Jungkook invested weeks and months perfecting the choreography, and he traveled with dancers etc . Usher, had one day of from his Las Vegas residency and learned this dance in just one/two days. Usher is 45 years and still killed it! The collaboration is memorable experience for both artists, specially JK since he’s a big fan 🦋

Lets be real. Jungkook is an actual trained dancer for YEARS. Also this is his song, he’ll always give his all on choreography. Usher didn’t have weeks to months to perfect the choreo and he isn’t as young. He did his thing as best he could and added his own style. Usher was also using his own style, which was the point. When he danced with MJ, the same thing was done. He also had to learn the steps in one day. He's been performing in Vegas for a year now. Most 45 yrs can't do 1/4 of what Usher did.

He was being smooth and just because he doesn't do too much does not mean the effort was not put in. Usher came with his own flavour. You don't always need to go crazy to prove that you got it and that's what Usher was doing cause he still kept up with the dancers and JK, he just added his own style to it which was showing how Usher added his own flavour when it came to the audio as well. Don't underestimate Usher's flow please because homeboy was just rollerblading in Vegas and keeping up with the beat

Nah I'm sorry there were a bit of parts where Usher did miss a few beats, and looked like he was slightly lagging behind. If you compare how Jungkook danced in this video vs how he USUALLY performs SNTY, Jungkook defentily didn't put his full energy in it, and defentily held himself back a little bit, because usually Jungkook performs a lot harder, and faster with this song. But in this video you can clearly tell that he slowed himself down so that it wouldn't look like Usher wasn't falling too far behind. Y'all be so blinded by Nostalgia, I grew up with Usher, my entire family loves Usher, I showed them this video and they agreed with me. You can not tell me you watched this entire video and didn't notice how Usher missed some of the beats bro. Like let's be real for a second, Some people be so blinded by nostalgia that it make y'all never want to admit when someone is a bit rusty. Usher still did amazing don't get me wrong, but if he performed this back then, he defentily would've had the same energy and been hitting the same moves that Jungkook was hitting. It's okay to admit when someone is getting older guys, it's just apart of life unfortuantely.

Tbh I think it would look more weird if they danced exactly the same 😂 like this is the “the usher remix” so he’s going to do his own thing. They have their own style of dancing. Jungkook sharp and energetic and usher smooth & fluid. At first to me it did look like he was a little behind but that’s just because I’ve been used to watching jungkook perform this multiple times with his dancers and they are quite in sync. Plus the choreo is hard hitting and precise. I noticed JK didn’t go as hard as he usually does. But usher added his own spin on it and it was great. Overall great remix! Happy for JK because i know usher is one of his idols.

I understand that you guys are very young and not really understanding how iconic this remix is.Usher is 45 years old and he is doing Usher not Jungkook. This video portrays the older generation mixing with the newer generation. I think the guy with the long braids understands it a little better. Usher just finished a residency in Vegas and he is now preparing for his performance at the Superbowl. Even though I'm basically old school by age I also resonant with my JK because he is extraordinary and also Usher because he is Usher Raymond an Icon.I You have to respect the difference in their dancing styles which was highlighted in this remix. They both brought the sauce.

I mean you all ain't wrong Usher is getting older. I wouldn't say he lost or missed a step, his moves where tailored to him which still brought fire to the mv. But he ain't JK age of 26 that has that youthful flexibility.😂 JK and all of Kpop honestly studies and incorporates the moves that likes of MJ, Chris Brown, Usher and the other greats have created and left for the younger generation to pick up the mantel and keep alive. I feel like it was more a passing of the torch. If anyone came into this expectating Usher to still be looking like he did 30 years ago is delusional.

If you watch Usher's lives of him dancing (like complications of his best dance breaks), he's always been more smooth than hard hitting. Even if he went all out, it was smooth and groovy.
JK's dancing is more versatile and he has many different styles, esp because BTS's choreos have mostly been very challenging and super synchronized (esp in their earlier songs). Dancing with hard hitting power is one of JK'S best styles.

I don't understand why people are gatekeeping Jungkook's nicknames? All he did was shorten JK's name which is how 75% of nicknames are created. I agree it's usually JK, Jung Kook, Kookie, Mr International Playboy, Muscle Pig, Jungshook, Justin Seagull, Nochu, Bunny, Golden Maknae, Triple Threat, or one of 50 other nicknames ARMYS have already given him. But Jung is going too far? As long as they're being respectful and positive, I don't see why they can't give him a nickname if they want. And they WERE being positive and respectful. The only reason he "doesn't go by Jung" is bc ARMYS never started calling him that. If we had, then he'd be goin by that. But we picked JK instead. ARMYS give BTS members nicknames all the time. (Mochi, Tae, Jinnie, Joon, etc.) "Tae" as a nickname for Taehyung is literally the exact same thing he did with Jungkook's name. Unless 정 is inappropriate in Korean, then I don't understand the issue.

@@alis6259 Jung isn't going to far, it's just a little cringey because ARMYs & BTS don't call him Jung. V has been called Tae Tae by BTS & ARMY many times so it isn't weird when it's said so I don't think that was a good example. The best example I can think of is if a TH-cam reactor called SUGA "Yoon" instead of "Yoon-gi". In that scenario, it's fine if the reactor wants to continue to call him Yoon, however, if they say Yoon in the presence of an ARMY, they would most likely be confused or feel cringe when they hear it because it's not an ARMY nickname & his bros don't shorten his name when talking to him or about him.

Im not sure if age is the factor, i think its more that Usher is used to dancing solo where JK is more used to dancing with a group. JK is used to syncing his movememts with others and Usher has never really done that.

It’s called dance styles. He didn’t lose a step . They both our dancing the same choreography but in THEIR dance styles. Usher is dancing his way with the choreography which is smooth…and JK is dancing in boy band perfection style…and he (usher)has been dropping music left and right and been going on tour and doing performances 😅

I thought the same thing about usher but I didn’t know if it was because he was off, if he just wasn’t as synced as the rest because they have done this together 20 million times as these have been jk’s dancers for the all of golden, or if that was just ushers interpretation of the dance

Regarding Usher's dancing - Here's a thought. He's wearing sunglasses. I've learned from experience that you can only move so fast (spins, turns, head bouncin', etc) without sending your glasses flying across the room!

Guys, Usher is not that old, he's only 46! A part of vibe of the video is highlighting Usher doing his own thing, no one needs to teach him how to dance. Usher is JKs honored guest, so he's not expected to follow a choreography. If he wanted to of course he could do what the dancers are doing! Are you out of your mind, kid?! There are just Some things that you youngbloods will never understand 😉

If you dance, you'd know how difficult their moves are. Usher has his own unique style and JK his own uniqueness. I wouldn't want Usher to completely copy JK which I think he's able If wanted to. This a remix and a smooth blend of both their styles. I wouldn't want JK to dance like Usher and vice versa. They both are incredible dancers & singers. Usher didn't dance "old" at all.

  • @Shawdiee
    @Shawdiee 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

I saw from another video that people said Usher's dancing is natural vs Jungkook being more "manufactured" (not my words) BUT I think the difference (aside from slight cultural differences of the industry's expectations) is that Usher's made his name. He 100000% can hit the moves the way Jungkook did if he really wanted to but he doesn't need to, and there's no way Jungkook's gonna ask that of him, either, because in terms of his dancing in general, he did a good job. Jungkook's name is big, too, but he's in the prime of his career. On top of that, the dance style then (90's and early 2000's) vs now is different, and JK's target audience is going to expect him to dance as sharp and criticize him if he didn't. NA audience, especially Usher's target audience, won't expect something like that from Usher nor criticize him if he were to go 80%. I mean, look at Big Bang. I think it was during their Weekly Idol's Random Play Dance where they explained they no longer really "need" to do choreo for certain songs because when they perform it, they go to the audience, or they're in tour mode, etc. Lastly, I think Jungkook's style of dancing is more inclined for this kind of sharpness whereas Usher's style is different.

I think he did well. I wasn't expecting him to dance like he did years ago - he's 46 - about half a century. When you get older, it's wise to take it easier. Everybody can't be like Tina Turner. We would say, "Alright now. You can dance like that if you want to. If you get stuck on the floor don't ask me to help you. Yo a-s ain't gone be able to get out the bed in the morning"

One thing that BTS always do with collabs is that they give them time and space to shine in their own way regardless who they are, whether they are huge artist or not.
This remix is not a competition and this is also a performance video, not the official mv so both of them are having fun together. They even filmed 2 tiktok dance challenge together. One for this song and another one for Usher's song, yeah!.

7:51 Wow, I have been looking for reactors to discuss this. It is noticeable that their dance is different on purpose. Usher is groovy while Jungkook is technical. I think Usher just putting his style into it so it is not because he is old or slow. But tbh it does bother me a bit when JK and Usher dance with the dancers because it looks like Usher is not harmonized with JK and the dancers. But when it is just the two of them in the end, it looks cool for them to show their own different styles.

You don’t know much about dance & you obviously haven’t seen the rehearsal footage or what JK said about Usher’s part in the group dance, which was basically when a performer is one of a kind with a style all their own you give the basics steps and just enjoy when they elevate it. I love JK & all of BTS, they are great dancers but, with the exception of Jimin who came in with formal training & a personal style, they worked hard to get as good as they are now. JK is developing his style as he becomes for confident but Usher is one of those magical dancers who was born with a style all his own. He has that extra something to you can’t learn that makes every move seem effortless, rhythmic and completely natural. Gene Kelly, Bob Fosse & Michael Jackson all had it and MJ saw it in Usher when he first came on the screen. Yes he’s had training but he doesn’t need it anymore than Gene Kelly did, the training just true artists in dance more tools to play with. JK has grown tremendously in this video but you can still see the choreography running through his head, it’s in the eyes. Usher just is, he moves organically with the music and becomes part of it. He’s not slower, he’s dancing like Usher which is what JK wanted him to do. The fact that JK managed to keep up with him on their solo dance break (and I don’t mean speed) says everything about how far JK had come. Usher is pure talent & individuality in this video and I love for JK the respect Usher has for him and it’s clear that JK is thrilled to be dancing with his hero. It’s like watching a torch passing to see their dance break but if this was a dance competition being judged by those who know dance, Usher wins, not that he cares about that. Which is another reason it’s so great to see him doing what he does best again, he does it for love not accolades.
