+SpeedemonTS10 I just want to let you know, K&L Trainz has released St. Louis Southwestern Railway (or Cotton Belt) L-1 4-8-4 Northern #819. The 819 is the last steam locomotive for the railway, built in the Pine Bluff shops in Pine Bluff, Arkansas in 1942 and 1943, which is during World War II. It was used primarily for freight duties. The 819 was retired from its service in 1953, having accumulated 800,000 miles in her 10.5 year service life. Two years later in 1955, the 819 was moved up to Oakland Park, where she sat on display under a roof outdoors exposed to the elements, rusting way and being vandalized. In November 1983, the Cotton Belt Rail Historical Society (CBRHS) was founded. The non-profit organization asked the railway that they are going to cosmetically restored the 819 and place it back to Oakland Park. However, unknown to the Cotton Belt, the employees and volunteers have a different plan for the 4-8-4: They would restore the engine back to operating condition within 3 years. So, with $125,000 in their hands, everyone went to work restoring the 819 and in April 1986, it was finally restored to operating condition. This time she pulled many excursions. She even made an excursion from Pine Bluff to St. Louis, Missouri for the 1990 National Railway Historical Society (NRHS) convention in St. Louis Union Station, where she will join with Union Pacific FEF-3 4-8-4 Northern #844 (painted in the Greyhound paint scheme), St. Louis-San Francisco Railway (Frisco) T-54 4-8-2 Mountain #1522, and Norfolk and Western A class 2-6-6-4 #1218. The 1522 and the 1218 are the two engines you ran. She had the life of 7 years from 1986 until 1993, when she is taken out of service and placed at the shops, now called the Arkansas Railroad Museum, where she is on display, waiting for restoration. It features the L-1 in its as-built appearance with a dark grey smokebox in the 1940's with 819, 819 with a grey and silver smokebox, scrapped sister engine 814's tender converted to an auxillary tender in the 1993 season, the consist by the CRBHS for 1990 NRHS convention, and the Southern Pacific GS-8 4-8-4. Can you do a video on it, please?
