DeKalb Sycamore Illinois Route 23 drone flight ( Ellwood House to Culvers )

Location: Dekalb, Sycamore-Northern Illinois
A 2021 drone flight down Sycamore road / Route 23.
This drone flight starts at the the Ellwood house in DeKalb, just next to the Clinton Rosette middle school and heads Northeast up Sycamore Rd. (Rt 23) towards Culvers in Sycamore.
It's about 4.7 miles between the Ellwood House and Culvers restaurant.
I tried my best to make this look like one continuous flight , however it was actually spliced from four separate flights as I moved northward.
This footage was shot on September 18th 2021 using the DJI Mavic Air 2, Smart controller and ND15 lens filter.
As you can see the lawns are very brown as we're in the middle of a
severe drought here in Northern Illinois. Normally the grass is lush and green, but not this year.
The area has changed so much and if you used to live in DeKalb or Sycamore and want to see the changes, you might enjoy this.

This is fun! I usually find myself driving down 38 and not 23. The area still has somewhat of a small town feel. Nice job!

Thank you!! I wasn't sure how it would turn out. This was a project for a friend that wanted to surprise a relative that hadn't seen the area in a while. Truthfully though Id love to do a flyover from east to west of rt. 38 sometime...
