They’ve actually collaborated before! The singer of Amon Amarth participated in Saxon’s song Predator (WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU REACT TO). Both vocalists harmonized most of the lyrics in that, made a GREAT contrast
If you want more Saxon, you’ve got 23 albums to catch up on (about to release their 24th album). For the classics, *highly* recommend Wheels of Steel, Denim and Leather, Power and The Glory, Strong Arm of The Law, and Solid Ball of Rock, and Forever Free. For the newer stuff, Lionheart, Killing Ground, State of Grace, Live To Rock, Battalions of Steel, and Predator (which features the singer from Amon Amarth, and THUNDERBOLT ⚡️
One thing, Saxon are not a Hard Rock band, they are a classic Heavy Metal band who came to prominence as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal explosion that hit back in 1979. And both those guitar solos were by Saxon guitarists Paul Quinn and Doug Scarret 🤘

Forget about growling for a while and start with the NWOBHM. Saxon is pure Heavy Metal. (No subgengre at all) Definitivly no "Hard Rock" - I'm quite shocked by that!
i remember like 15-20 years ago, wanting to befriend biff biford on facebook, but facebook wouldnt let me because he already had 5000 friends which was the maximum back then lol

Yeah Saxon were pure metal. One of the pioneers of NWOBHM. I believe they were bigger than Iron maiden at one point.
@JillVALENTINE320 they were, and personally I believe they have a more consistent output quality wise than Maiden, certainly this century 🤘

Saw Saxon last summer when they played at time to rock festival here in Sweden, they kicked ass.
