I just finished it and I have to say - I was impressed. While I can't enjoy things anymore, if I could - this game would be enjoyable. It somehow does and does not take itself seriously.
Alan Wake's corn field, Control's maze, and now the Foundation's trolley ride, I love how we've come to expect wacky musical experiences like this in Remedy games. I liked the dlc's conclusion, but nothing could top THIS!!! When the music kicks in, the cart starts moving and Jesse goes "After that camera, and STEP on it!!" I sat with the biggest grin on my face being like "we doing dis? ..................yeah, we doin dis!!".
is alan wake's cornfield where ur on the stage killing the monsters while the rock band is playing? thats the only section i remember from alan wake lol.
This game delivered so many brilliant moments like this. One of the most memorable games of the past decade. Remedy absolutist knocked it out of the park.
To all the people claiming "videogames are violent" or "videogames fry your brain", I wish you could see the inside of my soul as it "grew brighter" while playing this mission. Better than any movie or any book, this is a kick ass story with kick ass music, an amazing protagonist, with an deep, deep psychic moral to boot. Remedy has been linked to the board, they are weilding objects of power to create these masterpieces.
If only those kinds of people could try a game like this, they'd certainly change their tune. This is the furthest thing I can think of from mindless video games
If you wanna know where it is, it’s in the Utility Corridor in the west wing of the map. There’s a drop down to a track that connects to the turntable, and the radio is on a platform (fitting, right?)
DingusMcKringus There's also a stage light you can turn on behind the platform that shines the same blue hue as the "Swift Platform" mission! Took me a second to figure out the location thanks to the Hiss.
I get the feeling that the AIs have a personality attached to them, like how the Train Car in the AWE DLC is basically just trying to forget the traumatic effects of the crash that had been done to it. I believe the Cinematic Camera was just trying to shoot one last film before it was deactivated. Which is kinda sad... I also might be overthinking it a little. Am I alone on this?
That's pretty much what Langston thinks as well, and I think Darling mentions something like that in one of his videos. Also the camera isn't deactivated it's just purged of Hiss corruption.
I think they have programming and sub-routines, but not full-on sentience or personalities. HOWEVER in Eagle Limited's case the files suggest the trauma is an imprint from its dead passengers, so even if AIs don't have sentience/personalities in this particular case the trauma was no less real. (also I'm not made of stone, helping it put the past to rest felt good and its Unique Mod is my favorite mod in the game)

Quality over quantity. It allowed for a great main story and fun side quests. My personal most memorable side quest was when you had to go into the Altered Mirror. That was cool.

@MysteryRomantic Games looks too bulky to be held as a one hand weapon though. Would be nice if she could hold it like a rifle of sorts. I guess they dropped it for gameplay purposes since the weapons there had filled a lot of roles already. Man I still would love to be able to use the guns used by the FBC and Hiss though. They look neat.

This is one of the best moments in Control. This track is amazing and even tho I died to the boss a few times I didn't mind cos of this music. Funny thing, one time the game bugged out and the boss never spawned and Jesse was stuck in an endless loop riding on the rail while the track played endlessly. I didn't even quit the game until after like 10 minutes.
This, the ashtray maze. The flamingo, anchor and fridge boss. Highlight the best of control. And i only hope when a control 2 is made. They go all out with weirdness. Surrealness And creativity. Strange alternate spacetime bubble universes. Weird parallel creatures. More altered item quests.and a kicking soundtrack full of synthwave, and metal

I almost passed this quest up just before the finale, and I was SO glad I didn't! This quest was really fun and this music was amazing. It was like a movie but played like an arcade game.

Absolutely rocked, seriously this changed the game from a middling 6 that I probably wouldn’t play again, to a possible 8 just for this awesome synth wave. Just wish they had included a more ‘drive’ like soundtrack throughout. Would have been the perfect fit.

Remedy put a lot a love on all their games.

This game gets much easier if you manage to get the mod that restores health after you hit with launch. I was able to go back and platinum it.

Can I brag that I beat this section on my first attempt? It was actually harder for me to find the stairs that lead to the elevator with the cart.
I didn't find it until after I had done everything else in The Foundation! I just could not find the way down to it, for ages.
I finished The Foundation today and I cannot express in words how happy this mission made me. Such a good vibe.

Traveling Knife , the composer is Petri Alanko but that was for the main game, I’ve been waiting for the album. I think he might release the DLC soundtrack soon. It is a bad ass track for sure.

I got myself killed on purpose multiple times to replay the mission.
Absolutely rocked, seriously this changed the game from a middling 6 that I probably wouldn’t play again, to a possible 8 just for this awesome synth wave. Just wish they had included a more ‘drive’ like soundtrack throughout. Would have been the perfect fit.
