    The white covering on the bracket that is mentioned in the video is just plastic. Make sure to peel it off.
    Also, if you're looking for this exhaust on Amazon it tends to go out of stock quite a bit.
    There are two alternatives that look the same. Although, I WON'T guarantee they are the exact same as the Ransoto/Anodizing version.
    This is the link to the actual Ransoto/ Anodizing exhaust - amzn.to/3fkJbe8
    If that's out of stock try this...amzn.to/3DH5s4n
    Or this...amzn.to/3RzVcAR

    I like how you went back through the different sounds again. Sounds good with the baffle in, but man, without it...... that takes the cake.

    I've run this exhaust for almost 5 years. 100% tune your bike with power commander or a flash if you plan on keeping your bike for many years. The baffle needs to be out to get the HP gains. It's actually quite alot with the snorkel off. Very noticeable in the top/mid end, didn't notice any low down gains. The exhaust has started to rust. Also the exhaust isn't properly aimed away from the bike so soot builds on swing arm and spool on that side. I actually took the exhaust off last summer and put the breadbox stock exhaust back on and remapped for it. Though going to put it back on today as I don't tour much anymore. Sound does get annoying after 3-4 hours on the highway. Before you try to remove the exhaust nuts on an older bike might want to warm up the exhaust first or soak in a penetrating oil of some sort a day or two before. Last time I did the job the whole stud came out of the head and all the nuts have started to corrode over the years. I went thru ali express instead of just paying for re-seller on amazon. Saved quite alot but obviously take longer for shipping. Valuewise this is quite a deal but keep in mind running this pipe long term untuned long term will probably cause some damage. It was overheating alot sitting in traffic, also bike got very noticeably slower with tons of decel popping while untuned as well. If I ever would do this again, I'd get the flashing kit and go with a better exhaust like Akrapovic. Flashing kit gives you so many more options other then just fuel mapping like fan cut in/cut off, amount of engine braking, etc. Or just get the MT-09.

      This is a great overview. Thanks for sharing. I agree that there should be some sort of tune. Whether you use a power commander or send it out to be tuned would be good. Mine is still in great shape after all these years. But I also wipe mine down after every ride. And yes, it's loud. After a few hours, it can get annoying, even with ear plugs.

    If anyone has this and wants a bit more noise without the unrefined sound of no db killer at all, you can take the end cap off the db killer. Gives a nice middle ground that’s loud but not obnoxious like no db killer is (imo). Think it has the best exhaust note this way

      MotoRider The exhaust sounds great; a great deep throated burble at idle & slow to medium acceleration, a real growl when the throttle is opened up. A little popping in the low gears on deceleration, quite normal I’m told and not harmful to the engine by my local Yamaha dealer. Having the ‘noise’ when accelerating actually makes gear changing easier & smoother; great going through the mountains😀

    • @MotoRider2
      @MotoRider2  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rogervalkenburg9328 - Awesome. if you get it tuned the "popping" will go away and the bike will actually pull a bit harder in the mid rang.

    • @MotoRider2
      @MotoRider2  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Both gaskets should come off. It could just be the gasket is stuck in there. You may have to get a tool in there to pull it out. Also, the pipes could be a little wider than the slots so they don't fit perfectly. A little muscle to push them closer together will help them fit. I had to do that slightly.

    Hi MotoRider, I purchased this exhaust after seeing your video. Question, Should i most def get it flashed before taking it out for a ride or can the flash wait? One more question, do you have the baffle in now or did you end up leaving it out? Thanks for the time!

    • @MotoRider2
      @MotoRider2  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I rode it a few times before getting flashed. There was definitely a loss in power and it would backfire with and without the db killer. So for me I didn't want to deal with that so I got it flashed right away. I'm not a mechanic so I couldn't tell you if not flashing it will hurt anything in the long run. All I can say is that the flash made a world of difference.

      @MotoRider2  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. The ecu was flashed by 2 wheel dyno works. I liked the engine braking and was worried about it being eliminated with the tune. But the engine braking didn't go away after the tune. It just made it a bit smoother when letting off the throttle. Not that real jerky motion. As for how it runs, it runs great. No backfiring, and it pulls better in the mid-range.

      Very happy with it. Definitely worth getting a tune for it.

    Will it need a tune up?

      I'd recommend getting the ECU flashed. It will run much better with it

    Someone on Amazon said it's leaving discoloration on the swing arm, is this true?

      Okay thanks man

    • @MotoRider2
      @MotoRider2  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd heard of that as well and was concerned when purchasing it. But so far I don't see anything. I've checked to see how hot the swing arm gets because the exhaust points at it a bit and it only gets "warm." I also just make sure to wipe down after riding. But so far, so good.

    Do you need a tune after this process?

    • @MotoRider2
      @MotoRider2  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm no mechanic so I couldn't say if you "need" a tune. But I had it done and it makes a big difference in how the bike performs. And it's not that expensive so I'd say give it a go. Check out the review video on the exhaust you'll hear a bit more about this.

      There's a screw on the bottom that you just unscrew.

      Yeah. I've heard that happening here and there. In fact I made the mistake of testing to see how they fit before putting the new gaskets in. Hahaha, that was a mistake. I got them in pretty easily but couldn't get them out. Took a lot of muscle but was able to get it eventually.
