Bro my bike battery nominal voltage can be 12.4-12.8v what happens when I use your 4s 16.8V system instead of that because its output voltage was high compared when it's used in bikes

Hi brother, i made a 4s lithium ion battery with a 30 amp bms. After completing the wiring the bms out put voltage is below 12 v. At the battery end its 15 to 16 v. I did nt connected to charger yet, only connected a battery level indicator,.. When i first conneected the charge indicator it showed the charge which is full, after some time its not shwing anything. Then i checked the out put voltage found below 12 v.

I have installed a 4s 40 A BMS on my drill battery and everything seemed fine but when I started testing the drill with the new battery the mosfets started to smoke and burned out. Can somebody help me ? Is it just my model or are these BMS not really 40 A ? I think mine would have worked with 5-10 A but not 40. ( I am glad that it was the bms that failed and not the battery’s)

How much time will it take to charge
Wondering if I can get some help with a 4s 5p battery I have built. The BMS looks identical to the one in this video. I am charging at 17v 0.5amps and cant seem to engage the cuttoff. Not sure whats the highest point each cell could hit. On my last charge I had some hit 4.246 before I unplugged. Wondering if I'm ok to let it go ? or if I am charging it wrong... also the battery has a live load while its charging...not sure if that makes a difference. But its pulling minimal from the battery during the charge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I have tried 12v 30 amp it works. This can handle current up to 40amp if I am not mistaken
There are few mistakes needed to be corrected
1) You should not solder the battery but you should weld it because due to some reasons the battery will heat up when dicharging when it is soldered
2) Use thick wires to carry the current(ampere) more efficiently because the small wire could heat up when carrying high currents
3) You should not give exact 16.8 volt to bms because when the bms balances the cell voltage, it needs some more voltage to complete the whole process, so you should set it up to 17.5 volts or 18 volts
4) Also use fuses
And I know you won't reply but see it and it's fine but correct those mistakes because we are playing with electricity 🔌😑

19v is high considering this I think you should go with 17.5v . But the current is no problem
How to connect the fuses? the fuses between the batteries act as replacement of the cable to burn in case of short circuit, i am new on this..

Bro you need some thick wires to connect batteries that thin wire will burn if drawn even 10 amps
You are only mentioning 4S. You forgot the 3P. No schematic but what you did is 4S 3P. And where does the 40Amp come from ? 18650 in 3P will never deliver 40Amp. A single 18650 can deliver around 3Amp for 1 hour. So in 3P this will be around 9Amp for one hour.

You can connect it permanent , if you didn't use the Charger that is more than 16.8, I am using 16v 4.5a charger , and I connect it permanent for 4 days and the battery is not changing more than 16.7v , when the battery charge reach 16.7v, the charger now start to cool down without hot again till I use the battery

Heya I loved the video man 👍 I have a question regarding my 4s BMS, I just installed one for my 4s 4p battery and I got 16.40 volts out of the BMS which is good but whenever I plug my battery to a load the battery immediately drops to 11.16 volts and but it drops to 4.8 volts when I start using the load with the battery. Can you tell me what's causing this? The BMS and battery cells are brand new.

Mazen, I took the liberty to respond on behalf of the Author ( publisher of this video ) The answer to your question is YES and NO. Will it work? Yes, of course it’ll work. But, it’s always good practice to use “almost” same capacity and type of cells. FYI there’s no such Li-Ion cell with 6800Ah power in existence. In order to Check the capacity of any Li-Ion cell, you need to charge it fully to its Power capacity (4.20volt) and discharge it; keeping an eye on the final reading. The reading will be in mAh. That will be your TRUE mAh reading of that battery. Cell LABEL is always deceiving. Good luck.
