That is the beauty about a language. No matter how many classes you attend, you can never really learn how to speak and understand and effectively communicate and socialize through that language unless you expose urself to an environment where there is an abundance of speech in that language, and for a long enough a period.
Literature and exposure are not to be ignored, they are crucial.
      In my case,
Doraemon and other cartoons did of course play a great role in developing my spoken hindi, but it was mostly coz my father was a military officer so he got a lot of postings in various parts of the country, so I was exposed to so many languages, that eventually I learnt Hindi too!

@Truth Speaker they want their language should be the main language of india but i don't think that's possible.not every language can be learnt by us.they think hindi will overshadow their language which is incorrect i guess.north indians speak hindi alongwith their state languages which is normal.hindi language is just for connecting people not for harming any language or culture.one main reason is politics too.u might have noticed central political parties don't win there.the regional parties raise the communal sentiments among the people that the north Indians want to ruin our culture and languages so it's impossible for the central parties to win there.also a large gap between people of north and south is created.they don't care if the central parties have south indians as prominent leaders in their party.so the matter is very complex.we just need to see unity in diversity and respect their way of thinking too.peace is what matters

This video is just lovely! But there is one thing one must always remember.
One does not need to know Hindi to prove that they are Indian. It's okay not to know Hindi. You are still a beloved part of us! After all that is what India is actually all about! We are one, despite differing in languages, religion, culture, race, caste, creed, etc. While it might sound funny, it is actually true, that we as Indians *SEEM* divided by culture, language, religion and various other differences, but we are in fact actually *UNITED* by these same very differences as we are capable of living in Harmony!
Divided by MATERIAL differences, UNITED by SECULARISM!
