I appreciate the option of picking my own music. I prefer to listen to chill music when I'm watching something beautiful and psychedelic, not the frenetic electronic music which is often paired with these beautiful visuals.
Me and my friend... Molly... Are siting her watching this now... She is really thankful for this video right now. Her and I are also listening to Alan Watts lectures... This video has really brought our experience with each other together to a whole new level. She and I both thank you.
This is truly incredible that humans are able to create this type of graphical display. It really grabs you and pulls your mind into a emotional and physiological-evoking wonder and bliss. Makes me wonder what the future will bring. Thank you for the incredible display of human creativity. Cheers :-)
Humans design many of them, but most of them evolve "genetically" on their own... the program procedurally "breeds" elements from different sheep into new sheep, based on which sheep are upvoted or downvoted by the users.
1: download Electric Sheep, make it your screen saver. (set the frame-rate low for extra mellow grooviness) 2: locate mpeg folder in Electric Sheep program folder, add it to a library (in Win7) or bookmark its location or make shortcut or whatever... don't move the folder, or they'll be taken out of the "gene pool." 3: as the individual sheep are collected and/or "evolve," you can copy individual mpegs from that folder for your own use in your favorite video editor (they may need conversion to mix properly, I've found windows movie maker can make some nice hi-res WMAs out of them, the VLC player also converts them, but it's a bit more complicated that way) ...each one is exactly five seconds long, but that's negotiable in post production... 4:The filename of each sheep mpeg is comprised of four five-digit numbers: the first number is the generation (this number may be the same for all of them, mine's 00244)- The second number is the individual identifier of that particular mpeg- the third number is the identifier of the STARTING mpeg- the fourth number is the identifier of the ENDING mpeg- ... if the three identifier numbers are all the same, the sheep is "stable" and will seamlessly loop if repeated. you can use the "unstable" sheep to connect different loops, but it requires a bit of digging through the folder to find the specific mpeg to connect two specific loops. Look for the identifying number of your looping sheep as the THIRD number in the connector's filename, and the fourth number in that connecting sheep will be identifier of the loop it changes into. In this way, you can customize your own sequences, and use them in your videos (with attribution of course.) 5: ?????? 6: PROFIT!
There are some really incredible patterns going on in this one. I don't know how long I sat through so far, perhaps over 30 minutes, but when I have the time I'd certainly like to watch through. Some really inspiring shapes.
I set my tele from 2d to 3d conversion and my head exploded. Holy shit, what a video. Where was this 25 years ago, when I really could have "Used" it. Absolutely awesome. If your tele has the capacity to render 2d to 3d, try it. Then post your experience. Prop's to the creator's!
Watching this video to the album Mr. Beast by Mogwai is an experience that should be enjoyed by everybody. Seriously I've blown the minds of my friends by doing this everytime. I play the album and the video if you can get the timing right, get ready to trip balls
If anyone was interested in finding the Blu-Ray quality iso that's listed in the notes but realized, like I did, that the link is now dead, here's the magnet link from a cache of that page. Perfect background projected on the wall for my next party! Thanks! I will definitely be downloading Electric Sheep for my PC. I forgot I already got it for Android a while back.
Cause you have to listen to the music of your heart. The sound of the universe in your head ... Or simply the beautiful music you would like to listen to...
I work Apophysis 2.09 and I found the animations in here to be breathtaking! I'm only half way through because I used Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother for background music. Wow! Now I need to find some animation software to try this but with my wee little computer, it would take eons to render.
I've watched my share of visualizations and fractal films, and although there are a lot of very impressive and beautiful ones out there, this one - by a considerable margin - seems to truly go beyond just about all of them! ahahahaha! I write this after pausing it at 16:47, but I expect I will continue to be still stunned when I resume! This is transcendent!
more like the face of harry potter look alike monster sucking up a soulike object? .. when you see the whole picture [zoom out] it puts alot into perspective.
+titancrusher1 What's really going on is that the video is compressed a small amount to save on a massive amount of space. The blurs you see from watching these images are the computer's attempts to save as much hard-disk space as possible by making a 'similar copy' of the original, so it can compress it more easily. If the poster used a lossless video, you might expect to see a file size maybe over 20 times as large. This video is likely many gigabytes already, so an uncompressed video would be stupidly large.
No Simon. You messed it up. The original video IS in 1080p, but you rendered this in too low a bitrate and the quality has suffered dramatically because of it. TH-cam compresses videos automatically, but you clearly didn't have your settings right because I HAVE the original video you used for this. There is a 17GB mkv and a 22GB iso you can download and the quality is absolutely fantastic compared to this.
I appreciate the option of picking my own music. I prefer to listen to chill music when I'm watching something beautiful and psychedelic, not the frenetic electronic music which is often paired with these beautiful visuals.
TH-cam has been emailing this to me and recommending it in "what to watch" for a few months now. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW TH-cam?! I'M WATCHING IT!
Fringe Wizard you can play your favourite sounds separately ;)
lmao but why do you search videos on fractals. I typed in fractal films
eden messi I never have. I think it recommended this because I watched some particle tests synchronized to music.
Mr. Vulcanator bbbn
they arent happy, they expect you to watch what they want you to watch.....
This is what life is, not the creation of fractals, but the exploration of them.
At last! An Electric Sheep video that doesn't make me want to chew on a spoon.
Me and my friend... Molly... Are siting her watching this now... She is really thankful for this video right now. Her and I are also listening to Alan Watts lectures... This video has really brought our experience with each other together to a whole new level. She and I both thank you.
On a Chromecast and a HD TV it's just DAYUM! Love Electric Sheep. Great program have it on my Fedora Linux system.
Like a looking through a lens at the universe. Simply beautiful.

Beautiful, creative, dazzling visuals. And thanks for not mucking them up with music that you enjoyed but I would probably hate. Very, very nice work.

This is more "kaleidoscopic" than fractal. Still really amazing.
This is extremely high quality psychedelic art.
Thanks. This is precisely what I needed. The internet is a wonderful place.
Superb. This alone justifies buying a video projector. Bit of Procul Harum and this and I can relive my teens.

It seems like the speed of the animation adjusts to the beat of whatever I have playing haha. Very cool.
Totally amaing. THE best psychelic visual on youtube.
Deepet gratitude to the creator and harer of such a fantastic piece of art. x.
this is the most amazing visual ever
Thank You Guys ! Great Job !
Love this for meditation. I have a hard time sleeping in this video sets my mind at ease and helps me get in a chill state of being.
Thanks for not putting some horrible EDM to this beautiful video. Very taste
Thank you - from the GrimGriz DLive Livestream with Lemon Laughter Soundtrack!
If all the epicness in the world was compiled into one TH-cam video, this would be it.
Красиво, слов нету ! Вот что значит богатая фантазия!!!
watching this while I play around with my synthesizer! very fun.
this is a very genuine effort by the creator. too good to put in words
The visual progression is simply awesome.
COOL, GREAT FOR BACKGROUNDS!
amazing bit of work flows and transforms beautifully
Amazing and beautiful, thanks for the journey outside of this time/space reality
I found it absolutely hypnotizing.
Very Nice. Meant for HD, not to mention 4K
Magnificent piece of work.
thank you, very much for the time you spent making this, i found some music that made this special to me and for that, i thank you.
Watching this video to the album Mr. Beast by Mogwai is an experience that should be enjoyed by everybody. Seriously I've blown the minds of my friends by doing this everytime. I play the album and the video if you can get the timing right, get ready to trip balls
Wonderful vision, wonderful art direction.
Deathly silent.
Love this screen saver, it's been on my machines ever since I first discovered it. Thanks for sharing :)
I am high out of my mind on lsd and this is crazy. Thank you!

It's weird how much I resonate with fractals, I look at it and I'm like, "yeah, definitely, I see where you're comin' from with that, very cool"
most beautiful thing i have seen in my life
I do this all the time when doing homework. THANKS A LOT
I like the no music thing. Nice One!
10:00 wow... that transition...
i shall call it planet acid :D
Absolutely fantastic!
Beautiful. This is going to be airing on my television very soon to a variety of music.
I work Apophysis 2.09 and I found the animations in here to be breathtaking! I'm only half way through because I used Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother for background music. Wow! Now I need to find some animation software to try this but with my wee little computer, it would take eons to render.
Listen to some "pretty lights" with this. A good decision. Thx for the visuals!
this is awesome! i use it as a visualizer for spotify, and it syncs up perfectly every time...atleast i think it does..
How do I do that?
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful!
Absolutely gorgeous, I'm listening to acid tunes and watching this, can't believe I typed this..
Absolutely rocking
Awesome. For me this goes well alongside the audio "FC Kahuna - Hayling"
I can not imagine how long this would take to upload.

Reminds me of the opening to Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color. Just lacks Tinker Bell.
no f---cking sh-t ;)
are you high
Great!! am I allowed to download it and use it in my videos?

Good stuff Simon. Thanks for this.
Amazing bros... ¡¡ thanks for share in CC ;)

Yipsidoodlester cool!!!
BAAAAAAA!
That is the Goat God. I've met him before whilst on a psychedelic trip. He's a chill dude
its not about what the video makes you feel, its how you feel before you watch the video
2:00:00- 1:27:51- 1:57:37 one of my favorites
Thanks! I needed that!
This is way better than the other ones I’ve seen. Wow.❤️

this is the coolest most beautiful images ive ever seen!!
Just about the most amazing thing I've ever seen. CCR's on...
This is already pretty good but it would make it awesome if you had an actual zoom in into all the different parts
Exactly what I was looking for, thank you
Thank You ! It's nice....
If 2001: A Space Odyssey had this stuff in the scene after Dave Bowman fell into the monolith, it would've been the ultimate trip.
for when it was made (2001) it WAS the ultimate trip...
joan gordon dude it was made in like 1969.
Sally Morem xxx
@@MrGoofySwitch 1968, actually. But '69 was even better, we actually put people on the Moon! ;-)
просмотрел все 2 часа, красиво! только чуть глаза не вытекли.
thank you... i owe you
Super awesome work guys! Thanks and MUCH appreciated
4 seconds from 1:17:13 to 1:17:17. Heart of this movie.
more like the face of harry potter look alike monster sucking up a soulike object? .. when you see the whole picture [zoom out] it puts alot into perspective.

thank you for this. thouroughly enjoyed. much love
SENSATIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
wow, dude... i put my own music even with out reading the description. lol
Nice work !!!! Love fractals ♡
work of art!
Thank you!!
This isn't real 1080p its just upscaled. I wish the Electric Sheep community would code it to properly render at 4k these days.
No, it's real 1080p. I rendered it myself, not through the screen saver. There is also a link to a very high quality mkv in the description.
+titancrusher1 What's really going on is that the video is compressed a small amount to save on a massive amount of space. The blurs you see from watching these images are the computer's attempts to save as much hard-disk space as possible by making a 'similar copy' of the original, so it can compress it more easily. +Simon Detheridge Tons of links in description but none leads to mkv download... Or which one of them does?
+titancrusher1 send us some $ and we'll make it happen
No Simon. You messed it up. The original video IS in 1080p, but you rendered this in too low a bitrate and the quality has suffered dramatically because of it. what song is playing on 1:18:15 ? And who are these people?
Amazing how dell polished this is,!
Is this available to use to accompany music to upload on youtube that is non commercial and not for profit as long as you are credited ?
Amazing!!
stunning
That's exactly why I made it. I can run the blu-ray version on my wall-mounted LED TV when nothing else is on. Works pretty well.
So friggin cool. TRIPPY! :D
OMG, I love this, I play this along with Moodyblues Days of Futures Passed, and it fits together soooooo good, it was fantastic
