I just received mine in FDE and am very happy with it and as Rick said "It's really cool." I like Rick's design philosophy, execution and that any change or modifications are done in house. The pivot screws and all screws heads that he mentions are superbly flush with the scales. The Tri-Way pivot system is a real nice feature allowing you choose the pivot system you prefer or try out one of the other methods. The ergonomics are excellent and it fits my XL thin hand perfectly. It's nice to own the real thing and even with the higher price, I have no regrets. You might feel the same way if you have one or have it on your wish-list. Update I think the 3 inch XM18 is just the right size now I have a 3.5 and I would never own a XM24. I like my Skinny so much, I ordered another in orange (my favorite color.) It's funny that when I first learned about Chris Reeve's knives, I thought spending that much money on a knife was ridiculous. Now I own a couple of them and 5 of Rick's.
Looks awesome, especially the sheepsfoot. For EDC, I prefer a liner lock to a frame lock. And for hard use, I prefer a back lock. I am still a knife noob, having just three years of any semblance of collecting. But I have enough experience to trust my own preferences. Looks like a winner.

Please think about doing a XM-18 3.5" Skinny, Non-Flipper, Non-Choil, Spear Point or Slicer, for us sometime. I'd sure love to get that next!
Hey rick Love the new skinnys! great compact size for EDC! Have you considered doing an titanium scale with hinderer name engraved on the lockside? giving it the old framelock vibe.

Just curious, do you like it better than the ‘higher end' steel 20cv? Is it just bc it’s easier to sharpen?

Are these on bearings or washers?
They utilize the Tri-way pivot system which means you can run them on either bearings or washers!
