2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic with Vance & Hines Longshots Installed

Here is the bike with the new Vance & Hines pipes installed (2 hour job on your own). Extremely happy with the sound. Now when riding cars hear me coming and they look twice. Much safer than the quiet stock pipes.

I am so close to buying these same pipes. Right now my 1999 Classic 1500 has the Vance and Hines 2 into 1 Pro Pipe, that is what came with the bike. It sounds ok, but not as good the Long Shots. This video might have convinced me to buy them.

Did you have to do anything to the bike jet or power commander for the pipes. Sounds good

No, that was the first time I started the bike after the install. Stock air and injection. I later installed the power commander and a baron big air kit which were more challenging jobs (the air kit was the hardest) and this boosted the power by a lot! Sound remained the same. Hope this helps.

Jeff Raven I also replaced the reed valves with the blocking plates to remove the popping on deceleration and removed the air sensor kit. After that I relocated the rectifier from the ugly goats belly to the front of the frame out of sight.Both really easy jobs.

I have the same bike and same exhaust and I was wondering if you had trouble making the ends of the pipes look completely straight with the end bracket given?

did you add a tac as well on the bars if so how hard was that to do. thanks in advanced
