    maybe the reviewer is not really know what durable and lightweight means.

    That’s how that should be , if the plastic is harder is going to crack under pressure . Is really durable. Samsonite offers 10 years guarantee..

      I'm having S'cure for 9 years, set of 3, heavily used (every year at least 2 vacations + multiplr small trips with medium or hand carry) and only this year it got white marks. But true is, I usually carry around 30-32kg in 2 big luggages. Never got anything broken inside. I love the locks - I would never buy any luggage with zipper anymore. And thinking now about new set - S'cure again or Magnum.

      The case needs to be flexible! what do you need a liming inside, that's rubbish.Without lining you can clean the inside much better. i never buy suitcases with lining becazse when backing my suitcase is clean, i also use desinfectant.i only have Samsonite case and they last all you life

      @@DivaBara88 I like the look of this case with the locks and that it has no zip. I would much rather leave valuables in this case than cases with zips.

    Samsonite made the shell specifically to be flexible and bouncable so when it falls or something is dropped on it the suitcase will not crack and just go back to the original shape.

      My reaction when I saw it bend was "Nice, it's flexible and won't shatter when dropped!", didn't realize people saw it as a negative.

      @@Snailman0 I don't think they understand the benefits of the flexibility. They just think well if it flexes it must be cheap and rubbish?

    You missed the whole point man, its flexible but durable on purpose..

  • @soulslaveone
    @soulslaveone ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Totally disagree with this guy! He clearly didnt get the point regarding the durability of the thing: -The Magnum is made of PET- plastics. Can U name anything more durable than a PET bottle? Yeah, it flexes and its neither rigid or thick. BUT THATS THE WHOLE POINT! If flexes and takes a punch! AND you will never get your fist thru that thing, even if you say so! I have been using this thing for a long time and it still looks new.

    What you saw as negative I saw as something positive. Being flexible and durable should be good

  • @peterharvey153

    The Samsonite Magnum Eco was designed to be a hard "flexible" case.
    Magnum Eco is NOT designed to be a hard "rigid" case like the old Samsonite Aeris F'Lite and the S'cure etc.
    Samsonite should clarify on their website that Magnum Eco is a hard flexible case, and not a hard rigid case. Watch this Samsonite Cosmolite get driven over by a car and still bounce back to normal: th-cam.com/video/svhTFFhS5q0/w-d-xo.html

    I dissagree, i had Samsonite hard shell bags for the past decade! They never broke. My carry on is Magnum eco and I believe it’s fantastic! Yes it’s bending, but NOT breaking…

  • @mellewisselo8025
    @mellewisselo8025 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    I don’t really get what is wrong with it. All samsonite suitcases are designed to be flexible. This doesn’t mean it will not protect the stuff inside. It is designed to bounce back to its original shape.

    This is a stupid review. It is an empty case that he presses down on and it returns to the original shape with no deformities. That is a good thing. It's light and sturdy. I agree with the lining bit but overall this is a case of someone not actually knowing quality.

    Is this your first modern (light) Samsonite? It seems like it. Firstly, the price is on the low end for Samsonite. Their cheaper offerings don't come with a liner. As for it feeling flimsy to you, that's because it's intended to be lightweight. That does not necessarily mean it will get destroyed easily. I've had several different S luggage which have traveled the globe with me. Sometimes they show up on the luggage conveyor belt with a huge dent, but it pops out or can be pushed out. That's just what you get with thin material. However, mine has never cracked or broken.

    they didn't add lining to keep it light weight -3,7kg. it make sense, but this material doesn't looks like a proper Polypropylene. i have a same size and same weight luggage from Roncanto and i can confirm that it should not be sooo soft like the one on the video. not a good model at all >< i use my Roncanto for 7 years. but now i have a problem with a lock >< and trying to find same model but there is none in Thailand ((

    I‘m locking know for a video who’s explaining, how to open it without numbers 🙈
    No, i wouldn’t recommend to buy that suitcase for the reasons you named !🙈
    …and to the flexibility: if the suitcase full packed, you have a hard time to close it…to bring it on all sides to the write position!!

    Thank you for your honest review, I was about to click on "purchase" and I saw your video. On the Samsonite website a review was saying that if the suitcase was half empty it could fold and let some white using marks on the shell. I will finally pick a S'Cure DLX or a "Regular" Magnum (not the Magnum ECO) which are made of regular plastic and are way more stronger.
