I feel personally attacked lol. I love watching the TH-cam channel Victory Outdoor Services literally for the concrete stuff. I'm glad they actually added mesh to it. Hopefully he does get on it to smooth it out and then score it to make it non slippery when wet tho. Still ganna probably crack tho since he assumingly doesn't cut lines into it.

The pond is really looking good. One thing that you might want to do is send the well water to the hatcheries first as the fresh water will help the fry to grow faster. Then link the two hatcheries together with the filters in the middle. Then run you a drainage pipe from the second hatchery to the main pond. It will help keep the hatcheries clean and run all the extra food to the main pond. As an added bonus make a waterfall at the main pond with the drainage so it will help bring air into the pond.

I think it looks pretty good. The concrete was dry looking wondering if they thought it would rain later. Definitely could have sprayed the concrete and worked the board while wet it will create a suction automatically leveling the concrete. After it dries a bit which it was to begin with. Use a broom to add texture for your tire grip. You had the right concept. Doesn't look half bad for a boat ramp. Can't wait to see the thing full of water, get some established water plants and some trees planted for landscaping/shaded fishing spots. Maybe start building a large dock, then you can place the feeder on the dock. Need to install a Zipline that drops you on a floating dock halfway in the middle of the pond. If you can't make the distance you fall in the middle of the pond.

Idk if you'll see the comment. But my daughter is 4 months younger than Brooklyn. And it's always cool to me, to see them act the same. With the tight hugs around the neck. And other little things I notice. I absolutely love this stage in my daughter's life. She can finally communicate super well, where I don't need to guess what she wants lmao. And the tights hugs and her little jokes she thinks is funny. I know you must love it too.

Andrew. You should attach your go pro to some structure around where the feeder hits and let it sit for a few hrs. That way they are not scared by anyone being nearby and when the feeder goes off you can see they action. Love the underwater footage. The pond is looking great!

Idea: make a sturdy stable feeder stand that sits just barely submerged under the water and have a camera with a light that activates when it gets dark then do a 24/7 flair pond stream, which watches the area that the feeder spreads feed over.

Flair I do have to say that trying to fly fish your pond would definitely work out amazing for you if you have some cager bluegills to catch and then you could clean and cook them for you and the boys!!! I’d definitely love to see you all give the fly fishing a try for sure!!! Plus I’d definitely love see some under water feeding frenzy on the go pro for sure!!! And remember the pond doesn’t have a liner in it!!! It has all the bentenite in it witch should seal around the stakes that you put in and shouldn’t leak I would think!!!!

The storm was crazy with 100 mph winds! We lost power for almost 18 hours. Luckily we didn’t have any major issues other than power.

The reactions to the fish finally being feed trained for the first time ever is so pure and hilarious
An idea I had for the big pond would be to build a solar feeding station get some of those solar street lights that come on at dark and mount them over the water u could easily take a 4x4 post and put some 8" lag bolts in the base (for anchoring purposes)then build a form and concrete it in u could place it next to the boat ramp to kill 2 birds with one stone providing light for the ramp and free fishfood.
Ice fishing jig with a small bobber with a worm and you'll slay them gills.
Need to add about 5 gallons of water out the gate. That was Sahara desert dry to start.

Flair should stock big blue cats and flat heads and put noodling boxes in the pond and try to noodle them
Also, use mop heads for the minnows to spawn on. Just buy a bunch at a dollar tree and ziptie sections of foam floaties to them like those ones kids use just cut them in like 4" sections

You should build a covered dock either next to the ramp or with the best view.
I’m a concrete guy at heart and spent a lot of my life flying fishing all over the continent. Reach out next time you pour some mud or want to learn to fly fish! I gotcha bud
If you switch the feeder in the minnow pond it might work better because it will be throwing the feed in shallower water, that is also calmer because of the filter.
That makes the pond official now. Home to giant’s in five years 👊
