But honestly I think most gutter mud is probably not good for plants. It will contain many contaminants from the asphalt shingle roofs, including fiberglass and tar, as well as pigeon poop which is pretty gross. Not a soil scientist though so who knows.
Every job on a roof is risky. If your scared, hire someone to do it. If you have the courage to take on the job, I hope you have some kind of insurance because you will be out of commission for a while or permanently.
