thanks so much, this is great! I'm a classical pianist so I really enjoy having the sheet explained, I might try to sneak in to the drum department at our school and try to play some of this...it's probably not as easy as you make it look tho...

Dude this is a great video and it was very helpful at certain places. Sadly when it comes to the verse part with all its variations, I was kinda lost in the explanation which bar refers to which section the verse.. perhaps it was a bit too rushed.

All the fills change a little. I didn’t have the ability to learn them all, but I can repeat the ones that are similar.
In some videos it has a double bass on the 3+ on the verse. Do you know what the original is like?

The second fill for intro and chorus is missing one beat though.
Hey, can you be more specific...what do you mean by 'missing one beat'?
I don’t know, I also counted it as twelve but when I play the intro and/or chorus I come up one beat short. I’m not sure if I play the floor tom too early as the first beat.
@@ralphcalilong2973 It's tricky to know what you're doing without seeing you play. All I can recommend is to slow it right down and check each note individually. Also counting 1 + 2 +...etc. rather than 1 2 3 4...etc. will make it easier to keep track of as you won't have any numbers with 2 syllables to count (this can confuse things while you're trying to coordinate your body simultaneously). It might also be worth slowing this vid down to 75% or even 50% to really check everything is where it should be. Hope this helps!

Haha, cheers dude. 'Inov-8 Bare-XF 260'. I've changed them since, but I can highly recommend any 'zero-drop' running shoes. They get your feet to work as they are supposed to.

I have a question Sir. Are you playing this song to the actual notes..or as you hear the drum part? I've watched a couple of tutorials and the sticking is different every time😳
Hi Tina, so my original way of playing this would match the other tutorials you've seen. When I looked at this in depth, I discovered he is left handed on a right handed kit. If you listen to the drums only file online, you can here that he moves from tom to tom in a way only a left hander would. It makes the song much harder to play, but is a great learning experience for switching between left and right handed lead. I would say that this is as accurate as can be, with the exception of me applying it to a 4 piece kit rather than a 5 or 6. Hope that helps!
@@DG-Drums Thank you Sir for your input. Im trying to learn this song but my speed is not quite there yet...it tends to sound messy😲. I guess the best thing is to start learning the chorus slowly without mistakes and build up speed from there. Do you have any suggestions?
@@drummergirl9735 Exactly that! Slow and perfect, try to eliminate any unnecessary tension before increasing the speed. Pick a fill, and loop it again and again so that it is automatic. Software that slows down songs are really useful, but I’d always train with a click track first.
