Just don't do this because you will get oil level warnings because the car thinks it is a diesel wich needs 0.5 liters more. When you top the oil up to get rid of the oil level warning you have to much oil in your engine. This is very bad!
That is a valid warning. I was getting quite frequent oil level warnings for some time and I need to check if this is because of this coding. I will pin this comment. Thank you for your input.
Hello, great video as usual, can you please check to see if it's possible to switch off misfire detection. My vehicle has a slight misfire on cylinder 1 when sitting at traffic lights etc, I do know it's because that cylinder has a slightly lower compression than the others and when the revs are above 900 the misfire detection deactivates. The engine counts the misfires and eventually switches that cylinder off totally, then needing an engine stop for a few minutes and restart to again run on all 4 cylinders. I would prefer to have misfire detection switched off totally if possible. Thanks.
@@MtlCarGarage I could maybe make it work by lifting the Idle speed to around 900, i have tried this before without any success but think it should be possible. I have cleaned and recalibrated the throttle body but this did not increase the Idle speed. Maybe its a number change in Basic Settings, any idea ?
@MtlCarGarage My dashboard is exactly same as in the video. It only shows outside temparature on the lower little screen, so ive been thinking test change to gasoline engine first and Back to turbo gasoline if not working
@@MtlCarGarage I saw a tdi (75) for sale in the U.K. and it had both temperature and mpg showing, it just didn’t look like something that would be from factory. Hence thought maybe was done this way
Haha i really d not realised that the EPC it's not turning on at beginning, but not sure after i activated this function...i get the colling level low at beginning of turning on ignition...and after 2-3min it's going off...i will reverse the coding to check if it's this the problem
Sadly EPC light goes away on petrol engines. I have no problems with coolant level on mine. Check your coolant level ;), because when I had low coolant level I got this warning…

Worked great, thanks.
Glad it helped

Sadly I do not know if this is possible. But I doubt.

Would this work on Audi A3 8L 1.8T? There is two options on the list (2=gasoline engine) and (0=diesel engine) for the last number.
Sadly I do not know.

Hi, are you going to show how to add new keys ,please because nobody seems to do these things for an Audi A2. Thanks
Sadly I do not have a need for this, at least currently ;).
hello, do you know how to set the range kilometers so that it is also visible?
To have that info, the car must have full DIS.
What else can be coding at this model 1.4 AUA?
Interested in automatic door lock after starting

There are some other options, but I need to find time to film them…
Does this work with the 1.4tdi too? Mine doesn’t show consumption. But then I might need the epc light for the MOT pass I don’t know in U.K. 😂
Sadly I have not tried with diesel.

I might try this to see if it takes away the brake pad warning.. lol
:)
