What a match from 16 year old Laura Samson 👏🏻
What a performance from Samson! She is the future 🌟
She indeed is. She might be the next Swiatek, but let's not overhype her, just because she won against Siniakova. It might have been a fluke, because for Siniakova more important are Paris Olympics.
Czechia doesn't fail us to bring us big talents and that's another proof for that! Seeing her successful career in juniors and the great performance her debut WTA tournament, Samson is definitely one to watch! I only hope she won't become another Linda Fruhrvirtova (a wasted talent unfortunately) or another Muchova (who suffered with a lot of heavy injuries)...
how is Linda Fruhrvirtova wasted, then she is only 19? give a break to these young players
@@Babelmenas usually i am giving chances to young talents. In 2022 Linda made a big breakthrough and i believed she can improve... But in 2023 she slowly started to slow her tennis level and now she is in serious crisis from which will be very hard to escape
What a player Laura Samson is. She truly played great. Her ability to withstand huge pressure will come handy in the future. Her rally tolerance too. She truly is amazing player. Let's see how far her career will go, because she is another promising Czech young player. She truly deserves this win. Let's hope that she can go to at least Semi-final of this tournament.

Such garbage for me. I guess i should not have bet against someone i had not researched. I just needed another leg to add to my parlay and chose this b/c #2 player vs ??? At -600 odds. Bs cost me $100.

Because there's already a Samsonova on tour, and she didn't want their names to be mixed up
There have already been several cases when these players confused their matches because of a complete match in the protocols - L.Samsonova.

Czech grammar shows wives and daughters of a husband/father with his name ending in -ova (if the name is a noun), therefore Samsonova. Czech media report foreign woman names with -ova. Yet, some Czech women now want to be "different", copy foreign rules, and call themselves without -ova. They even succeeded o have such a name in the passport. But that does not overrule the Czech grammar.
