Good discussion. The bible and qu'ran outlines the beasts form correctly, once angels now fallen. Whilst I do not follow a religion, if I ever were to, it certainly would not be literally. There are some churches that represent God's True spiritual nature perfectly I can attest to that.
    Peace

I think it is important that we, as Africans, define our own path and how best to progress and survive.
And although I agree that Christianity is the religion of Europe, however, we have to admit that the Christian worldview has produced the modernity of the West. I do not mean to imply that the worldview is true, but that it has helped Europe advance.
It is to this letter point that I think we need to pay attention. It is clear that we as Africans have also survived for thousands of years. In fact, we have been around a lot longer. In order for us to compete in the world of ideas and the usefulness of the ideas, we have to reform our African theological worldview(s) in order to meet similar standard of Christian Europe or better.
There are quite a number of worldviews in the world that are competing and yielding some good results, but the Christian worldview seems to be the most reformed and advanced in its utility for the common people.
I could go into the utility of Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Jainism, and many others. However, the focus here is how to make African worldviews relevant and progress producing.
There are a few things that advanced worldviews produce.
    1) Balanced temperament
    2) Basis for moral progress
    3) Wealth distribution system
    4) Reverence for higher self
    5) Society of civility & respect
    6) Health & welfare of society
    7) Education secular/spiritual
    8) Political governance
    9) Safety - internal & external
    10) Internal & external trade
In order for us to embrace African theological or religious worldviews, we have to know that our African worldviews will be able to yield similar results to, or better results than other worldviews.
The question is are we willing and able to do it?
    What were your thoughts?😂

eddie b Yes China has progress by the sheer number of their population. However, there is still tremendous slums in China. Take also India, you will find tremendous poverty. Our African story is more singled as being worse because if a more accepted worldview bias.
There are so many problems in so many parts of the world. Take many eastern European countries. Many live in poverty and many are constantly on the verge of wars. Look at what Russia does to counties around it. They are brutal. Heck, look at our system in the US. Our corrupt politicians write the bills in Congress that provides the loopholes that allow them to steal from us legally. And they do this year after year.
Our African stories are not so unique, but seen as such due to bias.
      Thanks for the engagement.

I agree with you that Christianity is not the end all and be all. Unfortunately, because Christianity has diminished the value of mystical teachings, the enlightenment that Christianity is a catalyst for is materialistic and heartless. That is unfortunate.

Akindele Bankole where was Christianity during slavery, world wars, Europe has screwed our history we gaining little bit by bit. We are aware of the world now we should stick to our own way of worship, Christianity and Islam is not us we need to find ourselves.

I think we need to expand this dialogue worldwide to the people of the diasporas. We have come to a time where we need to stand in our own truth. Being raised a Christian and the product of Penecostal parentage, I’ve often wondered about a lot of things I’ve been told about the Bible. In our schools we are taught nothing because our parents had no story’s to leave behind out side of difficult times. Having graduated from an Historically Black University, you challenge those believes systems and their origin. Thank you so much for your insight, because in essence for me it can be narrowed down to “the making of a civilization”. This journey has been enlightening, thought provoking and empowering.
