QUICK TIP!! if you already did the ai spline you can actually update the ui outline image through content manager if u go to content, tracks and then select your track. you will find two options in the bottom (update outline, for ui purposes, and update map, for ingame purposes) thank you so much for the tutorial, i got a lot of valuable tips and advices from it
I'm glad I found this video, they are building racetrack and a kart track in my city, the only thing I know is that the tracks are only available for rfactor 2, I'll try to recreate it in Blender to Assetto
The only thing that will get in the way is not having land level curves, because the tracks are being built outside the urban part of the city, so I don't have that information

Note: You don't need to remove and paste the track folder in assetto corsa all the time. Just replace the kn5 file when you are saving in KsEditor by double clicking or select and save.

Hey, thanks for the tutorial but I have 1 small question. I've exported my track and upon testing I found it's quire short. I then went to google earth and compared the sizes. My route IRL is 4.77km whereas the version in game is only 2.4, so about half the real size. What would be the best way to make the track bigger without affecting anything?
it took me about 5-6 hours of straight recording, but since April I've gone through so much of being broke that I barely had time for this, as it wasn't too high on my priority list. Then of course I recorded it a few times, because there's stuff I left out on the first few attempts, or it was just too slow

Just a tip for anyone exporting and checking things in game/kseditor a lot, and unless i missed it it's not mention in the video, SAVE PRESISTENCY after you set the shading values, this saves the settings you put and loads automatically once you reopen the track after making changes, if you don't the map is gonna look like the 1st time with the shadows and such all messed up
nice tutorial I'm just having trouble when extruding the road, the further I extrude the mesh, it seems like it moves forward instead of staying at the start point, like it runs out and whenever I try to join the two ends together it throws an error :/
when i try to do the landscaping, if i se;ect the road object, go into edit mode, it turns into 1 straight line instead of the shape i made it how do i fix this its my first time using blender so its a big learning process for me nevermind, i rewatched it and fixed it

@@italianrex8243 check the "surfaces.ini" file to see if IS_PITLANE=1 if it doesn't change it to 1. Otherwise, maybe you have 2 objects on the same place and one Is called road and the other pit?
banking is tricker to implement, but basically, while you still have the road object on a curve, go into edit mode on the curve, select a few point and then ctrl + T

unfortunately, if you can't Ctrl + Z back, you'll have to select all mesh in Edit mode, press A to select everything and S then Z then 0 (zero) to flatten it and start over

@@zoomingpast good video anyways but i recommend to go and remove all of the unused edgeloops on your road before you make the terrain because on the straights you really dont need any loop cuts
@@nishos29 what you can do is just assign the road texture onto the terrain where it's wider, and when separating, you just separate more along with 1ROAD0

That is super weird because Blender's distances should match. there's gotta be something along the way not lined up properly bcz that's a new one
@zoomingpast I see, I exported as 0.02 and it helped it increased the track distance wise from 2.4 to 4.3

renaming 1ROAD0 to 1PIT0 (it's in the video at the end) will automatically set the limiter to 80kph
