Can I just say that is a great thumbnail! 😊 I love the forest background to go with the Forestmen; and then the yellow writing matches their feathers, skin tone, and the archery target: it just came together very well! ❤
My brother and I enjoyed building these back in the day. I had a small container filled with extra plumes from all the castle sets we had. I think that container would be like gold now.
So nostalgic when i see set like this.I have vintage Castle 6018 & 6103 minifugures and i decided to put them in a photoframe with some scenery as a custom display.Great video!🙂👍
Awesome! The only Forestmen set from LEGO Castle I had/have from my childhood is 6066 Camouflaged Outpost and 6103 Castle Mini Figures (2 Forestmen); also have non Forestmen 6016, 6018 and 6060. I loved Robinhood and knight stuff when I was a kid. I would love to collect all the old 80s Castle sets though. I'd love to see LEGO reintroduce full lines of the 80s castle sets with updated techniques.
Congrats on your first Forestman set! I found this channel because I was looking for some info on this set. I managed to snag it back in the Spirng for $120 with instructions. Last week I found the box for it in good shape for $50! Anyways, I agree with you. The Forestmen sets are amazing. I fell in love with them back around 1991 when I got the Forestman River Crossing and the Crusaders cart for my 8th bday.
I love this set. 👍 Couple of years ago I was able to part out this and also the Camouflaged Outpost set from Bricklink. I even had the black plume from childhood because I had the set 6035 Castle Guard. Unfortunately, I broke the black plume. 😒It's so crazy expensive that if Lego doesn't remake the plume in black, I'll probably never be able to replace it.
8:05 "very Robin Hood-feeling" -- interestingly, I have a medium catalog from Europe, and apparently in England they called the Forestmen "Robin Hood," like 6066 was "Robin Hood's Secret Cave," and what was generically called 6103 "Castle Mini Figures" in the U.S. was called "Robin with friends and foes" over there. Not sure why the change
Very good review on this classic set! I think these castle themes just continue to shoot up in value and will grow even harder to come by. I was at a Bricks and Minifigs store in Tampa over the weekend and they said they "hardly ever get castle trade ins anymore."
I was at Bricks and Minifigs in Tampa last weekend while traveling! First time going to one! And yes, I don’t think people are selling their sets like they used to…which is both good and bad 😅
@@ForBricksandGiggles lol, small world! They had no vintage castle or pirates so I bought a classic space set and somehow found a crusader in their build-a-minifig tub
@@sonsofhk which Classic Space set? I’ve done a fair amount of volunteer work over there and helped them inventory and build a lot of Classic Space sets for them last summer. They had taken in two big Classic Space collections very close together and the store manager Adam asked if I could help them (because he knows I’m a Classic Space junkie) check to make sure they were all complete.
@@ForBricksandGiggles did you go to “Brick Convention” in Kissimmee FL (just south of Orlando) by any chance? It was just this past weekend (March 18th & 19th). It was the first time a brick show has come to central Florida……well, at least since I got back into LEGO.
@@DRUmBEaTTS oh thats cool they let people volunteer there. I bought 6927 All Terrain Vehicle. Prints were reasonable and it came with instructions. The guy at the store said I was lucky they had some classic space after a collection came in as you said
I probably love the look of Forestmen sets the most out of the classic castle themes. I'm happy I was able to get the Forestmen's Hideout gift with purchase last year, because as you mentioned about their prices, I'm probably not getting a classic one anytime soon, lol. Btw, talking about the minifigs made me wonder, have you ever considered doing a video listing your favorite classic minifigs?
I got that GWP too, now I really want to build it! And that is a great idea! I will start making a list...maybe top 100 favorites since narrowing it down would be difficult! Lol!
I may not be new, heck I built this thing months ago and then all 4 back of the box alts! But I just can’t get enough of the Forestmen (probably would be named Forestpeople today?) Yes the original brown is better and less breakable. I also like the vertical sliding door in this one.
Now I have to check every set if I have the correct treasure chests in it 😄 Love this set and I‘m so glad to own a copy of it. But it was so hard to figure out where some pieces have to be placed in the digital instructions. Have you build it with digital or printed instructions?
Right?! LEGO always has so many variations 😂😂 And I had to use a digital copy for this set, I try to get an original copy when I can but sometimes they are too expensive!
I can’t lie, the forest men are such a classic they are right there with the classic space figures, I’m super jealous you got all these figures
We all need more tree castles. This set is so cool.
Can I just say that is a great thumbnail! 😊

Oh my goodness! Yes that probably would be worth a small fortune!
Thanks!
Thank you! 😊
Great set
Brings me back to the days of my yellow castle. Awesome find!! 💚
I have that castle as well and love it!
Great set. One thing I've learned from my years collecting Lego, there is never enough display space.
Agreed! 😅
I love the classics! Fun video!

Never saw this set from inside, great vibes, thank you! 👍
One of my absolute favorite sets growing up. I remember it being just massive as a little kid!
Classic set. Never owned this one, I had the Forest Men Tree House though.
This is in my top 5 favourite sets I’ve ever owned! Thanks for doing a speed build and sharing it with everyone 💚
I had this set when I was little! It was so awesome! I still have it in one of my lego drawers with all the other lego sets, mixed together! :))

Love this. I have a couple of other sets I think, mostly complete plus the new release.

Just ordered this set from Bricklink the other day😁 I can’t wait to finally build it!!
Fantastic! Enjoy! 😁
Love it ❤
