I love how Jeff Satur universally short circuits the bisexual community.
The awful thing about Porsche throwing up: in the book, it wasn’t because of the drugs, it’s because he thought he was about to be raped by some unknown person. It made him violently ill, and even though it was stopped in time he couldn’t hold it in after being sat up. Poor guy… In the book, the drug made his system freak out, but he was basically clearheaded, aware of what he wanted or didn’t want. But Porsche was also more or less physically incapable of defending himself against anything unwanted.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the lovely piano/violin version of the opening song. IT’S SO MOVING.

they definitely went out of their way to make it as "consensual" as it could be considering drugs were involved, they couldn't really drop the plot point of the drugging without affecting other things.
Porsche definitely knew who he was with, where, and what was happening and seemingly was more just loopy, where in the novel he's over the top horny and desperate for touch from someone anyone.
Ye, compared to the book this is soo much clearer and understandable. They had sex because Porsche convinced Kinn not because Kinn wanted to take advantage of the situation.
See Porsche is under the influence but even at his worst he pushed vegas off violently. With kinn he was provoking him, touching him. He had enough sense to reason about the kiss on the dock and how kinn likes him. He wasnt out of his senses there. He was making a lot of sense. Even more so than when he is sober at times.
Porsche was definitely under the influence, I'm not gonna dispute that, so consent is reaaally iffy. I'm just gonna say this, he did headbutt Vegas when he tried to force himself on Porsche...

First of all, you freaking out over how gorgeous Jeff is?? So valid. He is a singer yes (you know the song that played when Kinn and Porsche first kissed? Yeah, that divine voice is his) and I've loved him since Ingredients The Series (you should totally watch that btw, it's on TH-cam, it's super quick to watch. It's a show that you expect nothing from but that gives you everything) ❤️
I mentioned it before but I'll never get tired of you praising the cinematography and score and everything cuz yes!! They deserve so much recognition. I hope they get so many awards for this show.
The last part of the show was such a rollercoaster (i could barely react to it, my video is just me staring in shock for 5 mins hahahaha) and you're so right that there was so much more going on in the buildup than we may have noticed on the first watch. As far as sex scenes (and one as explicit as that) goes, this was simply top notch. The context was not great but like you, I'm holding my judgment until the show is over.

KimxPorschay ……..there is so much to this whole series that it is a lot they are trying to portray based off the novel. It’s very interesting how they are trying to get across what’s in the novel, but for tv (especially tv in Thailand).

This has become my favorite reaction channel in the past month! And, yes, I am also expecting the show to address the consent issues between Kinn and Porsche. So far the show has exceeded my expectations and tackled all the issues head on, so I think they will address the intoxication/non-consent patterns.
Porches has been drugs so he was struggling and was in pain so he want to released in Novel but in series it make as sweeter as possible for audience

The singer is Jeff Satur. An amazing singer. In show, he is Kinn’s brother.
Finally a bit of adult sexuality in a drama: comments about what counts for men, girls and boys, that juicy bit the Porsche grabbed a hold of and sounded as if he might be a bit disappointed it was “asleep.” Other aspects of the drama may be over the top (way over the top) but comments (and crotch grabs) like this one are like real life, baby!
The novel (well at least the parts i read) made it so much worse then the show, porche was pretty much homofobic and full on SA-ed by kinn, which here (well it's rocky to say since be was under the influence both times) he was more comfortable with it and seems that he is actually attracted to kinn as well, also he isn't homofobic in the show

When I saw ur reaction, I realized how it would've been for someone who had no idea about Jeff being Kim and seeing him for the first time on screen and your reaction is the best I've seen so far to that reveal. I often comeback just watch you go "WHAT??!!" over Wik being Kim and being floored by how goodlooking Jeff is.
tbh...I already knew the role Jeff was gonna play when I started watching...so the way they first showed Kim in ep 3 with only his back, then introduced him as Wik and then revealed him as Kim didn't really have much of an effect on me. In fact I was impatient cuz they didn't show Jeff's face in ep 3. Now I kinda wish I had ur experience of only finding it out while watching....*sigh*

I was scared that they could that scene because in the novel it is very different, it could be said that within the series there is a little more "consent", but the fact that this scene is the door to the whole story between them!! I'm excited
I finally saw Kim (did you see his beautiful face). I like how the series played that drugged Porsche scene, same circumstances as the novel but I love how they made Porsche initiate.

Honestly, a year in so I'm not worried about spoiling anything, but every time Vegas tries to drive a wedge between the two of them, he actually brings them closer. And both times he tries to take advantage of Porsche when he's under the influence, Porsche clearly rejects him while actively welcoming Kinn, so it's not like he's so out of it he can't give some form of consent even if that consent is conditional.
I really like your channel and haven't seen all of your content yet, but watching this series is frustrating because there are so many parts left out which explains more of what's going on. Very choppy and incomplete. I thought this was the uncut version. Luckily I had the opportunity to see it mostly together except for intimate scenes. Evidently these platforms have no difficulty showing violence and cruelty, but sex is a nono. Sorry for the rant, but I get so frustrated with policies that make no sense. I do enjoy your knowledge and enthusiasm.

Oh there is ABSOLUTELY a weird competitive dynamic between Kinn and Vegas that is much more about them than it is about Porsche. They have a super specific vibe going on and I'm dying to know the backstory.
