    🌸In the spring of 1997 I went to a private place to plead to God for guidance. 🙏 I was 17 yrs old. This prayer didn't last all day & night like Enos'.💛 However, it did last for hours. ⏰ Afterwards, I felt so much peace!😇 Soon after that prayer I met 2 young men in white shirts & ties. 👔 I'm so grateful for the Savior! He lives! 💙💙💙

      He blessed me too when I prayed hard with many tears. In time as I followed his will, a miracle happened. I was cured of a severe mental illness and on and off abuse for 14 years. It took perseverance and following a good, solid program of good and healthy habits, and happy, positive experiences. I became happier and more confident than I had even been before my illness. I was able to go back to college and/or work part-time for a few years, take lessons in three things I loved (sewing, art and the piano), sing in a choir for a production, serve in the church and in the community, do my own cooking, keep up the house cleaning and snow shoveling with help, and share talent development and job opportunities with my roommates. And we did lots of fun things too!! I also got almost straight “A’s”!!

    The book of Enos means so much to me. About two years ago, I became corrupted and confused and started looking at and supporting things I should not have. It lead me down dark, lonesome paths which led to me feeling worthless and miserable. About a year later, I decided to let go of this evil, and it wasnt until then that I realized how it had affected me. I came to a full realization of just how miserable and lost I was, and it hit me hard. It was then that I knew I needed to do something if I was to ever feel happy again. One day, I was reading the book of Enos when I came to verse eight. "Wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole." That scripture hit me, and even a year later it remains one of my most vivid memories. Since then I have grown and understood more than I ever did when in that darkness, and I feel happier. True, I still struggle, but I know where to go to find peace.

    While I’ve never had as dramatic of an experience as Enos, I can testify that God really does hear our prayers and relieve us of the burdens of sin. It has amazed me on several occasions how quickly He can replace my pains and worries with joy and hope. He cares about us so much more than we can understand and wants nothing but the best for us. I’d encourage anyone who wants more happiness to take a quiet moment and ask your Father in Heaven for help feeling His love for you. When He answers - and it may not be all at once - it will be an experience you will never forget. I can testify of that :)

    The book of Enos is one of my favorites.
    When the Lord forgives him he asks, “...how is it done?” And the Lord replies that it is because of his faith in Jesus Christ, notwithstanding Enos’ fervent supplication and repentance.
    Oh, to be forgiven of all my sins and to have that kind of love towards all men (and women)... especially towards those who think differently.
    The Book of Mormon videos have helped me and my family tremendously.

      Romans 5:1 "... since we are justified (have our sins paid for by Jesus the Christ) by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (2) through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God.....(5) and hope does not disappoint us , because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us." Forgiveness can be a process. As we learn to forgive others we will also feel the weight of sin being removed from our own hearts.

Within two weeks, Ramon asked to be baptized, and asked us what he should bring to the baptism. “And what should Angela and Pedro bring?” "They're coming?" "Oh yes, they're getting baptized,"
    Ramon explained that when he told Angela he was getting baptized, she exclaimed, " Ramon, you can't do this! You're Catholic, I'm Catholic, our children are Catholic, your parents and ancestors are Catholic! You are changing your religion like you change a shirt!"
    Ramon told Angela that he had prayed, and God had answered him, and that God would also answer her. Angela went into the bedroom, and shut the door. Five minutes later, Angela came out and said, "Ramon, your church is true, your church is true."

He taught a message of hope which most rejected then and now- the message of Salvation is available to all but most do not want the responsibility that comes along with bearing our cross- hope doesn't come through the Temple- living a Christlike life is where hope is found- obedience to the laws of God (i.e. questions in the Temple recommend) reflect our willingness to truly love God- John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments" - God's love for you is not conditioned upon your love or obedience to Him- He loves you perfectly and so He has shown you the way to joy and salvation through Jesus's teachings and Atonement

      That is so true, because God is with us always. God is a big ball of spirits centred in our head. This ball creates the physical body. It formed the body in the womb. If we don't repent it makes us have signs of ageing. Jesus showed his true body by it passing through the wall (he could have just knocked on the door!) to be with his disciples. We all have a true body Keaton. The physical body is created by light rays (spirits like light) sent from the periphery (Jacob's ladder) of our true body. The light rays intersect to form atoms. Each ray is a word of God, and when they intersect they form a complex sentence: an atom. It is actually more complicated than that because we have four senses that need to be created: sight, hearing, smell the pinnacle of feeling, and taste the pinnacle of touch. Hence there are four balls nested in each other, each with peripheries of Holy Spirit: love-charity, mind, heart, body. The widest and deepest shell of spirits is the Love spirit (Abraham 3:19) -- what our scriptures call the celestial glory. It is important to know our true body since Christ is coming soon and he who tries to save his physical body will lose it and he who surrenders his physical body will gain his true body. Rapture is like the death of the physical body. We must let go as if we are about to die when Jesus appears in the sky in January (3Nephi) 2034. God Bless.

    The sum total of our daily repentance can produce the same cleansing effect for our sins even though we may not have the same opportunity to repent all day long like Enos. When we repent, we access the power of the atonement of Jesus Christ most effectively. We often focus so much on the cleansing power of repentance that we may underrate its converting power. Sincere repentance helps us deepen our conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ. When we are converted, we gain a desire to strengthen our brethren just like Enos did (see Luke 22:32).

    Unfortunately for all those who thought the First Nations or Native Americans were the time-distant Lamanites the "VOICE" spoke about, DNA studies have indicated a total absence of any "Hebrew" significance within their bloodline. The "VOICE" must have been talking about some other group more related to the Nephites themselves, still unrecognized.

    • @Avalikia
      @Avalikia 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just because the DNA studies showed an absence of a 'significant' portion of Hebrew in their bloodline doesn't mean that they weren't among the ancestors of the First Nations or Native Americans. Lehi and his family traveled to the Americas over two and a half thousand years ago, so if they intermarried with other people already present in the Americas then the DNA they brought with them could easily have become dilute enough to be undetectable. Especially when you consider how the diseases that the Europeans brought over after the time of Columbus killed 90% of the entire native population, and the remainder often ended up being intermarried with the people who came over after that. So we just don't have a clear picture of what the DNA of the people in the Americas was even like before the time of Colombus, let alone thousands of years before. The trace amount of Hebrew DNA would very easily fade into the background - keep in mind that actually identifying someone as a direct ancestor gets sketchy after only about 5 generations, let alone trying to trace a genetic lineage over thousands of years. Which isn't to say that it isn't present, only that it's not detectable using even the most modern methods.

    • @stevenlester2606

      @@Avalikia Where is it written that they were sent to the Americas? Also, earlier statements of the Church have made clear that ALL "Indians are Lamanites and therefore, are ALL of the seed of Laman, who was, I'm just guessing here, Hebrew. Hence, either their DNA was Hebrew or it wasn't and isn't. And it isn't. Isn't logic a wicked thing?

    • @Avalikia
      @Avalikia 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stevenlester2606 It wasn't written in the Book of Mormon, but merely because the Americas weren't called the Americas back then. It was said and written by Joseph Smith, however. Also, any statements by the church about to what degree the natives were ALL Lamanties weren't ever a part of any explicitly inspired work, it was simply church leaders making harmless assumptions about things that in the end don't really matter. That being said, nothing I said before precludes the idea that they aren't ALL descendant from the Lamanites, only that the portion of their bloodline that is happens to be very small. It's cute that you're misinterpreting things to support your arguments, by the way.
