Oh my gosh this just touched my heart ❤️ my baby is 18 has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease . It's absolutely killing me . I've been so stressed out !! Trying so hard to at least make him feel comfortable . I don't want my baby to go !! Please pray for him and me Lord knows we need it 😭 so glad your baby is doing better !
Stumbled upon your vlog because my cat has been hospitalized for 2 days now. I took him in because he was unusually tired and quiet. Was devastated to find out he has kidney disease and most likely only has months to live. He's only three years old. The vet says in his case, this was probably a genetic problem. Which makes sense because he has always had a lot of strange behaviours and tummy issues. Apparently the kidney failure probably was not bad enough to create obvious signs or show up on any tests until it got to this point which is why all his other vets never suspected it. My heart goes out to you and your cat. I felt your pain watching this.
One thing my vet told me is that younger cats have a higher chance of surviving kidney disease due to their young age. I'm sorry you have to go through this too, all of us cat parents are in this together, Josh and I will be rooting for you and your cat! How is your furbaby now?
My cat's doing better now. I've been giving him supplements and Urinary S/O cat food as the doctor prescribed. Now his Stage 4 Kidney disease lowered to Stage 2. He's overdue for the next blood test, but I haven't the budget yet. I hope all the best to you and your baby.

My cat was 4 years old when he was diagnosed. Fortunately, the doctor said he has a high chance of a successful surgery due to his young age. I now feed him dry food, but give him wet food for dinner bc he gets really picky eating the same food, that spoiled queen. For the cone, he wore it for about 2 and a half weeks after surgery. Although for the 2nd week, when he got really tired of it, I would take the collar off AND look after him to make sure he doesn't bite his surgical wound to give his neck a bit of rest. Your such a good cat momma 💜 I just went through this but my cats blood test came back with extreme high numbers and some never appeared bc they were out of control. His kidney had been damaged and yet after having him at the vet for a week, he still was not eating, only a few licks of his wet food. He was the best baby boy ever and quite a lover. He was 2 years old. I had to put him down by Sunday bc I had no one responsible enough that would of been able to babysit him as I had to go back to work on Monday. Just sad. But I wish there were more people like yourself and myself. Your cat is very cute and is very happy with you! He loves you!💙
How could you put him down? I took care of mine until she decided it was time. I spent all my money on her (she had other issues). I took time off work. She was my baby 😥💔
My cat she’s the same exact color and pattern! She is in hospital under tree for her kidney disease. We found out one yr ago and been giving her under the skin fluid. What kind of surgery your cat had? Was reading on kidney transplant for cats and seems only 3 places in US doing those surgeries.
We gotta love our tuxedo cats right? Josh only had surgery for the crystals in his bladder, and the doctors only discovered his kidney disease then. He only took kidney supplements and some medicine and his stage 4 kidney disease reduced to Stage 2. Sending all positive vibes to you and your cat.

His surgery was around Php18k + his medication and prescribed food which I forgot how much.

All the best of luck to you. Josh's doctor mentioned that the success rate for recovery is higher if they're younger than 4 years old.
