@@brandondias2881 economy of scale by using the same carbon fiber body and components for every car. RS chassis are less expensive if you’re not going full custom. I think the other figures are high, but I’m also not a buyer. I need to get my 1 of 1 Vector built first and have been quoted less. I can see the prices ballooning to this and the timeline at a few years.
@@RobertLewisHUB you were quoted less than 375 for a full custom build? I’m thinking that’s a deal. What’s the specs on it.
@@brandondias2881 yes. I have the body, but it needs to be assembled (3 pieces) and I want to do a period ‘72 build with modern brakes and suspension. 350 carb’d with ZF transaxle and mid-engined RS chassis.
Perfect Design, but a drilling machine engine???
I know. This car needs a fire breathing V8.
Sorry but the backend and front of the first car look like they belong to 2 different cars and to my thinking the rear end is awful and the front end looks like a Mini Cooper
Do you prefer the original ‘53-55 Corvette design? Some of the original elements were modified and it looks like they used custom Mini Cooper headlights.
@@RobertLewisHUB yes,, wasn't this kindig it's first car solelt designed by them to go into production?wonder how many units they sold.
@@t-bonewhufc6429 yes, their first production model. I believe they’re making 24 and approximately 1/4-1/3 have been built/sold so far.
@@RobertLewisHUB thanks for the info ,do you know how much they cost?
@@t-bonewhufc6429 pricing isn’t listed, but I believe they’re about $300-375k with EVs being cheaper.
Meh
How would you improve them?
@@RobertLewisHUB I'd rather see an authentic, factory prortioned body and just build from there. The car just doesn't draw me in and I love Corvettes
@@calvincooley1074 I love the original, but there’s very little room to drive them. Steering wheel is too large and close to the seat. They dropped the floor on this and used better seats and a smaller, more modern wheel. Stunning in person and usable.
@@RobertLewisHUB perhaps I would stretch a repro body & doors 4 to 6 inches and width the same. Do a smaller steering wheel, toss a Roadster Shop chassis under it and drive it
@@calvincooley1074 restomods combine the best of old and new. LS power with upgraded suspension, brakes, A/C, and a more comfortable interior would be perfect. Most of these CF1s sadly won’t be driven to their potential.
Electric?.. no thanks...
Same
I liked thi😢guy but do real things, not just another American car. Americans should learn the world exists and it’s interesting
Which cars would you like to see them build?
I've got nothing but praise for anyone that builds cars from the ground up. Their own chassis, their own suspension, their own body. It's not easy.
@@Xcellcress Roadster Shop built the chassis and Lingenfelter the 427 cubic inch V8, but other than the power train and rolling chassis, it’s basically Kindig.
@@RobertLewisHUB believe me Dave Kindig is plenty capable of building the complete car from almost nothing… ! Some are so hard to please .. (TALOR DUDLEY) …..Dave could have put in a de-tuned FORMULA ONE TURBOCHARGED MERCEDES BENZ V-12 AND SOME HOW THEY WOULD FIND FAULT…LOL..! HIS MOMMY PROBABLY WOULDN’T BUY HIM THE MOST EXPENSIVE PEDEL CAR AND HE’S STILL CRYING…! 😭🫣🛴
The silver one please !
Perfect. I’ll take the dark blue one 😎
Now that’s a corvette I hate the new corvette it looks like every super car from Europe but this is what a corvette should be
Back when Corvettes were classy
Really like Dave but his prices are ridiculous.
I would say he’s in line with the other top shops in the country. Prices for everything are ridiculous
Those wheels are horrible
2 large or you don’t like the design or both?
