As a Canadian soap maker, I can vouch for Voyageur and Windy Point. They have great pricing and the few times when I have needed customer service they have always been quickly resolved.
Hi, Katie! If you're curious about the wicking of Safiya's giant candle, I highly recommend watching Evan & Katelyn's video of them making the container.
As an owner of Lamps, Candles & Bears , Oh My! for 24 years, I am very happy for your testing kit videos! When I opened in 1999, kits were not really available, so you were using double boilers and adding sterine and other wax hardeners!, as well as color and scent. Then there was the issue with lead based wicks! Thank you for showing people a safe way to learn about candle making!😇❤️🕯

As a Canadian maker I've always had good luck with Candora and New Directions Aromatics. They're both in Ontario so shipping is cheaper if you're in Eastern Canada!
I haven't tried Village Candle yet, but I have used Freedom wax. The pillar blend is excellent for tarts, I make molded candles and I've switched to Nature's Garden for my wax. The candles look so nice though!
I just got a huge order from Village Craft today and everything was perfect!! Not the first time ordering but it is the first time ordering candle supplies, vessels, lids and wax. I'm excited to try them all out. I am Canadian so I can definitely 100% vouch for them too.
You can use those disposable chopsticks that come with Japanese/Chinese food to hold on the wicks. Just open them a bit to fit the wick instead of pull them apart. We always have some around because sometimes we are just lazy to use them and use forks instead 😅. And for my tendonitis using a fork is better for my hand too, I can't even use a ballpoint pen for more than a few lines on a notebook before feeling the pain.
These are my primary suppliers. I used to be able to drive to a town that they were in and pick up now they’ve gotten so big that they moved away for a warehouse, but I still find I get my orders very quickly. Their fragrance oils never disappoint. Customer service is also on point.
Hi Katie! I've been listening to old videos to help me sleep and I haven't heard you mention Caroline recently. How is she? Thanks for helping me fall asleep!
Thank you for making a video for the viewers in Canada. 🥰 Another Canadian shop worth checking out is Soap & More. I had a positive experience ordering from there. Shipping cost was reasonable too (they shipped with UPS), though I didn't order any big heavy items.
I love your videos so much! you're so kind and sweet and an amazing creator on youtube and your products are so amazing and i can definitely see the love and time you put into everything you do! just letting you know we all love you so much Katie 💗
Definitely appreciate this candle kit test. My hubby and i live in canada. So its really helpful to see what is worth it and available to us. Im really tempted to try this kit. It looks really good and the candles turned out beautifully!! 😊 id love if you ever test out any other kits from canada. Cheers from alberta canda katie!
BTW …shipping from the USA to Canada is much more expensive! 1) exchange rate from CAD to USA dollars is quite high, then add the shipping cost in USD & then add the Duty taxes in USD in order to pick up the package. It’s insane!
Good morning. Thank you for making the candle and wax tarts videos. I to make this stuff just not artisan soaps. Your an awesome soap maker you make my mornings I watch your videos while I make my products. I have a event coming up first one. Lol anyway just wanna say thank you for your time & great videos ❤😊
many many years ago, I used to work in a JCPenny's. Every time I passed the endcap of Yankee candles, I'd get sick to my stomach. IN the 90's all my smoker friends hand very large Yankee candles in their apartments. I wasn't sure which was worse. The cigs or some of the candle smells. Glad some of my senses have faded through the years.
When I went into the grocery store the other day and I live in Maryland I saw a girl in line at the grocery store who I was like she looks very familiar but I couldn't place her she reminded me of you but if you weren't so bubbly she caught me kind of looking over like I wasn't sure if I knew her and I explained she looked familiar but I couldn't place her until realizing she reminded me of a soaper I follow on TH-cam and she's like I wish I could make soap I should have told her to look you up
Hey lady!!! I am subscribed to you but haven't watched in almost a year. Your videos NEVER pop up on my feed even though I used to watch every single one!! Just wanted to say I'm back on your bandwagon and it's so dirty that YT does you like that. Everyday I'm like wow my feed is just the same videos over and over again. At least I have a ton of your content to binge now!!! ❤❤❤ sending all my love. I adore your content it's so wholesome and makes me super happy.
Hello everyone can someone suggest me. I made cold pressed soap first time. My olive oil keeps separating from my soap. Any suggestions please Thank you. My soap looks like deep fried.
Hi. I love the way you teach people how to make soap? My best friend Pepper reffered me to your youtube webside. I will be starting my soap business soon. I'am completely new at making soap. How do i sign up for your class for beginner?
Hello! Love your videos like always, but i would like to comment on the video quality(?), somehow it looks foggy, i don't know if it's the lighting o the camera :0 Your other videos don't look like this tho
I don't think I'd ever make soap, but I might be tempted to make candles some time (I already have way too many crafting projects). Still, your videos are always insta-clicks and I can never thank you enough for helping me get through a traumatic break-up a couple of years ago. Thank you for being you 🤍
Oh.. I really thought the safety stickers were stickers for some slight prevention against knocking the candle over. Spent the last few minutes thinking that was genius and considering if it meant i could have candles despite my cats.
I personally wouldn’t consider this a kit for reselling, just for learning! You can get bigger kits for them if you’re trying to start a business that is more bang for your buck!
You almost had enough wax left for 3 more candles, would be nice if they sent 3 more jars and enough fragrance for that, it being a lux kit and all. I hate having leftovers bits from kits like this.

Omg I love Evan and Katelyn so you mentioning that video was surreal!
You made a very approapriate pun when you called the candles "bougie" lol! Bougie is a french word for candle! Perfect for us Canadians 😊
Does bougie really mean candle?
So when someone says "that's so bougie" they're saying "that's so candle" ?

What should people do who don't have heat guns and all that? Do air bubbles affect how the candle burns or is it just an aesthetics thing?
