And do you guys have any tips for me about serving, etc. Also I'm pretty tall so what would be a good position for me bc Ive only been to vollyball camp but never on a team

I've watched hundreds of volleyball matches, both men's and women's, and I truly enjoyed watching this one. Excellent digs, long rallies, and most of all very few service errors. Service error irritate my soul. Giving away points for no reason. Both teams were amazing.

you can't always set the ball with your hands. sometimes if you are not comfortable setting with you hands (like when it's a bad pass) you have to pass it up. i'm a setter myself and today we had a tournament. there were plenty of times that i was forced to just pass it. when there is an out if system play (when the setter passes first) then ofc the setter wont be able to set. or when there isnt the greatest pass which forced you to just pass it without using your hands.
Playing setter is one of the hardest positions to play, it also hurts a lot sometimes. Whiteout a great pass you can’t get a good set in without a good set your hitters won’t be able to get in a good hit. Sometimes it’s better to play it safe .
but the setter didn’t call help so that’s why she didn’t take it. and she was running full speed and wasn’t stopping till she hit the floor and nobody wants to be in her way during that
Could possibly be an area where the girls can’t afford certain professional coaching or can’t afford to play club but other than that they weren’t terrible just each had a few mistakes
alex xiang actually it is allowed. You can contact the ball above the net as a back row player as long as you’re not attacking the ball. You can attack from the back row as long you stay below the plane of the net. So again you can play the ball above the net as a back row player as long as you do not attack the ball above the plane of the net. Also she was definitely clean in the video.
Trista Everding you’re not supposed to call off the setter if she is going for the ball. it doesn’t matter how far she is, if she doesn’t call help and it drops, that’s her fault for not talking to her team

better than being quiet i guess unless you want to be seen as a “cool”, “mysterious”, or (my fav) “cold” athlete in front of the other team and their student section. personally i love celebrating big especially whenever i get a block because that’s one of the best feelings you could ever feel.

Bumps can set up hitters just as well, and sometimes it is hard to set a low ball. You do what you can. Speaking from experience

alex xiang actually it is allowed. You can contact the ball above the net as a back row player as long as you’re not attacking the ball. You can attack from the back row as long you stay below the plane of the net. So again you can play the ball above the net as a back row player as long as you do not attack the ball above the plane of the net. Also she was definitely clean in the video.
