this South Korean KSS-III submarine is at par with any other contemporary modern submarine in all manners of technological advancement. The most attractive features of it are Li-ion battery, proven AIP propulsion system and SLBM systems which fulfills all the basic requirements of the Indian Navy under project 75-I. I wonder now what are we waiting for ? let us start the negotiations at earliest to hammer out all the impediments that may come across and clinch the deal at earliest by 2023-24 and begin the construction simultaneously of 3 each in Mazgaon Docks & Larsen &Toubro docks to begin with. Good luck.
Amazing. South Korea and India started at the same time with AIP propulsion in the late 90s with acquisition of German Type 209s. Fast forward to 2022 and now South Korea has an indigenous large AIP sub with ballistic missile capability... and India doesn't.
@@mysygisun3335 Indonesia wanted loan to get the submarine and their financial circumstance isn't good at the moment. AIP isn't from Type209, SoKo indigenously developed own AIP for DSME-3000. Indonesia already purchased three Type209 submarines from SoKo, they have only signed for second batch of another three but didn't paid the initial amount as Indonesia wanted AIP submarine. There's DSME-2000 AIP submarine and they haven't decided, going for scorpene submarine 1800t AIP instead but that's still waiting for loan from French bank, and Indonesia borrowed too much, they probably not going to get a loan this year. May be next year.
S Korea has one of best micro nuclear reactor technology in the world. Don't need anybody to build its nuclear submarines. Just need agreement with Washington for reprocessing nuclear fuel. There is also Russia option for S Korea.
@@mysygisun3335 SoKo still need U.S approval on nuclear fuel rod reprocessing, without it SoKo can only go for 20% enriched uranium fuel SME which is likely be the choice for KSS-3 batch 3. But, I've heard due to aging fleet of other submarines, KSS-3 Bach 3 is going to be just DSME-3000 or DSME-4000 not nuclear powered submarine. May be KSS-4 submarine will likely be the SME power.

It is a good submarine but i would only buy the AIP for the in service submarines and French submarine for P-75I. Preferably in combination with the Lithium ion battery from Japan or something similar.

South Korean is the best example of talk soft and carry a big stick. Most people nowadays talk big regardless of what the size of the stick is.

Nothing comes out related to our SLBM programme... K-5, K-6...care to update the latest?
sure, will update in some time.
KSS-III + 6 VLS +AIP, excelente para la India. 👍👍

Just hope that the Government will sign the deal at the earliest and not scrap the project sighting single vendor situation…….
2 years will take to finalize the vendor.
Your analysis is very good but sound is not up to the mark. Hopefully with more subscribers you'll be able to invest in a good mic 🎤😀

because its a land based prototype. Its not proven.

Li-Ion is more important than AIP. SK has both the tech now.
2020 top lithium ion battery manufacturers market share
1. LG Energy Solution - 28% (S.Korea)
2. CATL - 25% (China)
3. Panasonic - 17% (Japan)
4. BYD - 9% (China)
5. Samsung SDI - 7% (S.Korea)
6. SK Innovation - 5% (S.Korea)
7. Others - 9%
Currently only Japan and SoKo possessed Li-Ion battery safe enough to use in submarine and marine craft.
