    • @RUEnglishGrammar
      @RUEnglishGrammar  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes we can use see this once:
      Articles with Miscellaneous Proper Names
      We use article "the" before proper names, such as names of schools, organizations, companies, buildings, places of interest, awards, nationalities, illustrating the use of articles.
      Awards, prizes, orders, medals
      Article the:
      the Nobel Prize,
      the Nobel Prize in Chemistry,
      the Nobel Prize in Literature,
      the Nobel Prize for Peace;
      the Pulitzer Prize,
      the Pulitzer Prize for Music;
      the Academy Awards,
      the Academy Award for Best Actor,
      the Grammy Award, the Tony Awards
      -------------
      Note:
      the + name of the award = the name of the award.
      Examples:
      1. Max Planck received the Nobel Prize for physics in 1918.
      2. Bertrand Russell received the 1950 Nobel Prize for literature.
      3. Oliver Stone received the Academy Award for best screenplay in 1978.
      ----------------------------------------
      a/an + name of the award = one of such awards. Examples:
      1. Mary Pickford received a special Academy Award in 1976.
      2. Jack Nicholson won an Academy Award for best actor for his performance in the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

    A dog is a faithful animal yela avutundi
    The dog is a faithful animal avvali kada

    • @RUEnglishGrammar
      @RUEnglishGrammar  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      "a dog is faithful animal" indefinite articles “ a, an” also mean ‘any’. When you say A dog is faithful, it means Any dog is faithful.
      "The dog is a faithful animal" this means as a class, all dogs are faithful. It is called ‘generic expression’.
      "A dog is faithful animal" is suggesting that if any dog is faithful. It is not talking about a specific dog, but about any/all dogs. So you should use the article "A".
      A dog అంటే ఏదైనా కుక్క లేదా అన్ని కుక్కలు అని అర్థం వస్తుంది. అంటే మనం ప్రత్యేకమైన కుక్క గురించి మాట్లాడటం లేదు అన్నమాట.
      If you said "The dog is a faithful animal", you must be referring to a particular dog (or)
      the kind of animal called a dog.
      The dog is a faithful animal." is almost equal to "Dogs are faithful animals."
      The dog అంటే కుక్కలు అని అర్థం లేదా ఒక ప్రత్యేకమైన కుక్క గురించి మాట్లాడుతున్నప్పుడు కూడా the dog అనవచ్చు.
      "The dog" = the kind of animal called a dog;
      particular dog
      "a dog" = any dog / all dogs.
      రెండు sentence లు కూడా కరెక్టే కానీ మనం సందర్భాన్ని బట్టి 'a' or 'the'
