This video saved the day for us. I was even able to replace the glass pane without having to remove the hinges. Thank you, Steve. Thank you, Parts Select.
This was a very helpful video, thank you! I managed to take apart the entire door, repair the handle, clean every piece and put it all back together on my own. I really appreciate the guidance and would certainly order parts for my stove from you when the time comes. Thanks again!!
This video was VERY helpful. I had to replace a piece of glass and the only thing I had to do differently was to slightly bend the top of the hinges towards each other. I did not figure this out until I remove both side panels and noticed that when they were straight the tabs would hit the back of the guide and stop and not allow me to push in any further. I wish it didn't take me that long or require me to take off the sides to figure that out but it still beat the cost of a repair man and having to take part of a day to babysit a technician and pay them on top of it.
Great video, I tried without it but missed the part about clipping the hinge into the back piece. Glad I watched it so I new the glass when on the outside of the door side piece. Thanks.
I just watch these for the smooth background guitar music... ;) TIP: tape cardboard (or a paper grocery bag) over the broken glass to keep the shards from dumping onto your table when you remove the frame. Or if just a few cracks, tape over them directly to catch any small slivers.
The hinge slides into a bracket that is located on the oven frame and when lifted, should pivot out of that bracket. Make sure that the door is partially open and then lift and alternately pull outward on both sides.
Help!!! Our model # WLP83800 a self cleaning oven. We tried removing the door like in this video, without success. We're thinking the hinges works differently from the ones in the video. Is there a spring to unlatch, a pin to pull back? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
***** Our data shows this model uses the same door removal procedure as indicated in the video. Can you forward a photo of the area where the hinge enters the frame of the oven? Email is socialmedia@partselect.com
I have a kitchen aid combo oven/ microwave I'm trying to replace the inner glass but it has three pieces. Model number kemc378kss0. i didn't see a video for it. I'm not sure how to mount the center glass.
You will need to separate the inner door panel from the outer door glass. This usually involves removing screws along the bottom of the door and sometimes on the top of the door.
Help!!! I bought my inner glass from Reliable Parts after giving them the model number( YKERC507HW0)and serial number (IMJ3280436) but the one they gave me is much smaller than what my oven door requires!!! Mine needs to be 18" 1/4 long and 12"3/4 wide. They contacted Whirpool ( which bought Kitchenaid) to figure out the correct part number but it has been 2 weeks and my oven still has no door!!! Any thoughts and any hints? Thanks
Our data shows that the PS11747420 inner door glass is the dimension that you have described. You can purchase this from us and we show it as currently in stock.
I had called a repair service they said the I couldn't just replace the glass . It needed a door kit costing $380.00 plus labor . I took it apart got the glass and fixed it for for $6.30 !!!!
I figured out how to remove the door. I had to remove two small plates that were on the body of the stove. Each had a screw and were located just above the hinge. Once they were removed I had no problem taking off the door. My model also had another part that was under the bottom frame of the door. So all in all the video was helpful but not exactly as shown.
HELP! everything was perfect until the very end. I can't get the door back on. When I push the hinges down into the locked position, the slightest movement causes them to snap back up on me and I can't push the door back in.

Very helpful, I have a Kenmore glass top. This is the exact same procedure to change the glass. Saved me hours of hair pulling, Thank you!!!!!
The instructions were great! The most difficult part of the whole exercise was cleaning all the parts. :-) Thanks!
Thank you for this video. You saved me hundreds of dollars in a repair cost!
Had a couple of pictures when I took it apart a couple months ago but this video really helped with the walk through! Thank you!

Can any size glass work?
I have purchased a replacement for the inner glass but I am not having any luck getting the door off. Any hints on this would be appreciated.
My manual explains taking the door off exactly like your video but I'm having a difficult time removing the door.
When lifting up on the door and pulling outward, do the hinges pull out of the slots even a little bit? What is your model number?
No not at all
Whirlpool GR450LXLQO. The manual explains how to remove the door and it is exactly the same as in the video

Claudette Leblanc I have passed your question on to Steve and will let you know what he suggests.

You forgot to mention removing the hinge locks or whatever they're called before you try and attempt to get the door off.
