Now I'm getting Content ID'd on the royalty-free soundtrack after using it legally licensed on all my Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Videos since 2009. AdRev for Rights Holder. I asked them to whitelist my whole HDCOLORS TH-cam channel. No response. The hypnotic background music is written and performed by Bjorn Lynne. The soundtrack songs in the original videos are "A Journey Within" and "Endless Oceans." In the 4K videos, the soundtrack song is "Tranquil Landscapes." This is royalty-free stock music lynnemusic.com/licensing/ specifically for TH-cam creators. That's kind of bogus to make Content ID claims to royalty-free music on an 8-year-old version of a 14-year-old video. I need to monetize these videos to qualify for my health insurance. I disputed the Content ID claim. Now all my earnings are going into escrow and I cannot see my own earnings numbers for this video. Originally, I got TH-cam subscriber revenue without showing ads on the videos. I made about $500/month in just TH-cam subscriber revenue without having to show ads. Eventually, my writing became more controversial over the years and TH-cam stopped recommending my channel in a big way on May 19, 2021 when I made a BIG MISTAKE with a hard drug reference in a video title. I uploaded a new kaleidoscope video that I made for a real licensed hypnotherapist for recovering addicts and stupidly chose to include the full proper name of a white powder stimulant drug in the video title referring to the Queen artist Freddie Mercury who sang the song. That was a commercial fiasco for me. That was a very painful self-inflicted STUPID MISTAKE by me. Recommendations to my channel automatically stopped right then at that moment I uploaded that video with that title including the hard drug reference. My videos are still very highly ranked in keyword searches but the traffic from TH-cam Recommendations went way down permanently after that. The TH-cam bots totally automatically disappeared my videos from TH-cam Recommendations with imprecise and imperfect overly-general AI logic that sees NO CONSTRUCTIVE CONTEXT for hard drug references. Even a video for recovering addicts of that drug. They mistakenly see that as promoting the drug. You cannot name the hard drug in the video title without your channel being disappeared by the TH-cam Recommendation bots. I immediately changed the name of the video but it was too late. I had to add video ads to make up for that. I purchased these from a separate account in 2016 when I needed some files for the record. I lost all my e-mail in 2012 due to a fatal system crash and my important data and backups being on an external RAID array that failed. The computer power supply surged and fried my motherboard and multiple hard drives. My whole system was toast. I had to get a new power supply and motherboard. A few non-RAID hard drives were spared. I wasn't able to recover the data on the lost RAID5 array. I eventually reformatted all those drives and changed them all to single drives. They are all obsolete now. Now I use SSDs. I still had my all my 2204x2204 fractal flame still images and my Kaleidoscope Program and Source Code to re-render my Splendor of Color Kaleidoscopes at different speeds with different frame-level visual effects in Photoshop. I am more careful about my backups now. I have lots of external backups now. These 2016 purchases don't show up in the first screenshot above from the Facebook log-in because I mistakenly used a different account. They didn't see the 2016 receipts when I responded to them initially for this most recent Content ID claim. The Purchases above in the first screenshot were from my Shockwave-Sound.com account when I log-in through Facebook. In 2016, I forgot that I had logged-in to Shockwave-Sound.com with my Facebook account to retrieve my electronic records, so I just repurchased the 2 songs from a brand new account just to have an electronic copy of the receipts to share during future copyright disputes. I smartly uploaded those to the cloud. I forgot all about the 2016 receipts this time when I logged in with my Facebook account and just re-purchased "Endless Oceans" with the Widest License and upgraded my previous 2009 Extended License for "A Journey Within" to Widest License from the Facebook log-in on 5-18-2023. The $49.95 Standard License is sufficient for monetized TH-cam videos, but since I've made so much money on these videos I decided to pay the maximum and get the Widest License just to be decent about it. These videos have earned over $30,000 in income for me on TH-cam since 2016 when I started monetizing my HDCOLORS TH-cam channel. This counts as a part-time job for me for government benefit purposes. This is gainful self-employment. I sold a few boxes of DVDs and Blu-rays for the Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Video Versions 1.0, 1.1. and 1.2 over the years since 2009. I finally stopped doing that and just went with TH-cam. My home mailbox gets broken into. I have to check my mail right away just so it doesn't get stolen over night. I have a locking mailbox. They just pry it open and bend the latch with sheer force. I have to check my mail as early as possible every day. The whole business of selling physical media is very labor and carbon intensive. I had test every disc BEFORE manually shrinkwrapping and sealing in a padded envelope. I had to print a 4x6 shipping label from Stamps.com and to drive to the post office every time somebody purchased a DVD about twice a week. Eventually, over many years, I sold several boxes of duplicated DVDs and a few boxes of duplicated Blu-ray discs over the years. Most people ordered the 720x480 Widescreen DVDs. They all had no idea what they were missing at that resolution. Nobody had HD Blu-ray players. Today, very few people have 4K Blu-ray players. I lost my whole Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Video Version 1.0 and 1.1. I lost my Masters and all my electronic records. I suffer from a lack of common sense. I had all my data in one system with no external backups. I had an external 5-drive Windows-based software RAID 5 array. Stupidly, all my backups and video files were on my RAID array and I didn't have any other backups. When the power supply surged in 2012 I lost almost everything. I lost all my POP3 e-mail and Outlook Personal Folders going years back. Now my e-mail only goes back to 2012 so I didn't have my 2009 receipts to show them. In 2012, I had to start from scratch but luckily I still had all the original fractal flame photos and my kaleidoscope program and source code although it was still 1920x1080 HD at that point because I hadn't figured out how to resize the kaleidoscope windows to 3840x2160 UltraHD yet. I had a lack of foresight. I wasn't even thinking about 4K when I made my original Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Video. In 2009 when I rendered the fractal flame images, I was using an MS-DOS-based CUDA-assisted fractal flame rendering program with super-high quality settings and I was lucky to be able to able to produce square images 2204x2204 pixels on each side, which is just larger than the diagonal on a 1920x1080 HD video screen. Each one of those fractal flame images was produced with about 2 minutes of CUDA-processing for each customized fractal flame formula. These are all high-resolution thumbnails produced very quickly relatively speaking to the fractal artist community. There is NOT a lot of iterative and super tiny repeating fractal detail in these fractal flame images because they have NOT been computed for days each. My 2009 MS-DOS CUDA-based flame-rendering sofware could NOT do that at the time. I updated my Kaleidoscope Program to do 4K and used CUDA-enabled Chaotica 2.0 to render the fractal flame images for the 4K fractal flame kaleidoscope videos. I let those fractal images render for days.

I found your beautiful Kaleidoscope Video looking for something that might calm & sooth my elderly Mother that is in a rest home horribly suffering with alzheimers. Most of the patients have slipped so far away that they no longer have any interest in tv or the mental attention to follow a movie. Night time can be very stressful so I thought your beautiful video might be something that she might watch with all the beautiful changing colors and gentle music. I talked with a therapist and she totally agreed except she was concerned that the patterns changing so quickly could possibly be disorienting & people with seizure disorders could even trigger one - - - however if this was just slower it would be better & much more soothing & relaxing and would probably not create this problem. I just wanted to share this as possibly you might have a way to slow the video down - - I know I would be the first one to buy one for my mother & for 2 other nursing homes. Thanks so much !!
Hmm. How slow do you want it? This one is 30 seconds for a full rotation of the fractal flame image. Would 45 seconds still be too fast? Should it go really slow at 60 seconds, or twice as slow? I could probably make a slower one and send you the disc.

Kathy Venable Just wanted to give you an update. I'm still working on your slowed-down kaleidoscope. Since the original kaleidoscope is 30 seconds per rotation, and yours is going to be 60 seconds per rotation, that means the two hour video is going to use 120 images instead of 240. So I had to go through those 240 images and find the best 120 through a process of sorting while viewing them as kaleidoscopes. I wrote a little program that helps that. Once I found the best 120 images, then I had to pick out the best 30 or so to put first. Once I got the sequence of 120 images, I had to render the kaleidoscope, which was 219600 images. Once I got all those images rendered, then I had to automatically process each image so that the contrast would be optimized. There's not a lot of labor involved in that part, but the computer just sits there all day long for several days processing the images. Right now it's just passing 127,108. So that should be done tomorrow. After that, I'll load all the images into Adobe Premiere and render the video to a high definition Pre-Master. After I have that, then I'll make a Blu-ray image and a DVD image. The Blu-ray looks a lot better than the DVD, but I realize you're just interested in the DVD for now. So I should have that in a few days. At that point, I'll have you buy a regular DVD, but I'll ship you the slow version. All this CREATIVITY and all these DECISIONS and CHOICES resulted in a high quality end product of COMPUTATIONAL DERIVATIVE DIGITAL ART thanks to the original artists sharing their formulas. I will give you an introduction to really basic 2D computer animation. These are TRULY the BASICS. This is about the extent of Color Trips Animation LLC's technical capabilities. It took me a long time to write my kaleidoscope video software. I did this as a middle-aged STUDENT in a community college Flash class. I'm NOT a professional or even hobbyist programmer or a mathematician. This was my first real application. I had to learn everything just to do this project. I'm a severely mentally ill speculative science fiction fantasy writer with some useful computer skills. Primarily, I'm an ONLINE FICTION WRITER. I have several websites with my writings. I write about my delusions of super high technology and fantasies for a whole better world. I know enough about computers to keep my writings up and online. I had to do this in Adobe Flash to make the process comprehensible to me. I based it on an educational OPEN SOURCE Flash kaleidoscope example. I modified the example code into a video creation application. I had to take Flash classes at a local community college in 2008 and 2009 to learn how to do it. After that, the hard work is in getting the original input images to use. I was worried about copyrights. I found hundreds of OPEN SOURCE fractal flame formulas on educational websites. Fractal flame images are perfect because they can be scaled to any size and dimension and they have a lot of detail because the fractal pattern repeats into smaller and smaller details. Every part of the image gets sharper and clearer the longer it computes. In this video (v1.1), there is one fractal flame image every 30 seconds, so the 2 hour video required rendering thousands of fractal flame images with my color palettes then previewing them in Adobe Air as kaleidoscopes to sort them down into my favorite 240 images. I wrote a CHOOSER program in Flash. Basically, it displayed the images as animated rotating kaleidoscopes in REAL TIME with two big square buttons on the screen. There was a big green button that said, "YES" and a big red button that said, "NO". I went through a folder of thousands of images with my color palettes. It showed me each image as a rotating kaleidoscope and I selected YES to keep the image and move to the next image, or NO to discard the image and remove it from the folder into another. I went through all the images in the original folder previewing each image as a real time animated kaleidoscope selecting YES and NO. I went through thousands of images and previewed them as rotating kaleidoscopes until, through the process of elimination, I was left with my favorite 240 fractal flame images in that original folder. Most of the fractal flame images did NOT look great as kaleidoscopes. I only kept the most colorful and dramatic images that were personally VISUALLY REWARDING and PLEASING to me. For each fractal flame image, I had to create the color palettes. I created several dozen composite images in Adobe Photoshop with colorful objects from stock photos combined together. You name it. I used hot air balloons, colorful coral reefs, candles with flames, golden-colored brass oil lamps, etc. Just really colorful objects combined into composite images just to get the beautiful colors. Then I extracted optimized 256-color palettes and wrote a program to insert these dozens of color palettes into hundreds of flactal flame formulas. Then I rendered the all the hundreds of fractal flame formulas with all my dozens of color palettes applied to each fractal formula. That process took a long time. I ended up with something like 18,000 fractal flame images to choose from. Once you have the 240 final input images, the process is totally automated (except for the sequencing of the images) but it's really slow and it takes a lot of computer time and patience. My OPEN SOURCE kaleidoscope animation software is based on Adobe Flash and Air so it's super slow. It renders each frame of the kaleidoscope as a sequentially numbed uncompressed BMP image to the hard drive. When it's all done, there are over 200,000 sequentially numbered BMP kaleidoscope images in a folder. Some of those images are too bright or too dim to use unmodified. So I run an Adobe Photoshop batch operation on the whole folder to automatically maximize the contrast (Auto Contrast) of each and every one of those BMP kaleidoscope frames so every single frame is optimized to show the fullest range of colors. That takes a long time on hundreds of thousands of video frames. Then I import them as an image sequence into Adobe Premiere. I add the sound track and render the video. For for each second of video it has to render 30 uncompressed BMP kaleidoscope images to the hard drive. That process is very slow in Adobe Air, even when using a Solid State Drive (SSD). For a 2-hour video, that takes several days of rendering with my Adobe Air software and many hours of processing and rendering in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder. I am planning to do a 1 hour UltraHD (4K) Photo Kaleidsocope Video with 60 royalty-free stock photos. They have to be 300 dpi print versions of the photos resized to perfect squares 4406x4406 pixels on each side (the kaleidoscope is using a perfect circle in the middle of that square), so it's hard to find photos that are that high resolution and colorful and filled with variety and detail. I plan on licensing the photos from ShutterStock.com for $67/photo for unlimited commercial reuse without attribution. These royalty-free stock photos are normally available on multiple royalty-free photo sites and the same license applies to all the photos on the site. You can buy 25-packs of extended license photos from ShutterStock.com for around $1,675. I am going to buy two 25-packs for 50 photos, and combine that with a few Creative Commons photos for my 1 Hour Photo Kaleidoscope that I plan to release in 2023. It's kind of frustrating financially and creatively because the images are unrecognizable once they become kaleidoscopes, so the chances of anybody prosecuting me for copyright violations - even if I didn't buy the extended license - is miniscule. But TH-cam would likely NOT allow that without proof of ownership at least generally in spirit. So I'll have to make the financial investment just to satisfy TH-cam copyrighted content re-use policies. I'm sure the receipts for two 25-packs will be enough to satisfy TH-cam. They are very picky but generally cool with the EDUCATIONAL SPIRIT of it all on this channel. It's going to be beautiful but expensive for me. I think it will be a popular video once I upload it. It will be good for showing off 4K displays because of the colors, clarity and detail in the photographs. I'll have to license a royalty-free 1 hour soundtrack to go with that. That costs around $200. But these royalty-free licenses will enable me to legally and worry-free do anything commercially with the video that I want. I can even sell it on 4K Blu-ray without legal worries. So I can copyright it and monetize it without attribution. Most of my websites are EDUCATIONAL NONPROFITS. On my website, I have an INSTRUCTIONAL TUTORIAL explaining how to do all this. My kaleidoscope video software is OPEN SOURCE. I need to make some substantial income from these kaleidscope videos to qualify for my Medicaid. For the first several years, I did NOT monetize these videos on TH-cam. Then I monetized my HDCOLORS TH-cam channel without showing ads in the videos for many years. That gave me TH-cam subscriber revenues. Eventually, my TH-cam subscription revenues fell to such a low level, that I had to put ads on the videos to satisfy Washington State. I have 100% health insurance now because of these kaleidoscopes. So my HEALTH CARE, THERAPY and MEDICATIONS are FREE to me. I'm on a lot of psychiatric meds. It is going to take me a long time to find 60 really cool and trippy 300 dpi print quality photos. Right now, I only have 5 photos from 123rf.com. Most FREE Creative Commons photos are NOT high enough print quality resolution to maximize the detail in a 4K video kaleidsocope. I rendered a 5-minute test 4K video and it's beautiful, cool and trippy looking. However, I learned that some of the images I used don't have enough variety of detail and sharpness in all parts of the images and they come out blurry and out of focus at times when any part of the image is blurry. I want the kaleidoscopes to be sharp and clear everywhere in the photo at all times. It will be a fun kaleidoscope video to watch because they are real photos of real things and people will recognize the gist of the original objects in the photos if I do it with NOT too many mirrored wedges in the kaleidoscope. With lots of mirrored wedges, it's TOTALLY ABSTRACT. The original image as a whole is unrecognizable out of context, but the gist of it out of context is recognizable. So, say I use a picture of a cityscape at night. You'll be able to tell that it's a picture of a city at night, but you won't be able to recognize the individual original image as a whole. I just need to have proof of licensing so TH-cam will let me monetize it without complaining about copyrighted content re-use. I make about $800/month from my TH-cam channel these days, so I consider this an investment in my TH-cam kaleidoscope business paid for by about 4 months of my HDCOLORS TH-cam channel revenues. The video will be on TH-cam for years.

Most of the psychiatrists and therapists are set-up for Medicaid. With my Social Security Disability income, I don't qualify for Medicaid. The State of Washington Department of Social and Health Service has a health care program called Healthcare for Workers with Disabilities (DSHS HWD) which is a Medicaid-based supplemental to Medicare that covers everything Medicare does NOT for people like me who are working part-time or self-employed and earning a part-time income. Because of my TH-cam HDCOLORS channel kaleidoscope revenues, I qualify for this program.

I suffer from extremely low motivation. I have trouble motivating myself to brush my own teeth. It's a MAJOR EFFORT to do it for me. I'm losing teeth. I had to get my last molar on the upper left side of my mouth extracted and a dental implant inserted at the same time. Because my insurance doesn't cover oral surgery, the oral surgeon charged me $6500 for about two hour's worth of work including all follow-ups. That was just for the extraction and implant NOT including the crown that attaches to it. He knew I was poor. I just needed the ability to chew on the left side of my mouth. I paid for it with my father's life insurance money, which was exactly $6500 after him paying for his life insurance for his whole adult life. He was a poor diabetic on insulin that he had to pay for. Insulin should be FREE for EVERYBODY EVERYWHERE on Planet Earth.

2023-05-17 Thanks for the support over the years. Now I'm getting Content ID'd on the royalty-free soundtrack after using it legally licensed on all my Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Videos since 2009. AdRev for Rights Holder. I asked them to whitelist my whole HDCOLORS TH-cam channel. No response.
The hypnotic background music is written and performed by Bjorn Lynne. The soundtrack songs in the original videos are "A Journey Within" and "Endless Oceans." In the 4K videos, the soundtrack song is "Tranquil Landscapes."
This is royalty-free stock music lynnemusic.com/licensing/ specifically for TH-cam creators. That's kind of bogus to make Content ID claims to royalty-free music on an 8-year-old version of a 14-year-old video. I need to monetize these videos to qualify for my health insurance. I disputed the Content ID claim. Now all my earnings are going into escrow and I cannot see my own earnings numbers for this video. Now I have to wait for it to expire before getting paid.

It was my fault. One of the songs wasn't properly licensed through the correct website. I contacted Bjorn Lynne and he released the Content ID claims. I got all my licensing in order to his satisfaction. He's NOT going take down the videos. He's very cool. I showed him my HDCOLORS TH-cam channel. 2009 is when I purchased the song, "Endless Oceans" for my Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Videos. I didn't buy it from the right website which whitelists TH-cam channels at the time of purchase.
Over the years I have had many Content ID claims on "Endless Oceans." I have always disputed them with an explanation and a link the musicians web page. I had purchased the Extended License for "A Journey Within" from the correct website in 2009. I also purchased "Tranquil Landscapes" from the correct website in 2019 for the 4K fractal kaleidoscope video. I am very absent-minded. All this time I thought all these claims were bogus.
Now we're all going to talk about this for educational scientific critical discussion purposes without taking the videos down and without taking my websites down. I get to be totally open and transparent about my sins and my crimes. They are all MISTAKES. I'm a public servant. I'm performing a public service here.

It wasn't entirely my fault. I found this Shockwave-Sound.com receipt from 2016. These were Standard Licenses for monetized TH-cam videos for "Endless Oceans" and "A Journey Within". My Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Videos were all free without ads including even after I started monetizing my TH-cam channel in 2016. Originally, I got TH-cam subscriber revenue without showing ads on the videos. I made about $500/month in just TH-cam subscriber revenue without having to show ads.
Eventually, my writing became more controversial over the years and TH-cam stopped recommending my channel in a big way on May 19, 2021 when I made a BIG MISTAKE with a hard drug reference in a video title. I uploaded a new kaleidoscope video that I made for a real licensed hypnotherapist for recovering addicts and stupidly chose to include the full proper name of a white powder stimulant drug in the video title referring to the Queen artist Freddie Mercury who sang the song. That was a commercial fiasco for me. That was a very painful self-inflicted STUPID MISTAKE by me.
Recommendations to my channel automatically stopped right then at that moment I uploaded that video with that title including the hard drug reference. My videos are still very highly ranked in keyword searches but the traffic from TH-cam Recommendations went way down permanently after that. The TH-cam bots totally automatically disappeared my videos from TH-cam Recommendations with imprecise and imperfect overly-general AI logic that sees NO CONSTRUCTIVE CONTEXT for hard drug references. Even a video for recovering addicts of that drug. They mistakenly see that as promoting the drug.
You cannot name the hard drug in the video title without your channel being disappeared by the TH-cam Recommendation bots. I immediately changed the name of the video but it was too late. I had to add video ads to make up for that. I purchased these from a separate account in 2016 when I needed some files for the record. I lost all my e-mail in 2012 due to a fatal system crash and my important data and backups being on an external RAID array that failed.
The computer power supply surged and fried my motherboard and multiple hard drives. My whole system was toast. I had to get a new power supply and motherboard. A few non-RAID hard drives were spared. I wasn't able to recover the data on the lost RAID5 array. I eventually reformatted all those drives and changed them all to single drives. They are all obsolete now. Now I use SSDs. I still had my all my 2204x2204 fractal flame still images and my Kaleidoscope Program and Source Code to re-render my Splendor of Color Kaleidoscopes at different speeds with different frame-level visual effects in Photoshop. I am more careful about my backups now. I have lots of external backups now.
These 2016 purchases don't show up in the first screenshot above from the Facebook log-in because I mistakenly used a different account. They didn't see the 2016 receipts when I responded to them initially for this most recent Content ID claim. The Purchases above in the first screenshot were from my Shockwave-Sound.com account when I log-in through Facebook.
In 2016, I forgot that I had logged-in to Shockwave-Sound.com with my Facebook account to retrieve my electronic records, so I just repurchased the 2 songs from a brand new account just to have an electronic copy of the receipts to share during future copyright disputes. I smartly uploaded those to the cloud.
I forgot all about the 2016 receipts this time when I logged in with my Facebook account and just re-purchased "Endless Oceans" with the Widest License and upgraded my previous 2009 Extended License for "A Journey Within" to Widest License from the Facebook log-in on 5-18-2023. The $49.95 Standard License is sufficient for monetized TH-cam videos, but since I've made so much money on these videos I decided to pay the maximum and get the Widest License just to be decent about it.
These videos have earned over $30,000 in income for me on TH-cam since 2016 when I started monetizing my HDCOLORS TH-cam channel. This counts as a part-time job for me for government benefit purposes. This is gainful self-employment. I sold a few boxes of DVDs and Blu-rays for the Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Video Versions 1.0, 1.1. and 1.2 over the years since 2009. I finally stopped doing that and just went with TH-cam.
My home mailbox gets broken into. I have to check my mail right away just so it doesn't get stolen over night. I have a locking mailbox. They just pry it open and bend the latch with sheer force. I have to check my mail as early as possible every day. The whole business of selling physical media is very labor and carbon intensive.
I had test every disc BEFORE manually shrinkwrapping and sealing in a padded envelope. I had to print a 4x6 shipping label from Stamps.com and to drive to the post office every time somebody purchased a DVD about twice a week. Eventually, over many years, I sold several boxes of duplicated DVDs and a few boxes of duplicated Blu-ray discs over the years. Most people ordered the 720x480 Widescreen DVDs. They all had no idea what they were missing at that resolution. Nobody had HD Blu-ray players. Today, very few people have 4K Blu-ray players.
I lost my whole Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Video Version 1.0 and 1.1. I lost my Masters and all my electronic records. I suffer from a lack of common sense. I had all my data in one system with no external backups. I had an external 5-drive Windows-based software RAID 5 array. Stupidly, all my backups and video files were on my RAID array and I didn't have any other backups. When the power supply surged in 2012 I lost almost everything. I lost all my POP3 e-mail and Outlook Personal Folders going years back. Now my e-mail only goes back to 2012 so I didn't have my 2009 receipts to show them.
In 2012, I had to start from scratch but luckily I still had all the original fractal flame photos and my kaleidoscope program and source code although it was still 1920x1080 HD at that point because I hadn't figured out how to resize the kaleidoscope windows to 3840x2160 UltraHD yet. I had a lack of foresight. I wasn't even thinking about 4K when I made my original Splendor of Color Kaleidoscope Video.
In 2009 when I rendered the fractal flame images, I was using an MS-DOS-based CUDA-assisted fractal flame rendering program with super-high quality settings and I was lucky to be able to able to produce square images 2204x2204 pixels on each side, which is just larger than the diagonal on a 1920x1080 HD video screen. Each one of those fractal flame images was produced with about 2 minutes of CUDA-processing for each customized fractal flame formula.
These are all high-resolution thumbnails produced very quickly relatively speaking to the fractal artist community. There is NOT a lot of iterative and super tiny repeating fractal detail in these fractal flame images because they have NOT been computed for days each. My 2009 MS-DOS CUDA-based flame-rendering sofware could NOT do that at the time.
I updated my Kaleidoscope Program to do 4K and used CUDA-enabled Chaotica 2.0 to render the fractal flame images for the 4K fractal flame kaleidoscope videos. I let those fractal images render for days.

I found your beautiful Kaleidoscope Video looking for something that might calm & sooth my elderly Mother that is in a rest home horribly suffering with alzheimers. Most of the patients have slipped so far away that they no longer have any interest in tv or the mental attention to follow a movie. Night time can be very stressful so I thought your beautiful video might be something that she might watch with all the beautiful changing colors and gentle music. I talked with a therapist and she totally agreed except she was concerned that the patterns changing so quickly could possibly be disorienting & people with seizure disorders could even trigger one - - - however if this was just slower it would be better & much more soothing & relaxing and would probably not create this problem. I just wanted to share this as possibly you might have a way to slow the video down - - I know I would be the first one to buy one for my mother & for 2 other nursing homes. Thanks so much !!
Hmm. How slow do you want it? This one is 30 seconds for a full rotation of the fractal flame image. Would 45 seconds still be too fast? Should it go really slow at 60 seconds, or twice as slow? I could probably make a slower one and send you the disc.

I'm still working on your slowed-down kaleidoscope. Since the original kaleidoscope is 30 seconds per rotation, and yours is going to be 60 seconds per rotation, that means the two hour video is going to use 120 images instead of 240. So I had to go through those 240 images and find the best 120 through a process of sorting while viewing them as kaleidoscopes. I wrote a little program that helps that. Once I found the best 120 images, then I had to pick out the best 30 or so to put first. Once I got the sequence of 120 images, I had to render the kaleidoscope, which was 219600 images. Once I got all those images rendered, then I had to automatically process each image so that the contrast would be optimized. There's not a lot of labor involved in that part, but the computer just sits there all day long for several days processing the images. Right now it's just passing 127,108. So that should be done tomorrow. After that, I'll load all the images into Adobe Premiere and render the video to a high definition Pre-Master. After I have that, then I'll make a Blu-ray image and a DVD image. The Blu-ray looks a lot better than the DVD, but I realize you're just interested in the DVD for now. So I should have that in a few days.
At that point, I'll have you buy a regular DVD, but I'll ship you the slow version. If you think you'll want more, I'll add the new video to my inventory on Amazon so you can order it from there in the future.

If we all have a remotely digitally switchable connectome with nano lasers in our brain, then why don't the controllers just nano lase the amygdala neural networks to get rid of the sources of fighting, fear and hopelessness?
In this case, the scientists who have the mind control technology are ethical. So they set up their superintelligence to read people's minds without interfering with their cognition, except to prevent them from getting advanced nanotechnology (which is the mind control technology).
So they have the capability of interfering, but they do it only rarely. It's my theory that they are going to do it with everybody everywhere once everybody knows what's going on and that the technology is safe.
So their intention is to take control of the whole situation and prevent all the BAD stuff from happening eventually, and I'm part of that effort.

Thanks for asking about my kaleidoscope video creation process. This is COMPUTATIONAL DERIVATIVE DIGITAL ART with REAL HUMAN ADDED VALUE based on still images turned into an animated kaleidoscope video. I had to BE CREATIVE. I had to MAKE DECISIONS and CHOICES. All this CREATIVITY and all these DECISIONS and CHOICES resulted in a high quality end product of COMPUTATIONAL DERIVATIVE DIGITAL ART thanks to the original artists sharing their formulas. I will give you an introduction to really basic 2D computer animation. These are TRULY the BASICS. This is about the extent of Color Trips Animation LLC's technical capabilities.
It took me a long time to write my kaleidoscope video software. I did this as a middle-aged STUDENT in a community college Flash class. I'm NOT a professional or even hobbyist programmer or a mathematician. This was my first real application. I had to learn everything just to do this project. I'm a severely mentally ill speculative science fiction fantasy writer with some useful computer skills. Primarily, I'm an ONLINE FICTION WRITER. I have several websites with my writings. I write about my delusions of super high technology and fantasies for a whole better world. I know enough about computers to keep my writings up and online. I had to do this in Adobe Flash to make the process comprehensible to me. I based it on an educational OPEN SOURCE Flash kaleidoscope example. I modified the example code into a video creation application. I had to take Flash classes at a local community college in 2008 and 2009 to learn how to do it.
After that, the hard work is in getting the original input images to use. I was worried about copyrights. I found hundreds of OPEN SOURCE fractal flame formulas on educational websites. Fractal flame images are perfect because they can be scaled to any size and dimension and they have a lot of detail because the fractal pattern repeats into smaller and smaller details. Every part of the image gets sharper and clearer the longer it computes. In this video (v1.1), there is one fractal flame image every 30 seconds, so the 2 hour video required rendering thousands of fractal flame images with my color palettes then previewing them in Adobe Air as kaleidoscopes to sort them down into my favorite 240 images. I wrote a CHOOSER program in Flash. Basically, it displayed the images as animated rotating kaleidoscopes in REAL TIME with two big square buttons on the screen.
There was a big green button that said, "YES" and a big red button that said, "NO". I went through a folder of thousands of images with my color palettes. It showed me each image as a rotating kaleidoscope and I selected YES to keep the image and move to the next image, or NO to discard the image and remove it from the folder into another. I went through all the images in the original folder previewing each image as a real time animated kaleidoscope selecting YES and NO. I went through thousands of images and previewed them as rotating kaleidoscopes until, through the process of elimination, I was left with my favorite 240 fractal flame images in that original folder. Most of the fractal flame images did NOT look great as kaleidoscopes. I only kept the most colorful and dramatic images that were personally VISUALLY REWARDING and PLEASING to me.
For each fractal flame image, I had to create the color palettes. I created several dozen composite images in Adobe Photoshop with colorful objects from stock photos combined together. You name it. I used hot air balloons, colorful coral reefs, candles with flames, golden-colored brass oil lamps, etc. Just really colorful objects combined into composite images just to get the beautiful colors. Then I extracted optimized 256-color palettes and wrote a program to insert these dozens of color palettes into hundreds of flactal flame formulas. Then I rendered the all the hundreds of fractal flame formulas with all my dozens of color palettes applied to each fractal formula. That process took a long time. I ended up with something like 18,000 fractal flame images to choose from. Once you have the 240 final input images, the process is totally automated (except for the sequencing of the images) but it's really slow and it takes a lot of computer time and patience.
My OPEN SOURCE kaleidoscope animation software is based on Adobe Flash and Air so it's super slow. It renders each frame of the kaleidoscope as a sequentially numbed uncompressed BMP image to the hard drive. When it's all done, there are over 200,000 sequentially numbered BMP kaleidoscope images in a folder. Some of those images are too bright or too dim to use unmodified. So I run an Adobe Photoshop batch operation on the whole folder to automatically maximize the contrast (Auto Contrast) of each and every one of those BMP kaleidoscope frames so every single frame is optimized to show the fullest range of colors. That takes a long time on hundreds of thousands of video frames. Then I import them as an image sequence into Adobe Premiere. I add the sound track and render the video. For for each second of video it has to render 30 uncompressed BMP kaleidoscope images to the hard drive. That process is very slow in Adobe Air, even when using a Solid State Drive (SSD).
For a 2-hour video, that takes several days of rendering with my Adobe Air software and many hours of processing and rendering in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder.
I am planning to do a 1 hour UltraHD (4K) Photo Kaleidsocope Video with 60 royalty-free stock photos. They have to be 300 dpi print versions of the photos resized to perfect squares 4406x4406 pixels on each side (the kaleidoscope is using a perfect circle in the middle of that square), so it's hard to find photos that are that high resolution and colorful and filled with variety and detail. I plan on licensing the photos from ShutterStock.com for $67/photo for unlimited commercial reuse without attribution. These royalty-free stock photos are normally available on multiple royalty-free photo sites and the same license applies to all the photos on the site.
You can buy 25-packs of extended license photos from ShutterStock.com for around $1,675. I am going to buy two 25-packs for 50 photos, and combine that with a few Creative Commons photos for my 1 Hour Photo Kaleidoscope that I plan to release in 2023. It's kind of frustrating financially and creatively because the images are unrecognizable once they become kaleidoscopes, so the chances of anybody prosecuting me for copyright violations - even if I didn't buy the extended license - is miniscule. But TH-cam would likely NOT allow that without proof of ownership at least generally in spirit. So I'll have to make the financial investment just to satisfy TH-cam copyrighted content re-use policies. I'm sure the receipts for two 25-packs will be enough to satisfy TH-cam. They are very picky but generally cool with the EDUCATIONAL SPIRIT of it all on this channel.
It's going to be beautiful but expensive for me. I think it will be a popular video once I upload it. It will be good for showing off 4K displays because of the colors, clarity and detail in the photographs. I'll have to license a royalty-free 1 hour soundtrack to go with that. That costs around $200. But these royalty-free licenses will enable me to legally and worry-free do anything commercially with the video that I want. I can even sell it on 4K Blu-ray without legal worries. So I can copyright it and monetize it without attribution.
Most of my websites are EDUCATIONAL NONPROFITS. On my website, I have an INSTRUCTIONAL TUTORIAL explaining how to do all this. My kaleidoscope video software is OPEN SOURCE. I need to make some substantial income from these kaleidscope videos to qualify for my Medicaid. For the first several years, I did NOT monetize these videos on TH-cam. Then I monetized my HDCOLORS TH-cam channel without showing ads in the videos for many years. That gave me TH-cam subscriber revenues. Eventually, my TH-cam subscription revenues fell to such a low level, that I had to put ads on the videos to satisfy Washington State. I have 100% health insurance now because of these kaleidoscopes. So my HEALTH CARE, THERAPY and MEDICATIONS are FREE to me. I'm on a lot of psychiatric meds.
It is going to take me a long time to find 60 really cool and trippy 300 dpi print quality photos. Right now, I only have 5 photos from 123rf.com. Most FREE Creative Commons photos are NOT high enough print quality resolution to maximize the detail in a 4K video kaleidsocope. I rendered a 5-minute test 4K video and it's beautiful, cool and trippy looking. However, I learned that some of the images I used don't have enough variety of detail and sharpness in all parts of the images and they come out blurry and out of focus at times when any part of the image is blurry. I want the kaleidoscopes to be sharp and clear everywhere in the photo at all times.
It will be a fun kaleidoscope video to watch because they are real photos of real things and people will recognize the gist of the original objects in the photos if I do it with NOT too many mirrored wedges in the kaleidoscope. With lots of mirrored wedges, it's TOTALLY ABSTRACT. The original image as a whole is unrecognizable out of context, but the gist of it out of context is recognizable. So, say I use a picture of a cityscape at night. You'll be able to tell that it's a picture of a city at night, but you won't be able to recognize the individual original image as a whole.
I just need to have proof of licensing so TH-cam will let me monetize it without complaining about copyrighted content re-use. I make about $800/month from my TH-cam channel these days, so I consider this an investment in my TH-cam kaleidoscope business paid for by about 4 months of my HDCOLORS TH-cam channel revenues. The video will be on TH-cam for years.
