I agree with those who suggested looking for a new doctor/clinic. I’m currently pregnant with my first IVF baby, and I used the best IVF doctors in my state. It was concerning to me when you listed the size of your eggs and they still wanted you to wait for the smaller ones to catch up, because I remember the sizes were already way too large and it was clear you were going to lose those larger eggs. They shouldn’t have let them get that large. I believe it’s best practice to suggest to trigger you as soon as 2 eggs get to a size 17-18. That’s what they did with me, and ended up getting many eggs and I am much older than you. One way to find the best doctors in your state is to use the SART report, where clinics report their success rates for IVF. You can also look at the list of Top doctors as voted by their peers on Castle Connolly list. IVF doctors are sadly not all the same and simply switching doctors can make ALL the difference. It’s important to find clinics with the best success rates, because you want to be sure that the whole practice is good at what they do, that includes the embryologists they use! The doctor could be great, but if their embryologist is outsourced or not that great, then they won’t be able to fertilize as many eggs or help them get to blastocyst. Usually clinics with the best success rates will brag about it on their websites.
I'm also pregnant with my 1st IVF baby and agree with you on the egg size thing. My clinic instructed me to trigger as soon as I had a few hit 18-19mm. They collected 19 eggs which 18 fertilized using ICSI and 13 sent off to test. I'm also much older than Mindy. 🤞 for Mindy ❤
@@jesigarcia37 Yes! I am 38 and I had 17 eggs collected when they triggered me at 18mm, 12 fertilized with ICSI, and 7 sent off to test. I wonder is Mindy using ICSI? That could be a game changer for her as well!

@@MeeraalqasimiI 100% agree. This clinic seems to just want their money. I’ve noticed many questionable things with them over the years. Mindy, I would also recommend reading as much as humanly possible about the IVF process and procedures you will be having. Learn about ideal numbers, what you can do to increase egg quality, etc. Don’t rely on the clinic to give you all your answers. Nobody cares about your health as much as you do so take control of it for the best results.

I have stage 3 cervical cancer and was recently in this past few days and currently still in the hospital being treated for a pulmonary embolism on my right lung totally freaked out but the staff here are truly amazing caring souls and don’t get enough credit for their profession

If you decided to try again if it doesn’t work this time I recommend reading “ it starts with the egg” as well as try to do stuff that would improve your eggs quality.

Bring a sample of the water and algae to a place that handles pool supplies. They can test your water and find out what it is and give you the right chemicals to get rid of it.

I LOVED the ACOTAR series--I've read all but the last one to savor it. A Court of Wings and Ruin is probably my favorite, but I am excited to hear how you like the second one, it is definitely much different than the first!
The mascara I randomly found at the airport was MAC's In Extreme Dimension--it was about $28 so it wasn't cheap for mascara, but I've been enjoying it and that's basically the only makeup I wear when i remember to put it on, but it looks so smooth and nice!

Praying for you and Larry during this waiting period, I can't imagine having to wait and not know results right away. Although my husband and I haven't gone through IVF, I feel like I'm right there with you with these vlogs and updates. We're currently expecting with our first baby (a girl, due in August). Pregnancy so far has been pretty easy - no nausea, food aversions, etc. But, I am currently dealing with going to a nephrologist (kidney specialist) due to there being some protein in my urine and I'm taking blood pressure meds to prevent preeclampsia. So many doctor's appointments; it feels discouraging, but I'm grateful that baby girl is doing well and healthy and everything else is going smoothly.
I've got to try the telescopic mascara! I currently use the Essence brand, but it does clump which makes me think I need to try a new formula.
It's getting warmer here in Upstate New York, although we've had some rainy days lately.

The problem with the whole nation of pay per service medical is that they are known to tell you that you need this when you might not need that because it would be way more money in their pockets than a reversal. This causes you to come for many doctors visits and a lot more money in their pockets With all the subsequent procedures.
That's a good point! Also, what most people don’t know is you still can get pregnant if you have intercourse with a man who had a vasectomy, but the chances are very low.
I am a high school dance teacher approaching the end of the school year, which is always bittersweet. I am excited for the summer as I have several dance performances coming up. I love having summers to be able to take a break from teaching, and dance for myself. I am also looking forward to having more time to read. This is one of the most busy times of year for me. I am really tired, but also really happy that my plate is so full of amazing dance-related things. I teach dance at a high school, I teach adult ballet at a studio, I dance on a professional company, and am participating in 3 other independent dance shows. My heart is so full...but I also need a nap.
I am going through POTS syndrome which there is no cure for unfortunately. I am taking it day by day but watching your videos makes me imagine that im living a "normal" life. Thank you for the videos and please keep them coming to distract my mind.

Mindy I will say always get a second opinion, I went through a situation where I thought because the first time went well with this service next will be great as well; wrong I went for a second opinion and found out I wasted 3 years with that other service. It never hurts to get a second opinion!

Hubs and I had our NICU baby last week...born at 35 weeks with induction from me having seizures from Lupus. We have a 2.5 year old and 2 10 year olds, so carpet is for sure our friend and we love it 😂. We had tile in our old house except for bedrooms, the falls are a real thing. And it feels more welcoming to me; doesn't feel as cold when we all walk in the front door ❤. I am absolutely praying that your embryos make it all the way, even if it's just one. I will remain hopeful for the 3 of you. Love yall so much and hang in there sweet girl ❤

Just ordered my medication for my second IVF cycle. Probably starting towards the end of the month. I did my first egg retrieval towards the end of March 2021. My beautiful daughter was born December 2021.
I had two remaining embryos. I had a missed miscarriage at about seven weeks last August. Failed transfer with my last embryo this past January.
Such a mixed bag of emotions going through this whole process again, however, feeling very grateful that I’m able to do it again.

Going through researching and preparing for fertility preservation. My boyfriend and I aren’t ready for kids yet, but I’m 37, so seriously considering egg freezing and possibly embryo freezing. Been watching your content because it gives me info on the process and I hope it works out for you! I’m nervous to go through the full cycles, as I’m not trying to get pregnant right now; but desperately want a healthy baby in a few years time. So IVF for no baby. 😂😂

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you 🙏We did another retrieval in November, and have not had any success with a transfer yet. We are doing another transfer this month, but it is going to be a more modified/natural. So I am only using PVC's, and Clomid. I get to skip PIO this time :-) My transfer isn't for a few weeks still!

I have to ask....does your fertility place do ICSI? which is when they actually inject the sperm into the eggs in order for them for fertilize. There is a cost of course but I had that for my IVF and it helped tremendously.
I cant imagine what your going threw but I could agree maybe finding a second opinion. I have 3 babies naturally, our 3rd I have to take clomid but that was because of being 36 at the time and my doctor said we needed to get pregnant quicker due to age and medical condition I have, which it worked with some downfalls.. yea I am sorry what your going threw and it's rough with so many emotions.. we prat for you guys ❤

I've got to bring my cat in for dental surgery next week, his second dental surgery, just getting some teeth pulled and a cleaning, I hate seeing him so down after it from all the medication. My husband and I are also trying to plan an overnight trip to Salem,MA, really looking forward to that.

Mindy when you can use retinol again, go to the dermatologist and ask for a prescription for Tretinoin. It’s stronger than anything you can get over the counter and typically much cheaper with insurance. My sister pays $5 a tube that lasts about 6 months, I pay $50 but it is still more cost effective and beneficial in the long run!

Yes I agree the original protocol was the best. I can’t believe they put Mindy on Lupron and upped the dosage of all other meds. She responded pretty well the first round. Higher dosage meds usually have lower quality eggs unfortunately. Still have hope these will make it. ❤
Her numbers have always been really low in my opinion. I agree she maybe needs a second opinion or maybe someone who can figure out what's going on with her fertility besides just "my husband had a vasectomy"

It might not be so simple. I think I recall her sharing that they are on some kind of “plan” for multiple treatments or some kind of performance metric. I don’t remember the specifics but they could be “locked in” to the clinic unless they want to commit to a chunk more money.

The clinic should have kept you on the same protocol that worked with Liam. I went to a reproductive immunology doctor to have my second due to secondary infertility and the doctor said if I decide to try again, I would be on the exact same protocol ❤
@Mindy - as someone who went through infertility, I’d be curious to know what your AMH levels are? I’d look into that re: diminished ovarian reserve due to the # eggs being retrieved unless your doctor already discussed that with you. Just something to look at as you move forward. That could explain the number of eggs and why many didn’t fertilize. Other than that, I have no words other than your emotions and feelings are valid. ❤

How do you know? Are you a professional? Just because things didn’t go the way she wanted? Get real
Gamer changer for fatigue/brain fog days: hold off on drinking coffee at least 90 minutes after waking up and moving. Drink your water + electrolytes and THEN make a coffee. It gives your body a chance to flush out the sleepy chemical in the brain, Adenosine. When you drink coffee first thing, the coffee just blocks the adenosine. It doesn't get a chance to flush. And as soon as that coffee wears off, the adenosine is still hanging out, making you sleepy again.
This is just speculation, of course. I have no idea how long you've been awake before making your cup of Joe 🤪
