Euri Solis, a 50-year-old father and avid runner, was diagnosed with stage four non-small cell lung cancer caused by a rare ALK gene mutation.
Despite his severe pain and multiple metastases in his bones, liver, and brain, a multidisciplinary team at the University of Kansas Cancer Center, led by Dr. Larry Corum, provided targeted therapy.
Euri's treatment includes a daily pill, which has kept his cancer in remission.
