- Join me on a day in Alesund. We didn't have the best of weathers when visiting the town. We still managed to enjoy the picturesque town that is known for the art nouveau architectural style in which most of the town was rebuilt after a fire in 1904.
First we decided to have a walk around, take pictures of the building and just enjoy our surroundings. We have also booked a small train ride to the Byrampen Viewpoint . The small train was nice and it took as around the town as well for a drive true. It was disappointing to see that when we got back the price of the little train was cut in half. You can also walk up the mountain to the viewing point and it's something I would do next time.
Overall we really enjoyed our day in Alesund, just wished for better weather.

Norway is a place we definitely want to visit. Glad to see you were able to enjoy it even though the weather was not the greatest. The Serenity area on the ship looks very nice - i bet it looks even better on a sunny day! This makes me want to go back on a cruise!
Norway is amazing. And it's so close to my home I might do few more cruises there. I can't wait until we can go back to cruising!
