It effects the property of the magic instead of the mana flow. It’s not a boost it’s more of a hax, everyone’s magic deals the same damage but the effects of anti magic makes the attack able to have like a drain effect
Based on the new black clover movie 'sword of the wizard king' it is not totally impossible for antimagic and magic to coexist think of it as yin and yang kinda thing. Its all about control over the power just as asta learned to tame his anti magic to prevent demon slayer from killing all his allies that emits magic all the time in battle.
This just makes anti-magic more like a covering that gives objects the ability to nullify magic instead of it being its own thing so it's exactly like dark magic has no physical form but cots an objects giving it the property of darkness
Dorothy is one of the worst captains in the series. She does nothing but sleep all day, and then she doesn't even have the courtesy to put in her 2 weeks notice before quitting and becoming the new Witch Queen. Also rip the Witch Queen, she was a hero in the end 🥺
Dorothy and Kaiser are the only captains we didn't have a backstory on. Now she just wants to quit and leave her squad to die in the main event? I think Tabata doesn't really know what to do with her anymore. She was just good enough for exposition.
Its what i like to call the nakime effect. If you give a side character a broken ability you have to nerf their ability to use it correctly to break the story.
Surpassed one's limit should have a limitation unless it's something irregular. Fighting against the Paladin is beyond their pay grade even for the captains. Therefore Asta giving his anti-magic to his teammates is a proof of human limitation against something beyond human capabilities.

I believe Asta is foreshadowing the original wizard king’s intentions to share magic with everyone in the kingdom. The device he and Nero made, along with the elves blessing by mana was supposed to be the end all solution
@michaelttb It's not really a problem. Remember, Liebe is the one who controls, generates, and manipulates Anti-Magic. Since he knows that the BB are his allies and friends, and Asta uses Ki/Zetten, it makes sense that the BB can use Anti-Magic for whatever purpose they need to for the time being. Liebe is manipulating AM to different degree as to not detriment his friends.

Back during the cave arc, do you remember when the kids were being sucked out of their mana? Nobody died. Or back when we first saw Asta timeskip. In the Spade Fortress thing, the citizens of Spade were being drained of their mana and nobody died. Or hell, how about Asta? He shouldn't even be alive at all. Forget Lichita's Magic, if Asta was just born normally and still didn't have any Magic/mana, he would be dead. And remember, Liebe is controlling the Anti-Magic, and since the BB are his allies, he knows not to give them too much where it would be detrimental to them.
I believe that asta sharing his anti magic with black bulls would work like an armor to prevent Lucius at transforming one of them into paladin just to make Asta lose his concentration even for one secon. Or it could be the other way around , asta grimoar was licht grimoar so his magic is sword magic,but liebe after he enters in grimoar and achieved anti magic he changed the property of the magic,so maybe asta can now for a time limit he can change their friends magic property (corupting more or less).
His anti magic does more than just cancel all magic. The demon dweller sword has always been able to absorb and transmit magic. So the 2 can co-exist when wielded properly.
Shonen has fell off, man. Everyone is too afraid to kill off characters or have any real stakes. At this point I'm just flipping the pages. Of course everyone was a "hair away from death" and of course they were immediately healed and of course the Queen retires depsite the fact she doesn't have a dang scratch on her like, what, her mana can't replenish over time? Of course instead of Vanessa getting some depth and finally accepting her fate as the Queen of witches some random character we've seen all of 10 panels throughout 300 chapters says "Nah, i'll do it". Of course Asta oneshots this guy and is able to somehow give ANTIMAGIC to MAGIC users. This is straight up Mickey Mouse shit. At the least, AT THE VERY LEAST, have the Queen say it'll take time to heal everyone so when Asta is fighting the sea of angels solo there's a badass moment where everyone shows up in the nick of time. If you're going to be predictable at least make it epic.
Folks, keep in mind that both Vanica & Zenon both gave some of their devil power to their disciples. So why can't Asta do the same thing? Plus with all those Lucius clones everywhere bigger numbers will be needed...

I don’t think Asta sharing his power is a problem. If this really is the end of the series then he has to be wizard king level. So for him to be so OP like Julius was then of course he’s going to do some crazy stuff to aid his Allie’s to defeat an “impossible” threat. That’s how most shonen anime is
The paladins, much less Lucius, are extremely broken. The have massive power ups to their original magic, some have second magic types, and they have enhanced physical conditioning with possible healing. Yuno is Wizard King level himself and had difficulties with one Lucius. Either the characters needed a power up or Asta would need to run through an army that all the magic knights combined couldn't beat. I think the idea is that this gives the characters the ability to hot their opponents without their magic being immediately cancelled or overpowered.
Lol black clover fell off for me so hard. It all started going downhill with the dark trio. They clapped the captains no diff and the power scaling just went to complete and utter dog water…. Powers ups every second now everyone’s useless besides asta. Witch queen was hyped just to be thrown away. Black bulls the only ones getting shine out of all the squads… writing is awful. It was really amazing the beginning to middle was 10/10. This other half has been… awful.
i wished that he didnt give them anti magic cause that was the thing that made him unique and it made him as like a symbol of hope due to him also being the only one who can defeat damanito but now so many others have it
Anti Magic of Asta is Very Similar to Nihility Energy of Rimuru Tempest. Nihility Energy is Negative Energy That can Destroy anything and in the Light Novel only Benimaru was Able to Borrow it to Rimuru and use it. Anti Magic is an Energy that can be use in the same feat as Regular Mana. It's like Nen in Hxh where there is another energy call ON and Gon use his Nen Ability Jajanken but with ON energy

As we know, that ability of the demon dweller sword works on people you are close with, people you love. So I don't think Asta will go around sharing anti-magic, so basically is not the same as Naruto who shared nine tails chakra with everyone. And I don't think it will be fully anti-magic, they'll still use their powers as normal but that cancels enemy's magic. Just like in the water dungeon, Noelle's magic in the demon dweller was not anti-magic but it was amplified to cancel magic.

Couple important notes. The ability to only cut what Asta wants to cut with AM is specifically a property of Demon Slasher (katana) and does not mean his other swords have the same property. The second important point is that AM can and does coexist with mana it’s just when there is an extreme concentration that AM affects mana. Think swords when they sucked Julius mana and when Devil Union undid the Nacht x Yami combo magic against Lucifero. It’s why mastering KI/Zetten/Am is important to this new power up. The only problem I can find with sharing AM is if the word “bond” is taken to loosely and thus turns into Naruto chakra cloak thing during the war.
where is it stated that the ability to cut what he wants is a property exclusive of demon slasher? or was he just using that sword at the time he made that statement? because i'm pretty sure it is the latter.

The problem is that asta's anti magic has the ability to negate magic. Him shared it with others' defeat that whole concept. I mean, look no far to the Sword of the Wizard King, Some people say Austin used magic because there was such a ludicrous amount of it that all that magic overwhelmed his anti magic
There's also the explanation that Asta simply moved the anti-magic in his body to one side. I feel that's the simplest and makes the most sense, especially when that's what appears to be happening. As for how he can bestow anti-magic onto the rest of the black bulls I'd say he probably has developed such precise control that he can stop it from affecting them. He already does this when he uses Yami's sword. He can send out anti-magic slashes and chose who it does and doesn't affect.
Anti magic working in conjunction with magic is shown multiple times in the series.There is a community in the fandom that believes anti magic is not op as it requires multiple sacrifices to use but this chapter straight up insults them.
This is incredibly lazy writing so I understand why the community is upset. This goes against the whole series theme of surpassing your limits to get stronger like here everybody take this broken power up to directly counter our enemy that has no negative effects to you in the long run. Since this is the route they're taking though I do like the idea of their magic abilities having the opposite traits/effects so fingers crossed for that

In the past the Black Bulls went out of their way so Asta could land the final blow in a intese Battle. Now Asta is just returning the favor. I don't like how Dorothy is basically taking herself out of the story. Again the black bulls connections are genuine. I think Yuno and Noelle should not receive Asta's support. They just had a power up and can't do anything against the opponents. It would be a statement to their weakness. Let the Black Bulls show off what they can do now and we'll talk later. I mean it's not like Asta could benefit from Yuno's Neverland spell.
I will literally stop the series if Yuno and Noelle get that buff, but i don’t think they will. Dorothy has been threw out of the story by Tabata because he doesn’t bother exploring her potential. With that i don’t even believe Fuegoleon will ever have his Spirit dive.

Spirit dive wouldn't be enough and there's no way he'll instantly achive saint stage. Everything he should have bee was given to his sister. I mean maybe Tabata wanted to invoke the fact that he is just that good at writing female characters in a fighting-shonen manga. I wouldn't blame him. @@Grayson-Winchester Noelle not winning with her own powers would be one of the worst things of the whole series, the set up for her current power up lasted over 300+ chapters for not even an mini arc to be happy about the execution, Mereoleona told her to surpass Acier with her strength because they look the same, she didn’t received Leviathan to give up her magic and chose the easy way with anti magic, it would also destroy her character development as a whole btw, for the struggles/hard work and independence part. Tabata doesn’t care about captains, Wiliam was ALWAYS mediocre, Fuegoleon isn’t even capable to catch up with his OWN advices, he didn’t even learn a single new spell with the fire spirit since he’s it’s host, no improvements in 2 years and few months, while Yuno had Bell a little before and mastered it now, Noelle went for Spirit dive + Saint stage + full Valkyrie armor + a sword in one single transformation and 3 days for a TEMPORARY contract with Undine, he still only know the same useless attack ☠️ The fact Noelle even got Leviathan before him and her Dragon form is crazy, Mereoleona keep getting stronger and close to the mana to the point she’s dying by her own strength, Nozel had few moments and reached his potential, Fuego never even had more than 1 fight for himself. Kaiser the Ultimate shield never succeeded to protect the kingdom or a few people on screen lol, the only good ones outside of Yami are Charlotte and Rill, as Jack died.
@blackcoast5180 I agree that Noelle should defeat Acier with her own power, but as for the anti magic state, she definitely will also get a share of it, which I'm all up for. Against Lucius and potentially whatever Addramelch is plotting. Hopefully she defeats Acier before the Black Bulls arrive. The problem with that she and Mereoleona are struggling atm.
@ndunsimbi7901 the demon-dweller-sword can combine anti-magic and normal magic it did so years ago when Asta first used it in his first dungeon he combined his anti-magic with Noelle water magic in the form of a blue slash.
i assume he replaced their mana with anti magic POWER since anti magic is in fact magic. giving his friends access to the source of power instead subjecting them to the effects of that power. im thinking of it like a tree with thorns where the nutrients are in the trunk but it isnt easily accessible due to the thorns. in this case the tree (Asta+Liebe) is giving them the nutrients (anti magic POWER) directly therefore bypassing the risk of being pricked. i hope this makes sense but feel free to add points or corrections 😅
Yes it's a type of magic but it's weird. If it was like chakra absorption and no I don't mean those guys in Naruto and Boruto who absorb chakra that's an ability. No I mean Nagato who had the chakra type like the red chakra of jinchuriki or dark chakra. It's a unique chakra that's literally only absorbs chakra and that's kinda crazy. But no this power is supposed to kill you. These 2 powers shouldn't coexist. What if I had darkness magic and then I absorb this guys light magic fine that makes sense. But if it was specifically stated that only I could use dark magic because everyone else was born with light and I lacked light cos whatever plot thing. Therefore, it's like water and fire they put each other out. Then it's even crazier if I somehow give it to others or I take it myself. It's not absorption magic only, nor is it transmission only but it's anti magic. It CANCELS OUT magic. Not just in the way fire and water or dark and light do no it literally kills you. It absorbs your powers, cancels out any magic you have or use against an AM user, and an AM user can absorb your magic and redirect it back at you i.e. transmission. The only problem was if we were never told about Asta not having magic and that's why he can use anti magic. Or how it cancels and absorbs mana it would make more sense. I get that analogy but how is that possible? Even your example sounds like a plot device. How would we get the nutrients without dealing with the thorns? Yes maybe by absorbing the nutrients thru some weird technology. But imagine if those nutrients were poisonous to humans. Then how would we be able to use said nutrients? Taking out the harmful bit is like taking out the anti magic property so that won't work. The nutrients would then be useless. Dam I wrote too much but I also hope this made sense.

It seems like everyone is forgetting that antimagic items Drain ur magic and stamina just by touching them which is what happened to julius when he tried to hold the demon dweller now evryone czn use it no problem which is kind of a plothole
100 percent cap. Litchs sword magic of the demon dweller already has the ability to drain one of their magic, store it and then redirect it. He literally did this when fighting yuno and this was also done when Julius tried picking up the demon dweller even when asta didn't even imbue it with anti magic. That's a basic ability of Litchs sword magic. People forget that AWStats grimioir including his sword were all originally Litchs. So no it is not a plothole since litchs swords can absorb redirect magic and even increase the magic of others. To also add. Asta has now perfectly trained his anti magic to the point that with his demon katana sword he can now choose what magic to cut and what magic not to cut with his anti magic sword. The same applies but in an adverse way now. He can now choose whom his affected by his anti magic and whom is not affected by it
AntiMagic has officially lost its meaning....... No single being who has mana should of been able Țö interact with it without consequences. This really ruined it for me and alot of people. It goes against the power system and is a Definite A$$pull. He's no longer the anomaly we all admired, smh........ I feel like i wasted my time with this story......💔

Anti Magic might be Negative Magic, that's the reason why others can't measure it. But even Negative quantities have a Magnitude. Here Asta's Anti Magic might be acting as a -1 and anything multiplied by -1 becomes a Negative value of the same Magnitude. Meaning the Anti Magic of all Black Bulls will work the same way as their magic did, only it will be effective against any Magic Users. Similar to Lucius's Paladins. BTW just speculating.
Shounen mangakas need a class with togashi or fmab mangaka on how to write power system and power scaling. It is so bad till there’s no hype for power ups in BC anymore.

I think the power up is fine, the level of gap between the paladins and the black bulls are just too much. Yes it seems like its been spoon fed to them but in my eyes irs just a equalizer plus this is THE final war, there's no time for training anymore. I think the best way they could've approached this was giving the black bulls an actual shot at damnatio and showcase that they did get stronger over the time skip after the spade invasion arc before they got annihilated

Gonna go on a fanboy squeal here. Asta can now bestow anti-magic power to his allies who he has high affinity with, in that case he can cast it on Yuno and Noel (his two highest affinity companions), Mimosa, Leopold maybe. BUT there's one character I really wanna see him share it with, and that's Marie (Gauche's little sister). Marie has Eye/Iris magic, just imagine the capabilities of Anti-magic combined with Eye/Iris magic, with just one look she can nullify and break spells and magic. But of course she hasn't fully developed her magic yet but who knows, she was possessed by an elf, that might help her.
Okay so I have been waiting for Asta to do this with the demon dweller since Licht did it during the elf arc. No all we need is anti magic demon dweller conquering eon and Asta will have completed his Arc.

Even if the delivery was a little ehhhh. This was something that had to happen. Similarly to how Yuno evened the odds a little bit with his spell. Since as strong as Asta and Yuno are there is still a problem concerning the number of powerful enemies. Granted this is more akin to Asta granting them a second attribute temporarily which alters their abilites, ie no different to how Lich's sword magic has been modified with Anti-magic. Something I much prefer to say how Naruto was quite literally hard carrying an entire army.
The only way i will except this power up is if giving the antimagic just allows the others to still use magic in astas presence rather than the actually being able to use antimagic power

i've got an other explanation, the way i see things magic and anti magic are like particles and antiparticles they cancel each other that means mana and anti magic are opposite sources of power, magic coming from mana is positive magic and magic coming from antimagic is negative magic, everyone has positive magic and the first one to get a negative magic is asta who got licht's swords magic (btw that means that Asta has magic despite not having any source of power (Liebe acting as the source)) but licht's swords magic turned into negative swords magic because of Liebe (the power of the swords remained the same but everything that was using mana is now using antimagic), so what happened in that chapter is just asta converting blackbulls positive magic into negative magic (negative lighting magic, negative fire magic, ect)

It’s like all the other black bulls didn’t have any further progression for their magic and abilities, so this Asta power pull happened to let them keep up. Yet as you said that defeats the whole point of the Black Bulls narratively. It takes away their ultimate character growth and ending of their own character arcs.

So instead of each of the Black Bulls taking their individual magic to its apex with their own hard work and ingenuity like how it was portrayed it was going to be throughout the entire story, its now ‘Our ability to fight as the black bulls in the story is now solely contingent on Asta and without him we are fodder.’ That’s bad character writing. I love Black Clover but I’m not dense or a fanboy.

It effects the property of the magic instead of the mana flow. It’s not a boost it’s more of a hax, everyone’s magic deals the same damage but the effects of anti magic makes the attack able to have like a drain effect

Based on the new black clover movie 'sword of the wizard king' it is not totally impossible for antimagic and magic to coexist think of it as yin and yang kinda thing. Its all about control over the power just as asta learned to tame his anti magic to prevent demon slayer from killing all his allies that emits magic all the time in battle.
This just makes anti-magic more like a covering that gives objects the ability to nullify magic instead of it being its own thing so it's exactly like dark magic has no physical form but cots an objects giving it the property of darkness

Dorothy and Kaiser are the only captains we didn't have a backstory on. Now she just wants to quit and leave her squad to die in the main event? I think Tabata doesn't really know what to do with her anymore. She was just good enough for exposition.

Surpassed one's limit should have a limitation unless it's something irregular. Fighting against the Paladin is beyond their pay grade even for the captains. Therefore Asta giving his anti-magic to his teammates is a proof of human limitation against something beyond human capabilities.

@michaelttb It's not really a problem. Remember, Liebe is the one who controls, generates, and manipulates Anti-Magic. Since he knows that the BB are his allies and friends, and Asta uses Ki/Zetten, it makes sense that the BB can use Anti-Magic for whatever purpose they need to for the time being. Liebe is manipulating AM to different degree as to not detriment his friends.

Putting anti magic on an object is pretty much diffrent than Putting it in a person with Mana.

His anti magic does more than just cancel all magic. The demon dweller sword has always been able to absorb and transmit magic. So the 2 can co-exist when wielded properly.

Shonen has fell off, man. Everyone is too afraid to kill off characters or have any real stakes. At this point I'm just flipping the pages. Of course everyone was a "hair away from death" and of course they were immediately healed and of course the Queen retires depsite the fact she doesn't have a dang scratch on her like, what, her mana can't replenish over time? Of course instead of Vanessa getting some depth and finally accepting her fate as the Queen of witches some random character we've seen all of 10 panels throughout 300 chapters says "Nah, i'll do it". Of course Asta oneshots this guy and is able to somehow give ANTIMAGIC to MAGIC users. This is straight up Mickey Mouse shit.
At the least, AT THE VERY LEAST, have the Queen say it'll take time to heal everyone so when Asta is fighting the sea of angels solo there's a badass moment where everyone shows up in the nick of time. If you're going to be predictable at least make it epic.

The paladins, much less Lucius, are extremely broken. The have massive power ups to their original magic, some have second magic types, and they have enhanced physical conditioning with possible healing. Yuno is Wizard King level himself and had difficulties with one Lucius. Either the characters needed a power up or Asta would need to run through an army that all the magic knights combined couldn't beat. I think the idea is that this gives the characters the ability to hot their opponents without their magic being immediately cancelled or overpowered.

Lol black clover fell off for me so hard. It all started going downhill with the dark trio. They clapped the captains no diff and the power scaling just went to complete and utter dog water…. Powers ups every second now everyone’s useless besides asta. Witch queen was hyped just to be thrown away. Black bulls the only ones getting shine out of all the squads… writing is awful. It was really amazing the beginning to middle was 10/10. This other half has been… awful.

As we know, that ability of the demon dweller sword works on people you are close with, people you love. So I don't think Asta will go around sharing anti-magic, so basically is not the same as Naruto who shared nine tails chakra with everyone.
And I don't think it will be fully anti-magic, they'll still use their powers as normal but that cancels enemy's magic.
Just like in the water dungeon, Noelle's magic in the demon dweller was not anti-magic but it was amplified to cancel magic.

Couple important notes. The ability to only cut what Asta wants to cut with AM is specifically a property of Demon Slasher (katana) and does not mean his other swords have the same property. The second important point is that AM can and does coexist with mana it’s just when there is an extreme concentration that AM affects mana. Think swords when they sucked Julius mana and when Devil Union undid the Nacht x Yami combo magic against Lucifero. It’s why mastering KI/Zetten/Am is important to this new power up. The only problem I can find with sharing AM is if the word “bond” is taken to loosely and thus turns into Naruto chakra cloak thing during the war.

The problem is that asta's anti magic has the ability to negate magic. Him shared it with others' defeat that whole concept. I mean, look no far to the Sword of the Wizard King, Some people say Austin used magic because there was such a ludicrous amount of it that all that magic overwhelmed his anti magic
There's also the explanation that Asta simply moved the anti-magic in his body to one side. I feel that's the simplest and makes the most sense, especially when that's what appears to be happening.
As for how he can bestow anti-magic onto the rest of the black bulls I'd say he probably has developed such precise control that he can stop it from affecting them.
He already does this when he uses Yami's sword. He can send out anti-magic slashes and chose who it does and doesn't affect.
Don't forget the movie gave the inverse showing it was possible.

Anti magic working in conjunction with magic is shown multiple times in the series.There is a community in the fandom that believes anti magic is not op as it requires multiple sacrifices to use but this chapter straight up insults them.
This is incredibly lazy writing so I understand why the community is upset. This goes against the whole series theme of surpassing your limits to get stronger like here everybody take this broken power up to directly counter our enemy that has no negative effects to you in the long run. Since this is the route they're taking though I do like the idea of their magic abilities having the opposite traits/effects so fingers crossed for that

In the past the Black Bulls went out of their way so Asta could land the final blow in a intese Battle. Now Asta is just returning the favor. I don't like how Dorothy is basically taking herself out of the story. Again the black bulls connections are genuine. I think Yuno and Noelle should not receive Asta's support. They just had a power up and can't do anything against the opponents. It would be a statement to their weakness. Let the Black Bulls show off what they can do now and we'll talk later. I mean it's not like Asta could benefit from Yuno's Neverland spell.

Tabata doesn’t care about captains, Wiliam was ALWAYS mediocre, Fuegoleon isn’t even capable to catch up with his OWN advices, he didn’t even learn a single new spell with the fire spirit since he’s it’s host, no improvements in 2 years and few months, while Yuno had Bell a little before and mastered it now, Noelle went for Spirit dive + Saint stage + full Valkyrie armor + a sword in one single transformation and 3 days for a TEMPORARY contract with Undine, he still only know the same useless attack ☠️
The fact Noelle even got Leviathan before him and her Dragon form is crazy, Mereoleona keep getting stronger and close to the mana to the point she’s dying by her own strength, Nozel had few moments and reached his potential, Fuego never even had more than 1 fight for himself.
Kaiser the Ultimate shield never succeeded to protect the kingdom or a few people on screen lol, the only good ones outside of Yami are Charlotte and Rill, as Jack died.

i assume he replaced their mana with anti magic POWER since anti magic is in fact magic. giving his friends access to the source of power instead subjecting them to the effects of that power. im thinking of it like a tree with thorns where the nutrients are in the trunk but it isnt easily accessible due to the thorns. in this case the tree (Asta+Liebe) is giving them the nutrients (anti magic POWER) directly therefore bypassing the risk of being pricked. i hope this makes sense but feel free to add points or corrections 😅
Yes it's a type of magic but it's weird. If it was like chakra absorption and no I don't mean those guys in Naruto and Boruto who absorb chakra that's an ability. No I mean Nagato who had the chakra type like the red chakra of jinchuriki or dark chakra. It's a unique chakra that's literally only absorbs chakra and that's kinda crazy. But no this power is supposed to kill you. These 2 powers shouldn't coexist. What if I had darkness magic and then I absorb this guys light magic fine that makes sense. But if it was specifically stated that only I could use dark magic because everyone else was born with light and I lacked light cos whatever plot thing. Therefore, it's like water and fire they put each other out. Then it's even crazier if I somehow give it to others or I take it myself. It's not absorption magic only, nor is it transmission only but it's anti magic. It CANCELS OUT magic. Not just in the way fire and water or dark and light do no it literally kills you. It absorbs your powers, cancels out any magic you have or use against an AM user, and an AM user can absorb your magic and redirect it back at you i.e. transmission.
The only problem was if we were never told about Asta not having magic and that's why he can use anti magic. Or how it cancels and absorbs mana it would make more sense. I get that analogy but how is that possible? Even your example sounds like a plot device. How would we get the nutrients without dealing with the thorns? Yes maybe by absorbing the nutrients thru some weird technology. But imagine if those nutrients were poisonous to humans. Then how would we be able to use said nutrients? Taking out the harmful bit is like taking out the anti magic property so that won't work. The nutrients would then be useless. Dam I wrote too much but I also hope this made sense.

It seems like everyone is forgetting that antimagic items Drain ur magic and stamina just by touching them which is what happened to julius when he tried to hold the demon dweller now evryone czn use it no problem which is kind of a plothole
100 percent cap. Litchs sword magic of the demon dweller already has the ability to drain one of their magic, store it and then redirect it. He literally did this when fighting yuno and this was also done when Julius tried picking up the demon dweller even when asta didn't even imbue it with anti magic. That's a basic ability of Litchs sword magic. People forget that AWStats grimioir including his sword were all originally Litchs.
So no it is not a plothole since litchs swords can absorb redirect magic and even increase the magic of others.
To also add. Asta has now perfectly trained his anti magic to the point that with his demon katana sword he can now choose what magic to cut and what magic not to cut with his anti magic sword. The same applies but in an adverse way now. He can now choose whom his affected by his anti magic and whom is not affected by it

Anti Magic might be Negative Magic, that's the reason why others can't measure it. But even Negative quantities have a Magnitude. Here Asta's Anti Magic might be acting as a -1 and anything multiplied by -1 becomes a Negative value of the same Magnitude. Meaning the Anti Magic of all Black Bulls will work the same way as their magic did, only it will be effective against any Magic Users. Similar to Lucius's Paladins. BTW just speculating.

I think the power up is fine, the level of gap between the paladins and the black bulls are just too much. Yes it seems like its been spoon fed to them but in my eyes irs just a equalizer plus this is THE final war, there's no time for training anymore. I think the best way they could've approached this was giving the black bulls an actual shot at damnatio and showcase that they did get stronger over the time skip after the spade invasion arc before they got annihilated

I dont see how people expected them to get strong enough to reach the paladins level in such a short period of time. So in my opinion asta sharing his anti magic with them is a good thing plus they do look pretty cool with it

Gonna go on a fanboy squeal here. Asta can now bestow anti-magic power to his allies who he has high affinity with, in that case he can cast it on Yuno and Noel (his two highest affinity companions), Mimosa, Leopold maybe. BUT there's one character I really wanna see him share it with, and that's Marie (Gauche's little sister). Marie has Eye/Iris magic, just imagine the capabilities of Anti-magic combined with Eye/Iris magic, with just one look she can nullify and break spells and magic. But of course she hasn't fully developed her magic yet but who knows, she was possessed by an elf, that might help her.
Okay so I have been waiting for Asta to do this with the demon dweller since Licht did it during the elf arc. No all we need is anti magic demon dweller conquering eon and Asta will have completed his Arc.

Even if the delivery was a little ehhhh. This was something that had to happen. Similarly to how Yuno evened the odds a little bit with his spell. Since as strong as Asta and Yuno are there is still a problem concerning the number of powerful enemies.
Granted this is more akin to Asta granting them a second attribute temporarily which alters their abilites, ie no different to how Lich's sword magic has been modified with Anti-magic. Something I much prefer to say how Naruto was quite literally hard carrying an entire army.
The only way i will except this power up is if giving the antimagic just allows the others to still use magic in astas presence rather than the actually being able to use antimagic power

i've got an other explanation, the way i see things magic and anti magic are like particles and antiparticles they cancel each other
that means mana and anti magic are opposite sources of power, magic coming from mana is positive magic and magic coming from antimagic is negative magic, everyone has positive magic and the first one to get a negative magic is asta who got licht's swords magic (btw that means that Asta has magic despite not having any source of power (Liebe acting as the source)) but licht's swords magic turned into negative swords magic because of Liebe (the power of the swords remained the same but everything that was using mana is now using antimagic), so what happened in that chapter is just asta converting blackbulls positive magic into negative magic (negative lighting magic, negative fire magic, ect)
Devill power is a larger power boost even if they get a little bit of it, they mat gotten a huge power boost and magic type may have that new anti-magic effect.
It’s like all the other black bulls didn’t have any further progression for their magic and abilities, so this Asta power pull happened to let them keep up.
Yet as you said that defeats the whole point of the Black Bulls narratively. It takes away their ultimate character growth and ending of their own character arcs.

So instead of each of the Black Bulls taking their individual magic to its apex with their own hard work and ingenuity like how it was portrayed it was going to be throughout the entire story, its now ‘Our ability to fight as the black bulls in the story is now solely contingent on Asta and without him we are fodder.’

@@rayrolle3355 Right like when Magna came up with his cage match spell for Dante that was amazing. Hype as hell because he was taking his magic to its apex, he was discovering uses of it that he hadn’t thought of before that kept him up on the power scaling and utility with everyone else.
