Even including ones of my recently publicized Master Disc songs. If you know where to find any samples missing here please leave a comment.
Thank you guys so much for making this public! couldn't have come at a better time either, since I do happen to be working on something relating to etd and reignited ;)
Hey everyone! Just so everyone is informed about this, this video's content is somewhat outdated and potentially inaccurate concerning some samples featured in here, which is entirely my fault for not managing my drive better. For starters, a couple of the times where multiple sample variants were included in this video (the instances where a couple might not be used in the tracks) is the result of me sort of batch exporting a chunk of them if they were very similar sounding to one another VERY early on in the project. I have now narrowed them all down to the correct ones but hadn't done so in time for this video, whoops! Secondly, some samples for some tracks are missing here when others are present, notably the rest of the CCC Yodeling samples. I do have them all, I just hadn't gotten around to sorting them all out. Finally, there are a couple samples featured here that were not taken from the original sources. We are now aware of what all those sources are, but these were not obtained/replaced in time for this video. Also, as a side project to this one I personally started exporting and documenting every sample I managed to find from a very wide range of other, non Spyro games. A good chunk of my current findings are found in this video I whipped up alongside F01's: th-cam.com/video/pvHij8aJj20/w-d-xo.html
I don't make my own Spyro tracks (yet, It's on the list) I'm more about making Spyro levels and characters, but hearing these separately is really cool! When I eventually get around to trying to make Spyro music I'll definitely want to make some ETD songs.
3:37 I heard this sample in Ratchet Deadlocked were it used in 5 songs Maraxus - Jail Break Maraxus - Total Control Stygia - Junking the Jammers Stygia - Shields Up! DreadZone Station Interior - Defeat Gleeman Vox
The ones just featured in this video alone are sourced from: Spectrasonics / Vocal Planet Spectrasonics / Metamorphosis Spectrasonics / Distorted Reality 2 EastWest / Steve Stevens Guitar Samples EastWest aka Sound Ideas / Symphonic Adventures (this one has several different released variants over the years) And that's not all of them Stewart and co used either, we're still working on this! There should be a follow up video eventually.
They are! The section of the sample pack they were taken from is named Lakota as is the track they are from on the final master disc. Another example of the heavy "world music" style this game's OST took.
Maybe just me but I never liked the vocal samples in this game, I thought they were too out there. It really had a distinct vibe that no other soundtrack matches though, got to give it that
@@MrFO1 Strange, Copeland mostly used samples like the normal guitar in the original trilogy that were pre-made from what I know, it's probably out there but might have to wait a while.
Can you do a sample discovery for Spyro 3 cause I know Stewart Copeland used Liquid Grooves and Burning Grooves and Zero-g Chemical Beats but I could never figure out where Sunny Villa Samples were from I’m talking about the drumloops and this goes for Agent 9 lab too
Stock music isn't really the right term here, it's heavily made up of purchased/licensed samples from EastWest (or Sound Ideas as I have two variants with slightly different samples) / Symphonic Adventures. That pack for whatever reason (possibly because it's a fairly early sample pack that sounds high quality) became insanely popular with composers from the late 90's onwards hence why certain samples started showing up all over the place. The video I made for non ETD VGM samples shows a good amount of other appearances that sample pack has had.
Nope, though I'm unsure if some of the EastWest ones involved here are still being sold today (all the Spectrasonics ones are). They were all licenced sample packs originally though that Stewart or the other composers purchased for use.

3:18 I've heard these chants in the Rolling Hills Zoo commercials.

Cool!
You're still a dead set legend for compiling this regardess

You’ve done it again! And you’ve helped out a lot of fan music producers also. Thank you very much!🙏🏾😊
3:37 I heard this sample in Ratchet Deadlocked were it used in 5 songs
Maraxus - Jail Break
Maraxus - Total Control
Stygia - Junking the Jammers
Stygia - Shields Up!
DreadZone Station Interior - Defeat Gleeman Vox
I love the Spyro Músic library
Manhattan was also used in Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage in Gulp's overlook. Also, finally found those vocal samples! Thanks!!
This is perfect wow so clutch! ETD Reignited will be so much better off now that we have these samples! Thank you!
Woah you need to show this to Crystal fissure
Alley was also used in quite a few Kevin Spencer episodes.
4:10 This is one of those sample tracks that everyone knows and is used a ton but you can never really name any specific examples
Totally! I think the song from Bedrock Bowling's volcano level sounds like that at the beginning
5:27 Also heard in SimAnimals: Africa along with "ZULU CHR 1" and "ZULU MALE3B" from "Spectrasonics - Heart of Africa Vol. 1".
Thank you! I'm guessing these were from Spectrasonics libraries?

@@MOVGAMES. Awesome! Keep up the good work! :)
There was quite a bit of the ‘Afronics’ samples used in the God of War: Chains of Olympus soundtrack that I recognised. 👌
Hey great video by the way🔥🔥🔥
0:37 I believe this sample may be used in Crash 4? At the very start of 'Off-Balance'
If not, then just a very similar one. :P
It's definitely one of the many Tuvan Drone samples from the same sample pack, good ear.
That Powwow sample must have been from a Lakota Sioux.
They are! The section of the sample pack they were taken from is named Lakota as is the track they are from on the final master disc. Another example of the heavy "world music" style this game's OST took.
0:29-0:33 Can also be heard in TV River from the LSD: Dream Emulator soundtrack.
Maybe just me but I never liked the vocal samples in this game, I thought they were too out there. It really had a distinct vibe that no other soundtrack matches though, got to give it that
I guess I mainly mean the dude's vocals 10 seconds in or so
I think it adds to it. Pirates cove is the best one
Funny, because that's the exact reason I like the soundtrack of this game!
I once heard Indiatek B in Teen Titans Go! in the episode Breakfast Cheese.
Do you happen to have/know the name of the overdrive guitar used at 0:59 in Mid Flute?
Don’t have it yet & it could be a custom guitar Copeland/Neff used which would mean it would be impossible to get.

I’ll let you know if we run into any of those samples.
@@MrFO1 cool
Do you know which libraries these come from?
@@Sevfora Awesome, thank you!
Pretty much all of Ripto's boss theme is made of really common stock music... which just makes it even worse.

Are any of these loops royalty free?
Nope, though I'm unsure if some of the EastWest ones involved here are still being sold today (all the Spectrasonics ones are). They were all licenced sample packs originally though that Stewart or the other composers purchased for use.
Do ratchet and clank samples
