Thats right. I grew up traveling in these and I would allways end up sleeping the whole ride. Now you dont sleep because you dont know when that Honda tin can with disposable transmission is going to go out.
@@brandedmcgowan9414 No way E series will disappear. They just updated the interior on it and it is a cut away for 2020. I have no idea why a cut away gets an updated interior but GM doesn't do anything to update express. As long as it has a column shifter, I would love to see an interior update.
@@an2niotransitproductions813 if that was the plan by GM hopefully when the covid19 shit disappears GM can update it by 2021/22 like for the pickups, at least the 6.6l gasser is available for 2020 but NEVER pass up on a DuraMax if that engine is available for these conversations.
I don't care that it's old, it still looks great and old tech could also mean a more dependable sorted design, I dont get why people complain alot about this van conversion, if you dont like it just dont buy it, I just love the classic design style combined with some modern touches, best of all it rides on a trusty reliable and very strong heavy duty truck frame with very strong and dependable V8 truck engines, they can haul and tow like a heavy duty truck and they can be equipped with AWD/4WD, I just love them!!! However they are too much money for me, so might have to settle for an used one....which might be a way better bargain...
I think Chevy should’ve redesigned the entire from dash, it’s 2020 what is there no touch screen to back up camera, you’re literally driving a whole boat and they didn’t even give you a good back up camera. Also the gauge cluster should’ve have changed completely. This is the same thing that’s they’ve used a whole decade ago, and it’s time for some changes.
People complain ( and I don't give a hoot) that its is old . Well I have bought "newer" cars , appliances, technology and Ive come to the conclusion that they are as useful as a turd in my hand and nowhere to get rid of it. I wish they made quality stuff like back in the days. So all the people that complaint is because you were born in a disposable society where nothing works.
a z I like how ford E series is a cutaway and they update the dashboard and steering wheel. But Express being a normal sale model doesn’t update. I think a new wheel is justifiable. People like the express body the way it is.
The rear camera dash display, the headlights and taillights need an upgrade. Other than that I would ignore the bad accident I saw. Where one of these was rear ended and crumpled halfways.
So that it doesn't sit so high. It is made so that your grandma complements you the whole way from Atlanta to the Grand Canyon on how comfortable it is to sleep, get in, get out and have her nap.
Explorer manufacturers and sells these. Originally made as Chevy Express vans. But transfomed into conversion vans. In city you don’t see these though. Suburban areas you do.
Love these vans. They are big, roomy and have the best driving stability of any van chassis. Way better stability than the new Ford, Dodge and even Mercedes new style front wheel drive vans. That means everything to me as far as safety is concerned specially while driving at highways speeds. Driven the new ones and they are very unstable even with a new very low mileage van with new tires.
thats actually a good thing. hold onto the past, because things were alot better back then. riding in a big conversion van in the 80`s with the family was good memories. today its all compact japanese crap and no fun
I love Fords but I think GM did the right thing keeping the old style vans. It's definitely a good looking van that keeps the old style front end alive. I look at the Dodge van and want to puke. Big old cheap looking rubber bumpers in front that has that goofy face look. Ford is not bad but I still like the old style Ford van. They were good looking vans. They last forever. I had my 1977 e150 pass the 500,000 mile mark when I had to sell it. Too many vehicles. Still ran great. Had a 351 Windsor with a 2 barrel. Automatic transmission and all the goodies of a custom van.
