I first saw these GOTD videos about a year ago, so I haven't been watching since the beginning, but having been in love with vintage American made guitars for over 50 years now, I HAD to look through your channel to watch them all, over time. 500 is an amazing milestone. I've never waited on purpose to watch any live video, ever...but I'll see you tomorrow at 8:00pm, Eastern time.

What an amazing sound. That guitar is a national treasure.
I've been there since the beginning Mark and Jen. I go back and watch these things over just so I can hear you play the songs over again. Flat top Fridays are always my favorite. I prefer my acoustics over all my Electrics. I've always been a finger picker, Bluegrass lover at heart.
I swear to god that I've watched all 499 GOTDs, and all I can say is this:
BRING. ON. NUMBER. 500!
Spent a month in hospital not sure if I watched all 500 but I gave it a bloody good shot , boredom savior big time.

at roberto-venn we had the options of om or dreadnaught. i chose om, because i'm happy with my j45. i knew i'd never buy an om style, and building one was a lot of fun, to this day, i'd still build the om. i built mine with cambodian rosewood, which is banned for import now. extremely rare wood. two sets of that wood were sold our year, fall of 09. i've played my om out a few times, rarely ever play it. but it draws crowds. its a projector of a guitar, that really can pull people in. my j45? player friendly. it won't pull in a crowd. but the one time i decided to play my om i built, i had 10 people standing and listening. rare for me, because while people will drop money on my case, though i don't play for money, they never stand and listen... a truly unique style of guitar. mine is much brighter and sturdier sounding. tighter. but this guitar is woodier and natural sounding. i did a lot of mods in school, customizations to mine to get it to do what i thought it could , and turned out great. my buddy loved it. beat the hell out of it when we went traveling. i certainly know this guitar style inside and out. its nice to hear a real one. very natural sounding. if you increase the break angle a tad on the saddle, it'll really crispin it up.
I didn't start at the beginning, but did go back and watch the earliest ones. Wow, what lovely pulsing resonance - crisp and deep and soulful - rare indeed - sounds like tubular bells or something that shimmers
In the hospital recovering from a stroke and this video just makes me want to go home and play my guitar more than ever. I've been in here for a week and it feels like it's been a year. It'd make my weekend if you could do some Big Star on Saturday. O My Soul, September Gurls, Ballad of El Goodo, anything!

So far 8 people have given this the thumbs down...WHY..could the reason be "Christ I hate really incredible Sounding extremely rare Martin Guitars and I would much prefer to hear a £50 acoustic someone picked up in junk shop"..or could it be "That Mark Agnesi fella he don't play the guitar very good" ..I cant see any reason to give this video the thumbs down both Guitar and guitarist are excellent
