power source as the module or have a completely different power source, but only connect one or the other.

      @@Electronzap Appreciate you taking the time to respond. This might be easier, so basically the issue I have is, the machine has a 5v lamp that is usually on, but at times it switches on and off automatically, I want that 5v lamp to trigger the relays switch/trigger. However there is only 1 line in on the modules trigger… and when I connect the one 5v wire off the lamp it does not trigger , but when I use the lamps neutral which I connect to the now shared COM , it works. I was abit confused as I don’t usually share two separate neutral lines. As the power to the module I use a 12v separate power source. All coming from the same machine, but from different circuits. Does that make sense and do you think that’s how it’s to be wired ?

    So can dc be connected in com port even though it's not mentioned

      Yeah you switch DC.

      @@Electronzap seems like so. Why haven't they mentioned on relay that it can control DC
      Quite weird

    I heard on forums they don't last long switching onand off, but that's got to be wrong cause otherwise no-one ever could build a relay computer, but u can can't you?

    • @Electronzap
      @Electronzap  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I watched some documentaries about relay computers, but I didn't study them much more than that. I think that all relay computers are just museum pieces now as transistors are probably better for computing than relays in every possible way. But vacuum tubes had a lot of their own problems, many apparently broke down more often than relays, so relays were competitive with them. Phone companies also used a lot of relays, so it may have been a lot easier for some people to find and know how to use relays than vacuum tubes.

      Don''t know that there is a part number, this is one of 2 sellers I bought these modules from on Amazon, which might show information you are looking for amzn.to/43oZyPR R REIFENG 6pcs/lot 1 Channel 12V Relay Module Board Shield with Optocoupler Isolation Support High/Low Level Trigger. @@katiekumcgil A lot of stuff seems to just be randomly massed produced in asia, with limited markings, and sold under multiple brand names. I used to try to have things that I recommended in my video, but I was working so much that by the time I made the videos, the product wasn't even sold anymore or had changed significantly. That's good stuff for me to keep in mind while I make my material, so thanks for the comment.

    I didn’t think it was a very excellent demonstration,, You talk way too fast,,,,,,, And you never explained what was positive what was negative,,,, So I have no idea what wires were wearing and what I’m all confused
