Thanks for the upload! i just arrived from vacation and it is a pleasure to see your content here!
Thanks! Hope you had a good time on your vacation!
always loved this domain and was annoyed at how little information I could find about it
Obrigado!
Thanks! Hope you like it. A good part of what I present here is from the Dread Space book on Dms Guild, since there is little information on Bluetspur on official sources. Hope it can help you to flesh out the domain.
I'm curious about the details you've added.
I would love to hear your thoughts about it. But to have a full scope of the details, perhaps it is best to wait until the video on the Ilithid God Brain. In the History video, I don't reveal every single detail about the secrets and horrors of the domain.
Your Thaani expansion was pretty cool. More connected than mine.
Thanks@@docnecrotic
I can see why Bluetspur and the Nightmare Lands were removed from the core because they really were too alien to fit. Its a bit sad that they took away the constant lightning in 5th ed as it really makes it mandatory to go underground. And the tremendous nerf that the Illithid vampires got. When I ran Ravenloft, I did put Bluetspur on the moon. I think it really works well there.
Bluetspur works better as an isolated domain. The moon is the perfect place for it! It's far, but not as far as you like to be from a colony of Mind Flayers They are always watching from the skyes.
I like the idea of a nightmarish domain such as Bluetspur just around the corner, in a neighbour land not so far away. Like, where everyone knows what kind of monsters live there, and witch could come to any village or small city from Barovia or other neighbour domain and devour everyone in their sleep. That's my idea of eternal fear. Not having it planted on the moon. 🙆♂
There is merit in this notion of terrible horrors just beyond the next hill. But to those captured by the ilithids, the horror is much greater if they discover the extent of their isolation. Imagine a group that fights to escape the ilithids experiment labs, to reach the surface, and then discover that they will never escape since they are on the moon or surrounded by mists.... It can have a powerful impact, just like the end of the original Planet of the Apes, or movies like Alien, where there is no help anywhere.
You speak Portuguese, so I'm curious if you're from Portugal, or Brazil?
Thanks a lot! For some reason TH-cam didn't alert me of your comment! I'm from Brazil.
Am I losing my mind, or do 2e Illithids have shorter tentacles than later versions?
Indeed. It seems that their tentacles grew as the editions passed!
Cliquei no errado, mas já dei lile pra ajudar hahahaha
Valeu!
