"Be yourself, do what you love and trust that the right people will find you". I live by these words so keep up the good work my friend! I completely understand about creating large, time consuming projects that take A LOT of work, most of the time daunting to try to capture everything and then edit the video. The whole TH-cam process is a lot of work. Keep up the grind!
these words reflect exactly on what appealed me to sub to you in the beginning. and i can proudly say that also thanks to you i am currently working on recording my very first self made video as well, so THANK YOU VERY MUCH. and may your journey be amazing!!
Amazing to see how well your channel has exploded and it’s a breath of fresh air to watch someone be honest and humble, I think that’s why you’re doing so well so keep it up!
There is always someone who’s going to be a negative Nancy, just got to let it roll off. Honestly I’ve started my channel and don’t know what to expect but, I did it for me. I want to share my interest and insights from the hobbies I enjoy with people while encouraging myself and others to try something new. My videos will definitely show lack of confidence but it’s getting easier to record every time! I hope that it grows so I can build it up and have an awesome little community but time will tell. Seams you’re getting on the right track and that definitely encourages me. Glad I can be here to help support you in your growth and can’t wait to see what’s to come for your channel! 🎉
Congrats dude! Very well deserved! I think I watched THAT video when you were around 1.4k subs, so when this popped up, it absolutely made my day. Keep going man! P.S. - don't engage the haters. Honestly, it's just not worth it. As long as the positive comments outweigh the negative, you're doing just fine.
I believe you will make it! Your voice, personality, and videos already have great quality. As someone who has worked as a digital platform analyst for over a decade, I can confidently say your content is doing great. This type of content makes people want to watch, it has a unique niche and strong potential for long-term success. Stay consistent with what has already made you go viral. People love watching content where you talk or do voiceovers while doing something you’re passionate about, like woodworking. Congratulations! 💯
I just found your first TH-cam journey video them immediately was suggested this video and it’s amazing to see your progress on TH-cam has been relatively quick. Keep going you earned a sub from me just for your sincerity alone.
I keep saying I'll start maybe this year I love your videos it surprises me haw meney people do some sort of wood work in the shed keep up the good work mate
While I might’ve joined after you already hit 10k, I’m glad to be a +1 on your subscriber count. Going to try to keep up with your newest videos and keep showing my support as I really like your attitude and tone of videos. All the best from Scotland 🏴
Such a great, inspiring story! ♥ You've done well and good people will support you. I must say, if it hadn't been for that one video, I probably would never have seen you. So, it's a good thing. ♥ Hubby and I had that 'one' video... and then we lost our whole channel (no... we didn't do anything against rules). We've started over, re-uploading all the old videos... but who knows if ''that one' will re-emerge as a champion once again? One thing I did learn the first time around... it's a real coin-toss as to what will happen with which video. Now I do what I like, upload it after editing, and let it go. Negative comments? If they're really bad, delete them; if not, ignore them. Do not engage. ♥
Yes, you just have to make the video, release it and move on. There is no telling what will happen with each upload. Good luck building back up, hope the video takes off again for you!
Adding to the, I don't even do wood work, yet here you are in my feed💜 I don't know you, but I'm oddly proud! I'm trying to build up my small art channel too and it always makes my heart sing when small creators have their moment. And not the last one I'm sure!! Gunna watch your stuff to add to the watch count. Best of luck to you!!😊
This is so awesome mate! A big congrats and I hope that you keep growing at the same pace! You were the one that inspired me and got me that final kick in the arse to finally start what I have been thinking about doing for about three years. And now I have two videos uploaded :) So a big thank you for the inspiration is well at place!
@stringsnsawdust Thanks mate I appreciate it :) How come you are using another account for that? Just wondering if there is something I am missing and that I should not sub and comment other creators from my channel account?
Being real with people advertises to individuals out side your niche, At a certain point people watch you not your content. looking forward to seeing your next build!
It's always a pleasure watching your videos. I've been told to swap "algorithm" with "audience" as last one is what rules on YT... If the audience keeps watching your videos because they are valuable, you get into a positive vortex that helps a lot growing as a YT small channel. So if we struggle on finding the right "frequency" to resonate with the audience, it becomes harder and harder to make the giant leap. I think you got what you deserve and I wish you success on doing what you love and makes you feel good.
Not going to lie.. after watching your first one. I tried to make a similar video with hopes of it doing as well as yours. but i didn't. lol your just too good. Congratulations! Keep up the hard work!
Glad to see you doing better than you expected (much better) ;o) One point I will make about comments is that it is not the same as talking! Obviously as I tyoe this I have my little internal narrator sounding off and pre-checking and editing my mistakes. But that is not the same as the written word! When even someone with a cacker like mine my voice conveys much more information than words. Intonation can turn words from critique to fun and also the other way round! That said you seem to realise the danger of taking comments to heart too much so you should be fine! Craic on lad!
Ha, yea have had a few where you have to give the benefit of the doubt, but if they are definitely being a jerk I just try to be creative when giving it straight back to them, fun game for me and if they snap back then it just looks like better engagement for the algorithm!
whats the chances I am the first comment because I just watched your other YT progress vid haha, wildddd, wanted to peep your other vids and noticed this one was uploaded seconds ago, love it
Congratulations on 10…now 12k subs! This is inspiration me, I’m still in the procrastination phase 😕 loved the bench you built in this video, looks solid, so you sell plans? 😊
I just found your video and you got a new sub! Keeping being yourself and look forward to seeing your builds!! What is the router bit you used to cut for the biscuits? I don’t want to waste money on a machine to only do that and I saw you do that with the router and that is cool. Thanks!
Thanks, yea I was the same, didn’t want to buy a dedicated biscuit tool. If you just search biscuit cutter router bit you should find them. Worked well. The biscuits are quite close to the surface as it’s limited by how deep you can plunge your router but I just needed them to hold the boards in alignment until the glue set up.
I suggest not viewing a subscriber count as any measure of any personal success, or even TH-cam success.... The whole subject of 'number of subscribers' is toxic in my opinion. It will mess with your mental health. I wish the sub count didn't exist. Your view count on the hand is more telling, coupled with 'average watch time'... Keep yourself sane and try and ignore your sub count. I promise, doing so will save your mentality... I speak from experience :-)
Oh yea the sub count really isn’t my driver, and you won’t hear me mention it in my normal videos but these videos are useful for reaching a wider audience and growing a base, my last video related to this topic did really well so striking while the iron is hot.
Awesome! 👏 Interesting, useful and relatable content will always win the day :) I'm very glad that I was an "early adopter" of your channel and was able to play a small part with likes and comments etc.. Pleeeease keep it humble and don't do what so many channels do and turn into an advertising channel :)
I will definitely keep it humble. Yea I don’t just want to be an advertising channel. I will do some stuff (mainly to give me breathing room when projects can’t be built in time) those videos are quicker to make. I have a laser to review which I want to use in my guitar projects, got some free guitar electronics which I will not be doing a video on, just using in a build, but have a few builds planned to crack on with too. Thanks for being here since the start! It’s appreciated.
@stringsnsawdust :) I bought myself an entry level CNC / laser just before Christmas and have been having an absolute blast playing around with it! My granddaughter is enjoying all the stuff she is getting to tell me to make LOL PS I wonder if Festool will move into the laser space ;) haha
Screw the algorythm bro. Even though your growth might slow down, you said it best yourself - keep doing what you love and the right people will come!
Ha, yea, that’s the plan. Cheers!

Yea sometimes do have to psych yourself up to start the next one. Especially when aiming for weekly uploads! Cheers
An absolute legend. Well done and good luck. 🤞We're all waiting for that 1 video. All the best
Thanks! 🙏 appreciate it!
these words reflect exactly on what appealed me to sub to you in the beginning. and i can proudly say that also thanks to you i am currently working on recording my very first self made video as well, so THANK YOU VERY MUCH. and may your journey be amazing!!
Honestly, that’s so good to hear. Glad I gave you the nudge! Good luck with it! Enjoy the process!
Amazing to see how well your channel has exploded and it’s a breath of fresh air to watch someone be honest and humble, I think that’s why you’re doing so well so keep it up!

Yea good luck with it, it definitely takes a while to feel more normal but just got to keep at it!
Ha, thanks. I can’t resist engaging them. I just try to find a creative way to put them back in their box. All comments help! 🤣
Congratulations. I’m here for the wood work. Also an introvert. Look forward to the next 10,000
Awesome! Thank you!
So pleased its going well for you. You have such a natural way of making videos. Keep them coming
Thank you!

Nice, glad to know the first one is suggesting the second! Glad you enjoyed it!
I keep saying I'll start maybe this year I love your videos it surprises me haw meney people do some sort of wood work in the shed keep up the good work mate

@stringsnsawdust Thanks mate I appreciate it :)

Being real with people advertises to individuals out side your niche, At a certain point people watch you not your content. looking forward to seeing your next build!
Good point. I have a few ideas up my sleeve.
Congrats man!!! I love to see it

@stringsnsawdust that's great. Looking forward to it.
I'm editing a video as we speak. Keeping it simple as it's been quite a few months.
Not going to lie.. after watching your first one. I tried to make a similar video with hopes of it doing as well as yours. but i didn't. lol your just too good. Congratulations! Keep up the hard work!
Just went to watch it, watched the whole video. Great video, Your editing is way better than mine. Good luck with it!
WOW! you are amazing and bravo!

Fair play pal
Ha, thanks!
Congratulations on 10…now 12k subs! This is inspiration me, I’m still in the procrastination phase 😕 loved the bench you built in this video, looks solid, so you sell plans? 😊
Thanks. Yea the bench is rock solid, I built it from a great book on workbench building, I put a link in the description of the video.
Congrats :D
Thanks!🙏
But your videos are so well made. You must already have such knowledge! bravo! Fugh the haters. They do nothing anyway...
Thanks, it’s just an iPhone and free editing software…one of these days I will get proper kit!
@ wow! Bravo !
I just found your video and you got a new sub! Keeping being yourself and look forward to seeing your builds!! What is the router bit you used to cut for the biscuits? I don’t want to waste money on a machine to only do that and I saw you do that with the router and that is cool. Thanks!
